That's from Bravely Default? Dang.

Also, am I the only one disturbed by "Fire Emblem Amie"?

I think it's to make up not being able to marry your waifus this time around...

W-Wait....You can't marry your waifus in this game?

Its not really a matter of you can't marry them, but more that it hasn't been announced that you can do as such.

Since its built on the same system as Awakening, its either already a feature in the game, and they just haven't announced it, or they have yet to port that specific feature over to this game yet as it could potentially cause coding issues. I would assume that the issue is the latter, as the new Amie feature would end up affecting a few variables that deal with support. Also, they might be remodelling support conversations, and maybe they could even be in 3D. Either way, if they get rid of this feature, I have a feeling that this game won't even sell half of what Awakening did. :P

Either way, there doesn't appear to be any time traveling or time skipping in this game's plot... Meaning more likely than not there won't be child characters like Awakening or Genealogy of the holy war. In short, if there is marriage in this game, it's just by titles alone and wouldn't effect anything. Intelligent Systems normally don't add anything that doesn't need to be in the game.

To top it off, many have complained that Tomodachi Life didn't have same-sex couples, Nintendo might try to avoid that controversy again by getting rid of marriage in their games all together. To support this, notice how you can invite same-sex characters into your room. I could be completely off about this, Japan doesn't have the same issues as Americans and the Tomodachi complaints were almost non-existent until it got localized, I'm just saying Nintendo likes to play it safe to keep themselves family-friendly.

So will FE If have a marriage system? Let's just wait until July when the game comes out in Japan.

I hope the idiots of this world don't drive Nintendo out of having marriage in games.....

I'm hoping it'll be confirmed whether or not marriage is in the game at E3 on the 16th. I seriously hope it is and that it doesn't have same sex couples. *crosses fingers*

I wouldn't worry about same-sex couples, honestly. Tomodachi and Fire Emblem are very separate games after all. The only thing they have in common in Nintendo.

But yeah, I do hope we get this kind of Info at E3, Fire Emblem didn't appear in Nintendo Direct yesterday so they might be saving it as a more major announcement.

That scene at 4:41.......awesome!

[spoiler=new classes]

New classes: Songstress, Maid, Lancer, Butler, Revenant Knight, Rod Knight, Bowman, Pegasus Warrior, Oni, Priestess, Ninja, Karakuri, Spellcaster, Samurai, Weapon Master, Strategist, Youko, and Garou.

Also 9 save spots confirmed.

A new item called the Parallel Seal has been introduced which changes a units class into another class of the same tier, but does not reset the level nor does it allow class demotion like the Second Seal did.

Weapons have built in stat modifiers including increased Critical avoid or decreased defense stats.

*Slight off-topic since I will talk about Nintendo's E3 Direct*

This game, StarFox Wii U, Mario Maker, Mario and Luigi game that looks like Paper Mario and Sticker Star crossover was most interesting parts of the direct.

Otherwise, the Nintendo E3 was mostly disappointing eh.

Also, Fire Emblem Fate is a better name than IF. xD.

I wish I could like your post 100000000 times :P

It probably means more time traveling but I don't care.

Fates sold over 300,000 in it's opening week in Japan. 40,000 of that is the special edition.

Let's put it this way, in it's first week the game almost outsold Binding Blades all-time sales.

To be fair though, it is technically two different games.

That's why I'm getting both :P so I can enjoy the companionship of both cute girls <3

Fire Emblem Fates is looking to be the best FE game ever! Thank goodness they got there act together and didn't make Awakening the last game like originally planned. (FE:A sold so well that they realized they would be fools to stop making FE games) :P

le me has a question since it's been a while since I checked on news about FE (and I forget stuff easily ._. ): the mc (the one you play) is customizable like in awakening or there's a standard mc?

He's customizable.

I seem to remember reading that the MC in Fates is more customizable than in Awakening.

I don't remember that specifically, but I do know the Avatar this time is ACTUALLY the main character, unlike Robin who hung around Chrom for 20 chapters until he become part of the plot...
