Optic
Anyone seen this old classic, Shakugan no Shana? I finished watching it, along with Shakugan no Shana Second and Shakugan no Shana Final not long ago and it was an interesting experience.. started off as a typical supernatural action/adventure. A bit of love triangle between Shana, Kazumi Yoshida and Sakai Yuji. Of course the highlight is on Shana. She's mostly an angry tsundere badass loli with a katana during combat: Always amusing seeing Shana enjoy her melonpan: By the end it was convoluted with the huge scale it tried to potray amongst all the new characters they introduced. But it was a heart warming one as the characters do develop throughout all three seasons. @chiefyamaki
Yuuki_Radosian
Just finished season 1 today ,I enjoyed the series quite a bit but being a huge fan of romance I was really disappointed with the way Shana and Yuji's relationship developed (or more accurately didn't) , Yuji was unbelievably slow to realize Shana's feelings even othe MCs who are notoriously slow would face-palm. Other than my little rage on romance I enjoyed the series quite a bit.
Optic
Nice to see you like it so far. Yes, their relationship is frustrating to say the least. Typical oblivious MC. But it does get better. Even if it did feel slow at times and the villains over the top, Yuji, Shana and Yoshida develop into very strong characters by the end of the third season. Yuuki_Radosian
I only have up to the end of season 2 at the moment but I should be getting season 3 from a friend soon. I hope all goes well for Yuji and Shana but i think there will probably be some big fights over Yoshida. Aside from all that , what was up with Yuji's "reply" to Shana when she says she loves him , he just smiles back (guy has some serious 3alls to do that)
Ryuji
Shakugan no Shana....such a wonderful long anime 3 seasons, 24 episodes in each season. Near perfection. Shana was always so adorable whether she was eating her melon bread or yelling "Urusai Urusai Urusai!" (I love absolutely adore that ) Season 3 was a struggle to watch to say the least. Don't get me wrong, it was quite good, I just wanted to punch some sense into Yuji. Also, this discussion needs to be linked with the anime landing page I created for it.

Optic
To give Shana-chan more presence, I added a large picture to this landing page @Ryuji and combined your two summaries together - feel free to tweak it further. Hope you're OK with that.
Ryuji
I'm totally NOT okay with it It's fine Optic.....although I must ask, why is it showing that I started this thread when I wasn't even a member in Oct. 2014?

I'm not sure why but it seems when I transferred the landing page to you, you also inherited the first post I made in this thread. Will look into it.

mechaBD
I got half way through season 2 and put this on hold for awhile. Although I like this anime I kinda feel like every battle is kind of getting dragged out a bit. I defaintly wanna see the ending though. As long as Shana and Yuji end up together I'm good. Optic
Although I like this anime I kinda feel like every battle is kind of getting dragged out a bit. I agree some of the battles dragged on a bit, particularly against the recurring main villains (I forget their names now). But in a way that was necessary to get them developed for the final third season in a climax battle... I defaintly wanna see the ending though. As long as Shana and Yuji end up together I'm good. I can assure you the ending doesn't disappoint. Ain't that right @Ryuji?
Optic
Added a thread cover image. Also, one of the semi-villains I really liked was Pheles - the green haired woman. If I recall she was introduced in the second season. I particularly liked the way she bonded with Yoshida later on. Looking at the characters again makes me want to rewatch this sometime! KimmyKins83
In all honesty, I gave up on watching the rest of Shana after the first season, not so much because I wasn't liking it, I just didn't think at the time about continuing on with any of the other seasons and just genuinely forgot all about them
