User Feedback

This won't be a fair rating because I only watched the first episode, but it had some red flags that turned me off immediately.
The plot and characters were really interesting, and I was getting somewhat invested, the animation is also quite pretty. However the big problem was doing fanservice of a minor in the middle of the first episode. Yes, sure, anime does that a lot, but it's a big turn off for me personally. If that's not your thing, I don't recommend this.

Violet Evergarden is 100% a must watch anime! It has amazing characters, animation, plot, music, art and so much more jampacked into 12 episodes, 2 movies and 1 special. I know people often exaggerate when they give a show 10/10, but Violet Evergarden certainly deserves all the stars.

[I realize that you can do reviews here, so I will be copy-and-pasting the review I gave before here!]

I can't help but notice the lack of discussion on the anime "Violet Evergarden"! Listen, this anime is so great and heartwarming (as well as breaking) that it kept me watching it! It only took me around days in total to watch the series [ + special ] and the movie altogether! In total, it was a really good and well made story. I have a lot to talk about with this collection!

╰┈➤ The Plot: [10/10]

I know that sometimes when people put "ten out of ten" they are usually exaggerating, but I honestly had no problems with the plot! The aventures and pains that Violet had to face had me grabbed completely and it was very understandable. The show took topics that are really personal for some really well and I respect it for that! I was able to keep up with the plot, and thats very important
for me! Of course, I am not going to say anything that has happened, due to spoilers, but trust me on this; this anime's plot is amazing.

╰┈➤ The Characters and Their Development: [8/10]

Oh my gosh yessssss! Violet is queen, prove me wrong. Violet (along with other characters) show such amazing improvement in this anime. You can see her grow as a person, moving on from the past and looking forward to the distant future. Even the smaller characters show development! Of course, I prefer some characters over others, but they are all still really good! They have okay designs (not my style, but they still fit the era!) and have beautiful personalities.

╰┈➤ The Music [7/10]

The Music was so fitting of the situation, and were very beautiful! I wish there were more diversity though!

╰┈➤ The Art: [10/10]

The art is the first thing that grabs my attention in animes, and let me tell you, it sure kept me hooked. From the magnificent backgrounds to the facial expressions that the characters made, it was a work of art. I don't recall me ever thinking that something looked "off".

╰┈➤ Overall: [10/10]

I loved this anime, and I hope you do too! Go ahead and leave a reply on your opinions on this anime as well!!

What do you think about a mannequin wanting to understand love?

Let's take aside my biased rate for a moment and dive into this miraculous world. It's great graphics and story telling are certainly out of the ordinary. High Budget = High Quality

All of my expectations have been fully satisfied. The story takes place in the early 20th century. Precisely in the aftermath of a war where the main character has been a part of. Unfortunately, the anime ended with a cliffhanger. What happened to the Major was what I asked myself throughout the whole series. Don't google it if you don't want to be spoiled.

Violet Evergarden is a bunch of unique stories from people who Violet meets during her journey as an Auto Memories Doll.

I can't say for sure if I liked the anime or not. It's more of like an "okay" anime well at least in my humble opinion. It didn't really leave an impression on me and I find it hard to empathize with the main character although the plot is new and refreshing and steps away from most animes. Common favorite genres like Romance, Comedy and even Drama is present in the anime. The setting of the anime is also good a somewhat after-war medieval age, the characters are okay and the animation is just amazing. As always, the essence of Mono No Aware is present and a sort of cliffhanger is to be expected at the end of the anime, spoilers alert! But so far, as a whole package, I find it hard to digest maybe because it's just not my cup of tea.
