I am very much a fan of anime that takes place during the Victorian era because I adore the period dress of the characters so Gosick got points from me right away just for that. The first few episodes admittedly were a bit odd to me & didn't seem to make any sense. However, as the show goes on all the bits & pieces start coming together & the overall story that is laid out is quite engaging; most notably the backstories of the two lead characters, how their pasts bring them together, & the incredible bond that develops as a result. These two characters in particular have such tortured souls that they just draw you in & don't let go. You can tell the creators took their time & enjoyed fleshing out each character because they all have so many layers. The twists are brilliant & the mysteries that get solved are interesting. I also like the animation style & the music is wonderful. The only thing I would wish was a bit different would be to have had a bit more action but other than that I was perfectly happy with what Gosick had to offer.

A Fantabulous Anime

The fragments of Chaos are all lined up. I'll reconstruct them for you here.

Gosick has quickly climbed towards the top of my absolute favorite anime list. It even rivals my favorite Toradora. You have Victorique, your classic tsundere who is this lonely girl who can solve any mystery using her Wellspring of Wisdom as long as all the pieces of chaos are present and then you have Kujo who is the third son of a Japanese Soldier and is referred to as the "" Black Reaper"" who comes in the Spring by his fellow classmates. Together, they solve many mysteries.

There are even references to actual Historical events so that's a major plus in my book. I love it when fact is intertwined with fiction.

Victorique is, of course, my favorite character in this brilliantly made anime. She's so cute and she has a back story that will ensnare your heart and make you just want to keep her safe.

I'm quite sad that I'm finished with the anime. It's one where the characters will always stay in my heart.

Overall, I must insist that this anime be watched by all 😛 It's super fantabulous!

The Good
Victorique <3
The Inclusion of Historical Events
Fantastic Music!

The Bad
They shouldn't have changed the ending theme halfway through.....the second ending theme was inferior to the first one.
