  • Episodes: 24

Princess Yona lives a life of luxury and ease, completely sheltered from the problems of the seemingly peaceful Kingdom of Kouka; however, the sudden murder of the king and betrayal of her beloved cousin Su-won places Yona's life in mortal peril. Forced to escape only with Son Hak, who is both her childhood friend and bodyguard, the naïve princess soon discovers that Kouka is not the idyllic place she envisioned it to be. Poverty, strife, and corruption run rampant, making reclaiming the throne nothing more than a wishful fantasy given the kingdom's current state.

Based on the popular manga of the same name by Mizuho Kusanagi, Akatsuki no Yona follows Princess Yona on a coming-of-age adventure as she faces the harsh realities of her kingdom. With only a mysterious legend to guide her, Yona must discover a way to restore Kouka to its former glory while being pursued relentlessly by the forces of the new King of Kouka.

Akatsuki no Yona is a Reverse Harem anime that features love, betrayal, and revenge. Three common points that everyone can surely relate to. Right of the bat, the plot is REALLY emphasized so the viewers can pretty much have a number of predictions on what's going to happen next.  It gives you the proper grasp of the anime and surprisingly enough it isn't boring to watch. I could compare it to a vacation wherein you would much enjoy the travel rather than the destination because the destination is already given but the undefined moments of how would you get there is still not defined which is left for you, the traveler or in this case the viewer, to discover. In my opinion, it's one of the few reverse harems out there that actually has a strong foundation in terms of their plot and not just flash those handsome male characters here and there which is actually *ahem*

Also, I'm giving this eight stars cause I'm not pretty much not pleased with the ending and I think it could be better. But as I have said it's the journey not the destination.

I really like this anime. It has many good qualities, like romance, action, perseverance, and supernatural. My only issue is that Yona at the beginning is very annoying. She's going through a lot at the time, but still. I would definitely read the manga after you've watched the short anime series.

Hey all! You guys seem like wizards on here with how well you can find obscure anime. Here’s a tough one though.
A few years ago, I remember watching a anime set sometime in the future. I don’t remember much and what I do remember is a bit hazy so take that with a grain of salt.
I remember it was about a normal dud that finds an escaped girl with green hair. I think she might’ve been a Martian or something... but she was definitely not normal. I can’t remember much else besides a scene where they get almost intimate and that she lives in his closet... maybe. Again it’s super hazy. Also for some reason “melon bread” keeps jumping out at me.
to whittle down the selection, it wasn’t Code Geass or Elfen Lied.

I don’t really expect anyone to know and I’m definitely not much help with the details but any leads would be super useful. Thanks!

Hellloooo! (I hope I'm putting this post in the right category!)
Tonight, I will start watching My Hero Academia.
I thought it would be fun if anybody else is still in the beginning of the series, that we have some place to talk about it while we are watching it? (I never used a forum before maybe thats more of a chat/discord kind of topic idk)
Anyways, it would be fun to talk about our impressions with someone who is also experiencing MHA for the first time!

Love it or hate it, it seems that this genre is her to stay, Isekai.
Hopefully I am able to do a panel for a local anime festival, Otafest.

The panel that I want to do is Isekai, but there is so much that I don't know what to put on, so I am asking anyone to help me.

I know a bit about isekai, and I have some information for my panel, on my MSOffice powerpoint, but I still would like to know more. Thanks in advance.

So I've been working on a chatbot based off of Nezuko from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. I think she's a fascinating character, and I want to give fans of the anime and manga the chance to talk to her since she doesn't talk too much on her own. Currently, I'm in the training phase so I've been programming her with questions users may or may not ask her. The only problem is I'm only one guy and I'm out of ideas of things to talk to her about, so I'm looking for community input. Keep in mind, she won't just be pre-programmed. She's going to be a mix of programmed responses and machine/deep learning based AI so she will, in essence, have a mind of her own.
If you had the opportunity to talk to Nezuko, what would you say to her or ask her? It could be either questions or topics you'd want to discuss with her.
      Thanks!
