Entry nº12 2018 Summer

Good day.

I just re read my older entries, that sounds so much not like me in this moment... In the sense of humour I mean. Saying "deer" instead of "dear", hoho, how funny of me to use that in an entry about Christmas.
Getting to the point. This is just a short summary of what I've done so far this summer, nothing else's new sine the last entry.

I have:

-Taken a six hour long trip with a crying 2 year old little girl, a three month old puppy fond of my left sock, a complaining uncle, a yelling aunt, and a singing elder cousin. (And I still have to go on another two of those)
-Started working on my cosplay for this year (top secret)
-Got better at Osu!
-Purchased a PS4 and the whole Kingdom Hearts saga
-Done some Jiu Jitsu warmups every few days to keep in shape
-Assisted to a funeral
-Been at the beach
-I've been writing this list for 30' now and I'm out of things to say.

Itte kimasu.

You're making the most of your summer I see! How is the Jiu Jitsu going? Which discipline do you practice? It sounds like fun, however I don't have anything remotely close to a dojo where I live, which is what I would probably be doing if we had one. Instead I do kickboxing, which to me is more or less a dance.

I also purchased a PS4 this summer, however no KH for me. I might, in the future, but there are games I would rather be playing.

What's the plan after the season is over? Will you be attending Uni? Working?

Hoho, concerning Jiu Jitsu, it's a martial art which consists of submission strictly, no kicks or punches. I was learning it back in Turkey, but since I'm moving around, I have to keep in shape by myself. To do that, I just do the warm up exercises, since I need an objective to perform the full techniques.

After summer, I still have a year of school to complete, and then by next year I will indeed be doing something in a university, eventually.

So I am pretty much having a blast, even when I forgot to mention that I also visited twice an amusement park, went roller skating, and played a tabletop RPG based on Pokémon with my little cousins.

You have been busy :)  The cosplay may be top secret, but I'm dieing to know if it is "retro/old school anime", "newer anime", or "video game/sci-fi/comic book" related.

Since you have joined the ranks of the PS4 owners, I must say, congratulations!  I love my PS4.  I have KH too but have yet to play it all the way through.  If you want any game recommendations, let me know!  I'm going to go ahead and say if you were ever a Harvest Moon fan to check out Stardew Valley.  ;)  But there is plenty on the PS4 to explore.  The past year, with all the Japanese imports coming over I feel almost like it is a second coming of the PS2 era... They aren't making the headlines of the magazines or news-sites by any means, but it is very reminiscent of that era to me.

Well, keep making the most of your summer.  And that tabletop Pokémon RPG with your little cousins sounds awesome!  You are definitely a cool cousin (mine were not cool lol).

Indeed the anime is both video game and anime related, that's all I'll say.

I will definitely check Harvest Moon and Stardew Valley, if you're recommending them.

I hope you have a good rest of the summer as well.
