The Corona-Crap

Just had a meeting at work last Thursday mainly on the updates of the Corona Virus and at that specific time only the schools had the potential to be affected. However, steadily it's been getting worse and worse and the U.S. Government is now creating more restrictions and bans making it extremely difficult for most people to even continue working. Apparently the Governor in my state changed our restrictions and bans 15 times within a few short hours today. So far it hasn't effected my job to where I won't be able to work but most of those around me are now without work because everything is closing down. Supposedly there aren't any plans with my job shutting down but honestly, who knows anymore?? Could be tonight, could be tomorrow or it could be next week. So far though we aren't shut down which is a good thing but like I said, now we are all waiting for the when.

Right now , all schools in Maryland are shut down until March 27 . Been shut down for 2 weeks , its not so bad here , but still no one goes out shopping or anything , and makes it hard for shop owners and stuff , and same for my dad too , he owns a carry out but rn he doesn't get a lot of people to come anymore

A lot of people are being laid off in Canada too, mostly in the provinces which have are in a state of emergency.

The government though is trying to assist people and student loan payments are on hold for 6 months.

Hopefully things get better. But, I feel they will get worse before things improve. Best people can do is help each other.

Good luck with everything :(

Schools in my state are closed until further notice, possibly until September is what they are looking at.

I never thought it was going to be over in just a few months , not with the number of "community transmission" cases and the lack of effective testing early on.  I was figuring closer to a year, though maybe with something of a lull during the warmer months.  Usually it seems they get a vaccine for this year's variant of the flu in time for next year's flu season.  That's kind of what I've been expecting for this one, but even that assumes it is a "well-behaved" virus that doesn't come up with any sneaky tricks.  Especially for the high-risk groups this isn't going to really be over until they get a working vaccine produced and distributed.
