  1. I'm an amateur Java programmer. I make a lot of things, not really released anything spectacular, but I have made some things.d A lot of them are on hiatus, mostly because of school. Soon I'll be learning to make video games in school so I will definitely post somewhere on here when I make a demo of one. One thing that I am really proud of is a scripting language that I made FOR video games. It's a framework and a language that loads a file by '*.as" and there are "nodes" that start certain sections of script. This script is strictly for loading dialog into like rpg/adventure games. Any game that has lots of dialog. Every "dialog piece", or an individual piece of dialog that belongs to certain object, character, or event, has a start and end node, to specify the start and end of that piece. This separates different parts of a file that can contain like dialogs. So you can have on file for events, or one file for NPC's. Then within these nodes, you can place dialog. Raw dialog. You can then manipulate said dialog so that it is read in certain order or so that if certain things happen, one line is read instead of another. You can also do input so that the player gives a certain input and the framework processes that input according to the script using conditionals within that script, so that you can say, "if x input is y, then print this dialog". It's not finished and I have plans for doing stuff like labeling each dialog piece to distinguish between different parts or taking the "jumpto" command, which allows you to jump from file to file to really have a truly rpg dialog where different objects/characters/events print their dialog in certain order, and edit it so that you can jump from one piece to another and have "checkpoints" so that you can jump to a certain line within a file, etc. Right now I'm working on a discord bot with my friend, who is a professional Java programmer (junior right now, but he has a degree). I also gotta focus on school, too. If anybody here is an amateur programmer or is interesting in programming, wants to see the source code, here is it.
  2. After a bit of digging, I realized how terrible SAO is. It's literally nothing but fan service. You got the intense fighting scenes that have no reason of being in there at all, you got a love story that pops in out of nowhere, and then you got some weird incest thing going on halfway through. Not only that, but the characters literally remain the same throughout the entire series. There are lots of other things that make it terrible, but what makes it good is the execution of these qualities. I'm not gonna talk about what makes SAO good or bad, i'm gonna tell you what I think SAO would be like if it was actually good. I think it was bad to make Kirito a beater. They should have made a character that was really good that was helping Kirito play the game for the first time and then after the whole ordeal with beaters, that person comes out as a beater. Then after Kirito abandons that guy in fear of being treated like garbage by the other players, he tries to figure out how to play the game. Then, while training, Kirito almost dies and then that is when Asuna appears to save to save him. Oh, also, make Asuna a tsundere. That would have been really fitting too, in my opinion. Then over time, turns out that Asuna is really good at the game, and then they create the guild. Throughout this whole entire time, Kirito is still just a baby in this game, and he's even scared to do anything, especially those special moves that they all seem to possess. Then halfway through, kill off Asuna. And as she is dying, have her say, "I love you" to Kirito, cause I mean, that whole romance thing was overdone, but kind of a good idea. So then at this point, Kirito becomes a super badass and tries to avenge Asuna. This is all that I could think of at this moment. If you can think of anything else that could be added to this, then please say so. I wanna see how much this series could really be changed to be made into something amazing.
  3. So last night, I had a dream that my cousin, a fellow otaku, was like "I'm going to Japan" and I'm like "can I go with you?? I'll even eat the food there! I really wanna go!!" And I mentioned the food cause I'm kinda picky with my food. Anyways, so he's like "sure!" So we go there, and we have this guy with us that's showing us around and I'm like "this is really cool" so we stop to eat and we order some weird octopus soup or something like that and I instantly started to regret saying that I'll eat the food. Then later, I had bought something from a merchant and afterwards I was trying to be polite and say "Arigatogozaimasu" and my tour guide was like "don't say that, you'll get slapped!" And I'm like "WHAT???" And I was so confused cause like I was saying thank you and like why would I get slapped??? Then I woke up!
  4. Yeah lol I was joking about the pay part, it's a no duh thing. But yeah I'll definitely help out!
  5. LOL I've only been on here for a few days, and I'm already being chosen as a tester?? Lol I guess! When does it start and how much am I being paid?
  6. I think Akame ga Kill was very predictable, although it was very good. I knew what would happen at the end since like the first quarter of the series. Besides that, I enjoyed it a lot. I think it's a series to watch in one shot, rather than a chunk at once, then another chunk later on. You'll lose interest very quickly if you do that.
  7. Hajimemashite! Welcome to the AF train Alex-san! :D I do dope you're all comfy. :p You can meet and introduce yourself to everyone on the introductions section btw. :D P.S. I do hope you'll find your little tiger ;):D

  8. I only started watching anime regularly since like April, after I finished Naruto Shippuden (golden trophy anime tbh). And after compiling all the anime I have watched, along with what I have tried to watch, there is about 25+ on my list. Pretty good for only being an otaku for only like 5 months. I once watched like 3 series in a whole week.
  9. I love Aisaka Taiga-chan (to death ) and I was kinda disappointed that her greeting picture wasn't a total tsundere image of her. Is there an arsenal of images that I can use to change her greeting image? I checked to see if there was a way to change but it doesn't appear to exist. I was wondering if there was a way for the image to be changed, cause let's be honest, Taiga-chan isn't your waifu if you don't like tsunderes. She's gotta have a tsundere image. Or maybe have it change depending on what greeting message you set for her (e.g.: "Oh, you're back. I-I-It's not like I missed you or anything!" will set her image to one of her giving a cold look crossing her arms. I dunno, it's just what I was really looking forward to, and I'm sure many people were, too.
  10. Where can I find my own Taiga-chan?

  11. Oh good, I'm glad I found this thread. I'm new on here and the main reason I can on here was to share a few manga ideas that I had, in search of artists to help me with creating the manga. These ideas are for seinen demographics than anything. Sure, shonen mangas are really awesome, like Naruto, My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute, My Hero Academia, SAO (love-hate within this community, I know), One Piece, etc, I really like Seinen series like Death Note, Death Parade (not a manga, I know), Steins;Gate (not a manga either, I know), Mysterious Girlfriend X, Tokyo Goul, Elfen Lied, Parasyte, etc. I want to specialize in Seinen stories, and I think I have it in me to do so. I will include a link for anybody to read the premises that I have written for three seinen stories that I have. They are untitled right now, but eventually, if any of them pick up, I will have titles for them. If you would like some more info for any of these synopses, then don't hesitate to ask. I would prefer these questions to be asked in this thread to prevent repetition of questions. If you have any suggestions for any of these, then don't hesitate to drop one. Well, here are the synopses: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1CliWyQuKJxPsE3MkElN885nLJRWq8v4yHpeo15Ysmb8/edit?usp=sharing Oh, btw, I should mention that all of these stories are allegories!
