Greetings splendiforous and fantastical stranger!

I apologize in advance for any typos or unfortunate Freudian slips. I am writing this on my iPhone and I am actually terrible at mobile typing. Read on if you're brave enough to overcome my flaws and accept me as a human being.

You can call me Cy~ (or Cy Strange Squiggly Line you prefer the strictly alphanumeric (I'm not overly fond of it myself)). The squiggly is actually part of my name, but you are welcome to exclude it if it offends. Regardless, I'm happy to meet you and I hope you'll say hello to me! I like making friends online, and I consider myself generally quite friendly. Read on if you consider this vague self-endorsement to be somewhat reassuring.

I have a terrible tendency to be overly lengthy when posting on forums, but I will keep this introduction (and probably most of what I write) short and sweet. Let me see... What are some good introductory things...

I am a casual fan of anime, older American animation, and a lot of other intersecting interests. I was actually only recently introduced to anime (last two and a half years) by my spouse who insisted that I be indoctrinated and dragged into this strange cult (open to new experiences)! It stuck, and we ended up watching thousands of episodes over the course of the next few years.

I found my way to this small paradise after wandering the vast extents of the Internet, hoping desperately to find an anime forum to call home. Just when I had given up all hope, my wife (who sits right next to me, basically) was like, "Oh hey, while you've been dying of thirst in the no-anime-forum wilderness, I found this cute place and have been busy posting away!" After a moment of self-reflection, I joined! Read on if you approve of my snark.

Other than anime, I am interested in far too many things to share here. I am a writer, currently working on at least one and a half projects. I am a programmer that specializes in the abstract art of internet plumbing (web development). I am an auto enthusiast with a love of cute, fast cars with terrible terrible terrible reputations. I am also an unapologetic spreadsheet wonk that spends far too much time doing questionable things in excel when I am left unsupervised. Read on if you're bored to tears and ready to accuse me of violating my promise to write and keep things short.

Anyways, I really like this site. I am a harsh judge of forums, and I have ran or participated in the staff of at least a half dozen of them at this point. I even wrote my own forum software out of frustration with what was available at the time. Then, I retired early from all things community based, and I swore to time eternal that I would never ever ever join another forum again…

Well, so much for that! Another random thing that didn't quite turn out as promised! Thus, here I am! And, there's nothing left to read! I promise!

(For the curious, my spouse is Zoop on this site, and I love her very much. We're one of those disgusting couples that almost always seems to get along and have very few disagreements. I have relationship advice for those craving their own significant other - don't listen to any of my advice, I have no idea what I'm doing or what I did, and I'm probably the most continuously flummoxed girl on the internet. Dx)

I really hope AF lives up to your expectations, this is by far the friendliest and, for lack of a better word, cleanest Internet community I've stumbled upon

I read through the community guidelines, rules, and the welcome PM that I received. In addition, I have been lurking far and wide, today. From all of this data, I think that I am very happy with how this place looks. I agree that it just seems clean and friendly, which are actually two traits that I struggled to find among other sites.

Teru, my friend, you should never feel bad for such things. Being succinct is like a super power. I mean, just think about it. What if you had only 5 seconds to say the words that would save the world. With my many muttering monologues, I'd be doomed to miss that chance. While you wouldn't have that problem. Instead, you would say the words you need to say and the world would be saved. You would go on to reign as benevolent overlord, and I'd probably figure out something to say about three years later.
