Have watched both seasons & am looking forward to season 3. If you enjoy the court/palace politics aspect I recommend Raven of the Inner Palace, Yatagarasu: The Raven Does Not Choose Its Master, & the Mononoke movie trilogy (2 currently available on Netflix, the 3rd just opened in Japan, will probably be on Netflix later this year).

Nah, MHA is much more family friendly. Closest thing to The Boys I can think of is Supercrooks. Other similar titles: Tiger & Bunny, To Be Hero X, One Punch Man.

I’m so looking forward to Los Angeles Anime Expo (LA AX) { #AX2026 } next month in & around the L.A. Convention Center in DTLA. As usual, it’s on the 4th of July weekend. I’ve attended many times, and there’s always new things to see and do. I’d be interested to hear about: what people enjoy most; new things to check out; tips about getting there, parking, lines, and other logistics; etc.. For my part, I enjoy seeing the creative cosplay, shopping for anime related items, discovering new anime & manga, and enjoying Japanese Pop culture in general.

I would like to offer something, but I think it would help if you provide some context. E.g., describe the world you’re building. And maybe also which genre of anime do you want to try. Having characters with powers still leaves lots of opportunities for different genres, e.g., Action, Horror, Suspense, or even Romance or Sports.

My favorite anime is madoka magica. Do not get fooled by the cute cover. it looks cute but it is not its looks like a magical girl anime but its true genres are Psychological Thriller, Dark Fantasy, and Cosmic Horror

I would 100% recommend violet evergarden . this anime is one of the best anime out there . Its not just an anime , It follows a girl who was raised to be a weapon in war as she becomes a ghostwriter, slowly learning what the words "I love you" actually mean through the letters she writes for others. She learns what love truly means .

Hey dudes and dudettes, How are things in Anime World? I finished watching four seasons of The Boys. a very dark, bloody satire of superheroes. The "heroes" are products who perform for the cameras and they push merchandise and have handlers and oversight. In reality, they are sociopathic killers. I only saw one season of Hero Academia and, admittedly, I wasn't that impressed, but I might give it a chance. Anyway, the Heroes also have merchandise, oversight and merch, etc. So the question is is the Boys and Hero pretty much the same? Is hero Boys Lite? Any thoughts? Good luck in your new bed. Hey dudes and dudettes, How are things in Anime World I putz around Instagram a bit and I often come across clips of cons and someone interviewing the congoers for various hot takes and surveys. One topic that comes to mind is "Worst Anime Dad". The two most popular answers are Goku and Tucker from Alchemist. I would like to add the dad from Evangelion. Look up the word "douchebag" and it says "see him". He abandoned Shinji as a kid and expects him to fly the EVA-1, not caring if he dies in battle (although, granted, Shinji is a whiny little bitch who needs a good slap once in awhile). Thoughts?
