new years, valentine's day, halloween, thanksgiving and christmas! valentine's i treat more like friend's day, since everyone deserves love ❤(ӦvӦ。) and im not particularly religous, so i treat christmas as the gift giving day my favorite is definitely halloween! i love dressing up and all the different costume ideas. i get pretty inspired around that time bc i love mythical creatures!!3 points

Not scared at all. I've got a scythe anyway soooo no need to be scared. I'll turn the person to french fries first Fat and chunky perhaps with a squiggly shape. Thin and smooth are so overrated anyways3 points

That pretty much sums up my feelings towards most American mainstream audiences of anime. Whenever I see them talk about anime in talk shows and YouTube videos, you would only see them talk about some of the most overrated ones. Singapore's anime convention has a similar problem, in that only popular anime like SAO are showcased. I mean, I don't want to act like some kind of pretentious know-it-all, but c'mon. Good anime don't just consist of Dragon Ball, One Piece, and Attack on Titan.3 points

Masterfully well executed! I felt my heart flutter at the eloquence! Hahaha, it's self serving more than anything, tbh. I have moments of extreme forgetfulness when I fail to remember all of the stuff I wrote in that post, so I like having it (or some variety of it) on the forums that I frequent, as a healthy reminder to contain my more baser urges.3 points

I love deep movies, tbh, and I have no trouble understanding them. I mean, how would I have trouble understanding them? I have actually taken formal training in the interpretation of Greek and Roman literature for crying out loud! I'm basically a story wonk. There's no such thing as a story that I have trouble understanding. With that said, some stories that people think are "deep" are actually not very deep at all. Other things that people consider "simple" are actually fairly complicated. It really depends on what the exact story of a movie is. I'd lie, cheat, steal, bribe, and kill. However, more than likely, if Zoop is the prime suspect in a murder case, then she's probably guilty. :? I'd still do all of the above. Job security for the prosecutors.3 points

Hi @Moe, Thanks for your feedback on the Waifu/Husbando feature. In its current form it would be very hacky to implement a time delay / different phrases for the character based on the member's time. A revamp of that feature is planned long-term, as there are so many characters in that dropdown list now I am almost certain it's a little daunting. I'm hoping to implement some other improvements to make it easier to use (images instead of the dropdown list) and perhaps the possibility of being able to upload your own character/image as well as your own phrases. Apologies for the delay - I did see the notification but have a large backlog. Can you please send me a private message (Conversation) with the image you would like to add and I will get onto it as soon as I can.3 points

Hello, my name is Roxanne. I am excited to discuss my favorite anime obsessions with other peeps who are also obsessed. I'm personally a big fan of Fairy Tail, Attack on Titan, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Trigun, and Berserk. I am currently looking into any new anime suggestions! Assuming were only talking about length, and not necessarily against other people, I've completed several long races in GT games like the 24 hours of le mans. Not in one sitting mind, but more than 6 hours at a time.2 points

The parents of my bf at the time (now ex bf) got me a cake. Otherwise I would have done nothing. I'm not really the sort to do anything for my birthday. I can take it or leave it lol2 points

The news of the hospital mix-up acts as a bolt of lightning that shocks me out of whatever diabolical delusion has been thrust upon me by the foul illusionist that I have been locked into combat against. Shaking off his attempt to bind and distract me from the battle at hand with his vile illusions, my sword swings out in a flash - meeting the flesh of the damnable demon's unprotected neck, severing head from neck. With their accursed master now slain, the forces of darkness - only moments before locked into a brutal stalemate with the armies of humanity - fall back, their discipline and morale shattered as they are swiftly overtaken and pushed back into the infinite, swirling abyss of darkness from whence they came. Now hailed as a hero, I return home to my wife and live comfortably for the rest of my life.2 points

That's kind of a crummy thing to say to someone who put a decent bit of thought into writing this, don't you think? I might be odd, but I prefer to encourage activity on the forum, rather than make casual comments without a great deal of thought behind them that might discourage people from being comfortable with being active here. I mean this in a very general sense, not just with regards to your comment on this thread. With that said, I feel that I might as well clarify that this thread was written in roughly a half hour, and is more or less only the latest version of a thread that Cy~ has previously crafted on other forums in the past. As for having too much time on her hands, she has full time employment, and is in the process of writing a visual novel so... no, she really doesn't have too much time on her hands.2 points

Holy crap. How do I choose? Magic rainbow tycoon sounds more fun! I get along with my immediate family (parents and older brother) really well! I've just always had a really good relationship with them growing up. I've come to learn that my parents style of parenting isn't very common I don't bother much with my extended family. I don't know anyone on my biological fathers side, everyone on my mum's side are greedy vultures. I love it when my step-dad's family comes around, but it's not that often because we all live scattered about the province and such2 points

Allow me to demonstrate *clears throat* HI THERE WE'RE FRIENDS NOW LET'S CHAT For real though, I don't think I have a set routine for how I start a conversation. For online, sometimes (quite often) it will be very similar along the lines of what I demonstrated, or I'll notice something that I want to talk more in depth with someone one on one and I'll give them a shout. In real life, it's easier for me to jump into an already existing conversation rather than starting a new one. I'd probably have a complete an utter break down. I like to think I'd be able to handle it, but I know myself.2 points

pfft thats a good choice because i never go anywhere and not really! the closest ive gotten to 'gossip' has just been venting to one of my friends about someone who didnt treat me so well2 points

N-O-P-E. Wait. Does wiggle wiggle count? I listen it even if somebody's around though not much of a guilty pleasure2 points

Well nothing in particular, but people kind of annoy me when they have never seen anime in their life and assume it is just meant for small kids or for brainwashing and hate on it without even attempting to ever watch it. My friends were that way for a while until I made them watch an episode of an anime with me, then they became the biggest anime nerds lol.2 points

Hahahahahah! I swear that you ask the best questions. Hmmm... My addictions? I don't have many actually! I'm one of those people that like their independence too much to become reliant on anything. With that said, I'm totally addicted to @zoop. Not just because we're married. Almost from the moment we met, we have been talking almost constantly, lol. According to those that know us irl, we resemble a stereotypical elderly couple. Sweet and probably far too familiar with each other.2 points

Those that involve Math. I will never accept Math. Dunno. Never thought about conquering the world. It seems really tedious and full of effort, something that I don't appreciate. lol2 points

Actually, now that @brycec brought it up, what kind of fries would you be? The fat chunky kind with the squiggly shape or the thin and smooth McDonald's kind?2 points

How scared would you be if somebody decided to take you and turn you into french fries?2 points

I could and in most instances already have made cases for why this is not true, so I couldn't agree more I wanted to. I would much rather watch an anime about someone coming of age and beginning to understand the world they'll live in for most of their lives that's 50 or less episodes, then watch a battle get hyped for the length of Anohana only for it to take even longer. That trope is tired and old, and I'm really over it.2 points

I've gotten pretty sick of the lack of variety of voices in Japanese anime voice acting. I know I've brought it up before, and it is kind of hard to call it a trope, but seriously, what else would you consider the same 12 voices for 30 years? Give me more characters with voices like Natsu and Maka, although maybe less roles like their's because those have gotten pretty tired as well, and I'll be elated. I can only hear the same line spouted by the same voice despite it being a different actor so many times, and throwing in lingo that's only relevant to that world doesn't help either. I can watch most anime, especially in the Shounen genre's first two or three episodes and know exactly what's going on without subs because it's the same tired lines. Japan needs to get to the point where they move on enough from these sorts of things enough that they can make fun of them, like they do with some anime making fun of old Japanese Samurai films.2 points

Ehehe, I've never had anyone ask me something like that before. Permission granted! Quite frankly, if it's to make the Internet a better place, then I am all for it. I don't see why not! For the record, I think that, in casual conversation, counterargument is actually one of the best compromises between the time spent building your argument and the quality of the result (communication). Speaking for myself, I tend to rely on counterarguing quite a bit in the online sphere. However, at my job (government accounting), I stick solely to refutation and refuting the central point. It's a more formal setting, so I have a lot more to lose by being sloppy with an argument. And, you're right, dropping below "Counterargument" is actually really risky if you value your relationship with the person that you are arguing with. It's far too easy to offend, unintentionally, when you try to take shortcuts in a tense discussion. Especially if you're talking with a diverse group of people with many different viewpoints and experiences, it's better to put more effort into an argument. It may turn out that you learn something about a different culture, or pick up a new viewpoint. I know I have, sometimes. Heya! Me too! Though, I confess that I don't have as much energy for it, these days, due to getting more than my fill from my workplace, hahaha. :'(2 points

This is wonderful! Would I have your permission to spread this around (to other forums) when I see people making bottom of the pyramid responses? (which happens often) Are we allowed to discuss where we think we fall on this scale? I definitely do think when I argue I fall more into the counterargument category. I do sometimes get to refutation. I've very very very infrequently refuted the central point. I can say with some experience that higher levels of arguing has a much greater effect to achieving the point you're trying to make and helping people see your point of view. Going lower and lower only leads to more strife. I love debating btw. I know we're not allowed to talk religion or politics on the public forums but if it's cool with the mods I invite anyone who wants to debate to PM me. I'm very comfortable with myself and my views (and I'm flexible if you prove your point!) so I'm happy to do so any time.2 points

Log Horizon. It started off amazing - it probably would've surpassed my love for .hack. But then season 2 came along and crushed any will I had to watch it. I don't have as much time as I'd like to spend on my hobbies these days so when I do start committing myself to something only for it to go south is very disheartening and part of the reason I don't explore too many new series or play too many new games.2 points

Wow, so many thoughts on Attack on Titan Season 2. I've personally read the manga all the way through to what is currently released on the story. But as for how they portrayed the plot, it was directly based off the manga. I was pleased. They personally made a few changes to add foreshadowing, but I overall loved the buildup. In the manga, you don't see the scene where Hange explains that Reiner and Bertholdt were involved with Annie. You also didn't see Mikasa's flashback to when she saved Eren from those bullies. I love those little add-ins that make the story that much more interesting. I am still unsure what the coordinate does and how it is used. You see that Eren is able to control all other titans. And Reiner said he's the worst one to have that power. Why do you think he thinks that? Is it because Eren hates the Titans? I absolutely loved the scene between Mikasa and Eren in the last episode, Scream. I wished they would've kissed, but that still has a long wait to happen in the manga. What did you guys think about Ymir's choice of going with Reiner? What do you guys think about Eren having two titan powers? How do you think he plans to use them? Did you guys have any wonders why Levi wasn't there to fight and what would've happened if he was there to help? Did you agree with Commander Erwin's plan of action? Thanks!2 points
