  1. Not be rude but it is a little odd to make your first post about singles on the forum. While the topic does come up of course, it makes it seem like you only joined for the sake of trying to get into a relationship with someone.

  6. I'm not perfect but then who is? I've been through a lot of things my whole life and here to maybe help some people out if they ever need help with anything. Hardships or not I'm a different person that I used to be growing up and became a much stronger person now. I got some advice and wisdom to share so feel free to ask me anything or about myself and again I don't no everything since no one perfect.. Please keep in mind If its too personal of a question that make me uneasy I wont answer so no offense.. But most likely answer to anything. So ask away~

  7. Hi everyone, First of all my apologies for the delay. What was meant to take 3 days of downtime turned out to be over a week of downtime. The migration of forum content had actually gone well, however there were some unexpected technical issues that arose when enabling certain features (specifically relating to redirects and the SSL image proxy) that required liaising with the developers of this platform. Thankfully those issues have now been resolved. I am finishing off the final stages: Member profile covers Member profile backgrounds Anime pages Anime community reviews I expect to finish these in the coming days and hopefully by the weekend we can start on some content of the new anime season. In the meantime please feel free to familiarise yourself with the new platform and features. Any issues feel free to post them in the usual Feedback area. I will be doing some new guides on how to use this platform in the coming days as of course the interface is radically different from our previous platform. Thanks for your patience!

  10. I'm a new guy. I actually joined right before this site switched to a new platform, so I figured it best to wait a bit before posting. I desperately needed a new Anime forum. I was literally just on one of the other forums I'm a member of (which is totally unrelated to anything fanfare), and a dude said to me in regards to Anime: "Avatar the Last Airbender is my favorite Chinese Anime." So yeah... Anyway, I'm a HUGE Attack on Titan fan, and beyond that I don't feel it necessary to list out everything else cause there's so many. Hope to get to know all of you and also make some new friends. Now if you'll excuse me I have some house cleaning to attend to...

  13. Well, imagination is something that is unique to everyone. When asked about what imagination is, and what my opinion is on it, I can safety say that imagination is both the most beautiful thing, and also the most deadly. Firstly, lets look at the beauty behind imagination: Being able to use your imagination is one of the most unique and wonderful things, since everyone has their own ideas and creations flowing through their heads at any given time. While the imagination can vary, in so many ways, this means that it is completely and utterly unique to everyone, which means that everyone has their own ideas to share within the world. While one person may imagine a beautiful forest scape, others will imagine ongoing wars and battle for the sake of fighting and being heroes. Each of these are stories that we all make on a day to day basis in our heads in order to disconnect from reality. However, imagination can also become rather....well, deadly: Thing is, life is always full of struggles, and that can sometimes translate into our imaginations. now, while that can vary in many different ways, in some people this can go wildly out of control. While some will find it hard to sleep out of sheer fear or anxiety about oncoming events, others may find incredibly violent ways to deal with them through the use of imagination. While this is not a bad thing (Everyone thinks of doing something bad in their life, its just a natural thing.) the problem comes from those who cant disconnect fantasy from reality, and then act on their imagined anger. While i would be happy to one day go into the psychology behind it all and the detail behind the imagination, i would much rather leave that for another day, since i am really tired and i would rather be super active to tackle that subject. ^w^ But yeah, thank you so much for the question ragkt! ^w^

  16. Welp, they're all amazing! I can't write nice stories...*pouts* But can I share my writing here too? If so, then here's a short story I tried to write. Voice It's late in the afternoon now. The leaves are all turning brown. Fall is near. I smile as I see my Voice, my little sister, walk up to me and ask me what I'm doing. Well, she doesn't technically ASK what I'm doing, but she's signing in sign language to ask me the question. She can't speak. She hasn't been able to speak for a few years now. After that incident... I shudder as I remember what happened. Voice still stares at me with a puzzled look on her face. She tilts her head to the left and asks me what happened. I just shake my head and hug her tightly. No, I can't let go of her. Not this time. I promised him that I would keep her safe. I promised him, my true love... I shake my head again. I can't think about him now! Voice is still in my arms, so she doesn't notice the tears slowly make their way down. I quickly wipe them away. Voice jerks her head back and looks straight at me. She asks me the same question again. Why did they name her voice if she couldn't speak? I say nothing and hug her tightly. Once she's inside my arms I begin to sing. My favorite lullaby. The one he first sang to me when we met... "If only, if only, the woodpecker signs, The bark of the tree was as soft as the skies. While the wolf waits below, hungry and lonely, Crying to the mo-o-o-on. If only, if only" She looks up and smiles. I know that she loves that song. I stand up and tell her that I'll be making dinner now. She nods her head, and as I start to head outside, she grabs my arm...And actually sings the song. With her voice, all clear and beautiful. I stare at her in shock. She sings the lullaby over and over again and runs into my arms. My eyes become wide with shock and tears begin to roll down my eyes...

  18. My advice for right now is the same advice I live by; it just happens when it happens ^^ Simply put, your still in school. you still have allot more to be doing then worrying about relationships for now. if anything, what you need to do first is learn to be social, because people are more attracted to those who show their true colours, and its more likely for you and your significant other to fall for one-another when you both are honest and truthful to one another. Regardless, what I would suggest is to first find out about yourself before you find out about others. heck, it takes some people 20 odd years to find out about themselves, let alone somebody else! You should start by listing down your own strengths and weaknesses. But whatever you do, don't put yourself down. the simple fact that you want to go out and get into actual lasting relationships with others already puts you a step ahead of those who just don't care about others. Then, when you have that list, work on what your weaknesses are, and try to implement your strengths into them. For example, if you are socially awkward, but are a fan of card games, you could go join a local club. that way, you meet people with an equal mind-set to you ^^ more or less, the point is to be yourself. After all, you cant force a relationship, you can only open the doorway into one. just because you go into one, doesn't mean you wont go back out the door later. Anyway, I hope this helped in any way possible. like I said, relationships are not my strong point, but I do hope you find somebody that completes you ^^

  21. Here is one I wrote over the weekend. Marbles Once, a boy snuck out of the house in the middle of the night to sit in his yard, encased by moonlight. The boy waited, and at exactly midnight, a figure emerged. Dressed in a cloak with a hood so no person could see the being inside, the figure stood in front of the boy. The boy smiled, and looked up at the figure, expectantly waiting, with his hand held out. Neither one spoke as the figure reached out from the sleeve of his cloak a white hand of bone, clutching four small objects. The figure dropped the objects into the boy's awaiting hand, and then walked away into the gloom. The boy waited until the figure was gone, then looked at the objects in his hand. They were marbles, white as the purest snow. The boy smiled, then went back inside to bed. For the next four days, the child played. He ran around outside, chasing his friends, laughing and giggling, wiping his runny nose with the back of his sleeve the way that all little boys do in the fall. On the night of the fourth day, the boy snuck out to sit in his patch of moonlight and waited, occasionally wiping his nose. The figure emerged, and the boy smiled. The figure with the white hand of bone dropped three objects into the boy's awaiting fingers, then left, all without saying a word. As before, the boy waited until the figure had left to look at the objects in his hand. They were marbles again, a startling shade of silver. The boy smiled, then went back inside to bed. For the next three days, afraid her son might have a small cold, the boy's mother kept him inside. But the boy was happy, playing board games with his brother and sister, watching the television, and sneezing into a hankie his father had given to him. On the night of the third day, the boy snuck out to sit in his patch of moonlight and waited, sneezing into his hankie and wiping his nose. The figure emerged, and the boy smiled. The figure with the white hand of bone dropped two objects into the boy's awaiting fingers, then left, all without saying a word. As he did the two times before, the boy waited until the figure had left to look at the objects in his hand. They were marbles this time too, a dull, dark, gray. The boy smiled, then went back inside to bed. For the next two days, the boy stayed in his room, too sick to play with his brother and sister. But the boy was happy, reading books, playing with his toys, and coughing into the crook of his arm. On the night of the second day, the boy snuck out to sit in his patch of moonlight and waited, coughing, sneezing and wiping his nose. The figure emerged, and the boy smiled. The figure with the white hand of bone dropped one object into the boy's awaiting fingers, then left, all without saying a word. As with the days before, the boy waited until the figure had left to look at the object in his hand. As expected, it was a marble, this one black as pitch. The boy smiled, then went back inside to bed. The next day, the boy stayed in bed, too sick to play. But the boy was happy; taking long naps, snuggling with is teddy bear, and sweating with fever. That night, too sick to sneak out, the boy lay in his bed. From an open window, the boy was encased by a shaft of moonlight, so he waited, sweating, coughing, sneezing, and wiping his nose. At exactly midnight, the figure emerged. The boy looked up at him, and smiled weakly. Struggling, the boy reached out his hand to accept is gift of marbles from the figure. Silently, the figure shook his head; there were no more marbles left to give. The boy dropped his hand, but still smiled weakly at the figure. The figure stooped, and with white hands of bone, gently picked up the frail, sickly boy. The figure left, carrying the boy away into the gloom, all without saying a word.

  26. Base on what I know, most of the people in the society sees anime as something childish or something bad, and they see anime fans as, basically, nerds. So what do you think of how does the society view anime and anime fans? What do you know about the viewpoints of the society?

  29. I hate the books more than the anime, but I would say that the characters lack any depth and/or do not seem to be like actual people, which are things that I could definitely see in both the anime and novel. Another thing that was not so great was the Fairy Dance arc, which, even to me, felt unnecessary and was only added into the first series to extend the length of the anime, as there was no danger or anything that made the Aincrad arc great and Asuna was the cliched damsel in distress. As for SAO II, it was rather boring, with only one good arc and that arc finally allowed Asuna to develop as a character, whereas the previous arcs were boring and the handling of Kirito's sudden PTSD was not very believeable (a point other people have brought up). People will like and hate what they will, so I do not see a point in trying to convince people otherwise.

  31. I also posted this on here in the "Whats Your Username Mean" Thread. Leo was my dog I had that was given to me when I was diagnosed with depression going into 8th grade. He was my therapy dog and at the time I didn't have friends so my mother thought of getting me a dog to help me and also I would then have a friend. He was my best friend and buddy I had and I was blessed to have him for 13 years. He's in heaven now since he was old and old age cought up with him. I'll never forget him, he helped me out so much growing up. So in honor of him I have that as part of my username. Now the "ulf" part is just represents wolves since I love wolves and always have growing up. I hope that answers your questions.

  32. Here is a question: why the name SleepyLeoulf? I mean, i get the sleepy part, but why Leoulf? I mean, to me, it kind of reminds me of Leo (Aka, cats) and wolf (Which represents dogs) but that could just be me looking too far into it *Puffs cheek out*

  34. I'm glad that you picked this up, I really hope that you like it. I already talked about the first episode in it's thread, so I'll skip to episode 2. At first I thought that Natsume would be my favorite character, the air about her kind of reminded me of Asumi from Twin Spica, so seemed like she would be a dandere however it became clear in this episode that not only was that not the case, but she was actually a yandere. In any case there seems to be something more going on with her, I wonder why she would choose to hang out with Eita and the others while declining offers to do so with her friends? So Eita is my favorite for now, since his personality seems to be more alligned with that of a dandere then Natsume is. Other than that all I have to say is I think Ena is best girl, I kind of like her in the first episode too but I wasn't sure why and disregarded that thought. But I know now that it's because she's so genki. And I want to ship Eitana simply because I like them both. =D Also Doraemon.

  35. Thanks for your kind comments and feedback everyone. And again thank you for your patience and support. Profile Covers have now been manually re-added, if you already uploaded a new profile cover image before I got to your profile then I have left it alone. I am now currently manually re-adding the Anime Landing Pages and Community Reviews that were posted. This platform uses less overlays, so it will just take a little while to get used to. So yes indeed for status updates you will be shown the full status updates directly on the member's profile page. Yes the behaviour is different on this platform, and I will be writing about this in the new Getting Started guides. If you have previously viewed a topic and there have been new replies since then, a blue dot should appear next to the title. You can then click on it to take you to the last unread post. You can also click on the timestamp below the last member that replied which will always take you to the last post in the topic. This should be a temporary issue, I have been bulk adding a lot of content and running rebuilds in the background (particularly the anime screenshot galleries) that might be adding a fair amount of load. Is anyone else experiencing this? I have taken measures to add caching to improve performance but do let me know if you continue to experience this.
