  1. Word. I can be pretty cool, but I normally act cold with people unless I really feel that they're truly genuine.

  2. If you have yet to watch this amazing anime short. Do it. It's only 7 minutes long. Would love to hear your thoughts. MAL: Someone's Gaze

  3. Holy chit! This series was ridiculously outside the box and weird and badass all at the same time. I kinda just stumbled onto this when I was looking to buy something on ebay, it was in the related section. What stood out to me was the name. The words serial and experiments caught my attention and from there, I immediately went to youtube to see if it was available, it was. I watched the first four episodes, and although it was a little strange at first and raised so many questions, it had something in it that kept me hooked. Luckily, from episode five forward, the show starts to make more sense and some of the questions start getting answered, and that's when I was like, "yeah, this is awesome". I finished watching the last seven episodes in a row last night and I just want to say, Wow! This series was ahead of it's time for sure. This is a 13 episode series, and only the first two eps are dubbed, it's all subtitles after that, but well worth the reading. I was actually about halfway into the third episode before I even realized that the english was gone. Lolz. I don't even know how to describe this show. Computers, alternate reality, god. That's all I got. If you haven't seen this, I highly recommend it, and if you have seen it, what are your thoughts?

  4. When I’m involved with a show or movie I can’t help that I feel it’s the only time I can feel human. Let me elaborate, I feel that being human everyday isn’t something that people everyday can do on a normal basis anymore. Like being vulnerable, genuine, growth, being you. I laugh, cry, relate, encourage, disagree, hope and so many more emotions everyday. But, I feel I can really let all my feelings out in the open “ vulnerable” and feel more human when I’m not with humans, strange I know

  5. I have heard the name pop up a few times in my searches for new series lately though admittedly I have yet to check it out. Though I'd say this review of it is more then enough motivation to hop on it, and make it a priority for my watch list.

  6. Really great series, one of my favs. Sometimes I like to list it as one of my top 5s, sometimes I don't - I really have a hard time getting a permanent list of favorite anime (or really any list of that kind) together though... It one of the series that have a high rewatch value, as there is a lot to miss on the first or second watch and the show pretty open to interpret. I've seen people interpreting from a religious POV, from different philosophical angles, or as a critque/praise of internet and technology. I can understand when people say that its boring, since not a lot seems to happen, however, I think there definitly is a lot going on in all eps. But not everyone has to like it, and its not a show for everyone which is fine, and different people like/dislike it for different reasons... One thing i like that not many series have is the tone and the mood - SEL gives this feeling of creeping alienation which I haven't had in another anime yet.

  9. In this type of society that is very true; everyone wants to hide their feelings. Conversations become stale and unfeeling, nobody wants to be themselves, it is sad really. I feel the same as you at times, TV can really bring out the best in me. Its a deep feeling that I wish everyone could feel all the time.

  10. True, and more importantly a way to pay for it. If I may take the conversation a slightly different direction. Dose anyone here who plays minecraft into modding the game.

  11. Yeah piracy is pretty much one of those "it depends" topics for me. The overall idea of just getting something without paying for it is kinda dirty and hurts the creators, but as has already been said it can also work as a form of advertising and in the end that usually offsets the lost sales. But one thing of particular note I think is when something is pirated because it is not available by practical means, such as not being released and made available outside of the country it was made in. If that is the case, I say pirate away. It is the creators' fault (and maybe the government's if there is some sort of restriction in place) for not giving it a global release and denying a potentially large number of consumers access.

  12. I adore Tattoos and Piercings. While I am not fond of face tattoos, if others want to have them, no big deal, but I personally wouldn't do it. However, up the neck and behind the ear, I already have. I have am working on two full sleeves, and my calves. The only piercings I have is snake bites, a le bre, ears, and used to have eyebrow, but I took it out. I think body art and modifications is just like art, it can be good, it can be bad---it's all subjective. But I certainly can admire someone for their dedication and passion.

  13. As people grow older, they also become more attached to their "being", they are less likely to change into something better. You, don't have to change on that side.
