  1. I had a lot of pets growing up as a little girl and loved them all so much. Currently my family and I have 3 dog's and 2 outside cats which really are feral cats but.. we feed, give water and take care of them very well. More or less we treat them if they were are own cats but they live outdoors mostly and really just everyone's cats in the neighborhood. Where my parents live there's a lot of cats mostly and few dogs that roam around the neighborhood and a lot of the time we we see a stray we never seen before and my family and I try to help it out best we can if it needs help. I can proudly say my family and I are TRUE animal lovers and we love to do our best and help all animals out if we ever seen one in need. We don't have a lot of money but we still do it even though we don't have a lot of money since well we care and love animals. If that's bad then I'm apologize but it's just what my family and I do and who we are as people. I currently have a cat which I like to keep his name private and he's wow... he's sure is something and he LOVES me so much pretty much addicted to me. He's my therapy cat and helps me out so much and I'm so grateful as well glad he choose me at the animal shelter my sister and I adopted our cats from. My sister has her cat as well her name is also private. She's a Siamese tabby mix and she's super beautiful with her light blue eyes and the coloration of her fur is very and pretty as well. My cat is just a tubby ( what I call him since he's sorta chubby ) brown tabby. He's very loving and loves to get close to me much as possible and cuddle with me a lot then.. also is VERY curious and gets int trouble. Here's a picture of my little buddy below as for my sister's cat I might show one of her sometime down the line as well other past animals who were very dear to me and helped me in my life. God bless them and rest in peace~ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

  5. Dogs have always been a big part of my life, especially growing up. Back on the farm it wasn't unusual to have 4 of them at a time. While they were all family dogs, each one seemed to bond with a particular "hooman" in the family. Some were rescue dogs, but a lot of them were just strays that no one claimed. Currently I only have the one yellow lab. She just turned 12 recently and unfortunately has started having health problems. Primarily a lack of mobility.

  7. @Seshi I had that problem too. I learned the materials far faster than the rest of the class for the most part. I loved and still love learning, so my brain sponges up knowledge like mad. Which is great at first until nothing challenges you and you sit there thinking "Yeah this is easy and I know it already, can we move on to something new and interesting?"

  15. Things I love to collect are: ( 1. ) Asain related ( mostly Japanese ) items like figurines and stuff in that nature a lot. ( I also have 4 practice swords but only one out in display at this time and one fancy asian looking knife as well ) ( 2. ) Wolves and werewolf related items. ( 3. ) Movies and my DVD case collection of them that holds them. ( 4. ) Journals, pens anything stationary really since I love to journal A LOT. ( helps me therapeutically ) ( 5. ) Books since I love to read. ----------------------------- That's pretty much all I collect however something about me is I don't have a whole ton of what I collect and only keep what really means something to me or useful I would well use. In a way like minimal living but I don't think I am fully like a minimalist but I like some things from it and do have in a way some tendencies like it. Though more or less still figuring out if I am one or ever will become one.

  20. I collect Video Games (and memorabilia), anime, and starting a collection of grey hairs. I'm up to 5% of my hair being grey now according to my stylist. My job is waaay to stressful. I'm not even close to 40 yet! I can't afford to collect much anything else. Video games and anime are expensive hobbies.

  27. @ArchieKun I really didn’t like school, it was boring - as a result I didn’t pay half as much attention in class as I should have, unless it was a truly interesting topic, like Psychology. Also I don’t think I was challenged enough in school, wish I didn’t go to public school. Even though I took advanced classes, the only interesting ones were the college courses. The others I didn’t even study for.

  29. I have had a lot of pets and don't have photos for all of them at the ready. But I do have one. My first dog, Moose: He was a Border Collie so very hyper by default. He was also kinda crazy in his own unique way, and a bit of a clutz. Also way too smart for his own good. Moose liked to play with the cats although they were less enthusiastic... He never ever hurt them though. In particular he loved catching the cats between his front paws and sliding them around on the kitchen floor. They were much less thrilled with it than Moose. He also really loved toys and playing fetch with them, half of the pictures I have of him he has a toy in his mouth, eager to play. It has been years since he passed, but honestly I still miss the guy.

  30. @Illusion of Terra Yeah exactly that~ Heh, yeah I don't like the idea of debating things regarding criminals and criminal activity. After 4 maybe 5 years of dealing with them on a constant basis, learning about them, getting to know some of them, and almost getting stabbed by one and beaten by another, I don't think my mind can be changed and I may just get very agitated lol. But, I can say on the topic of specifically using a gun to injure, ignoring any possibility of retaliation, I still would personally use lethal force. While injuring may arguably, though not necessarily, be the moral choice, the issue is that specifically shooting to injure and successfully incapacitating someone nonlethally is gonna be extremely unlikely. You would need years of training to just have a chance and that still won't guarentee anything. Especially if they have a gun too. If they do, you don't get the luxury of making precise shots, that will just get you killed. Now if they have a knife or something and are rushing you, not nearly as dire but depending on distance you still may not have the time. If they aren't rushing you, or something else urgent, then using a gun at all there itself is possibly immoral. Even moreso if they are unarmed. Not to mention you may also very likely kill the aggressor accidentally even if you try not to. So regardless of one's stance, if you are using a gun in self defense you must be willing to take someone's life, because even if you don't want to and the idea sickens you, it may happen despite your best efforts. This is why I would only recommend using a gun if you think you are capable of taking a life. I know I personally don't have nearly the skill to make a non lethal shot in a life or death situation. If I wanted to live, I would have to shoot to kill by necessity unless they are standing still and not an immediate threat... in which case I wouldn't shoot in the first place. Now if shooting to injure and shooting to kill had the same success rates, then I would see it being fully arguable that you should shoot to injure. However I can only look at it from the realistic perspective; you either shoot to kill, or most likely get killed yourself. If shooting to kill seems immoral to someone, I think it is best for them to avoid guns in the first place.

  31. @SanguineTear I see, so you mean something like someone who is willing to kill someone is probably not going to change (there actually was a famous philosopher who thought so too). Too bad you don't want to debate it, would have been interesting! Maybe we mean the same thing with what I said that it is a bit too simple. Moral parsimony, if it actually is moral parsimony, should not be based on any kind of social correctness (I'm not saying it is not used like that, just saying it should not). Rules like "the morally right thing to do is to always give white people an advantage" or "it is morally right to always maximize the amount of damage you can do to society" would be very parsimonious, even though many would not call it morally right. That's also what I mean with that the quiz is too simple, it probably doesn't factor in such rule (although I'm not sure it doesn't). So yeah, maybe they only factor in rules that kinda presuppose ideas like "killing is wrong" but I can't be sure. In some European countries, policemen are not allowed to kill an attacker if it is not necessary. They are only allowed to use the kind of force that is necessary in the given situation. Of course this is hard to judge especially when the attacker has a firearm etc. I do get the problem of putting your colleagues at risk but I suppose that is something that takes a lot of experience to judge correctly. (this doesn't refer to this debate specifically, just in general) I also want to add that in philosophy people are quite straightforward, so if someone has an opinion which someone else thinks is false or not well argued for, philosophers usually say so in exactly those words. Just making sure no one thinks that someone wants to offend someone else.
