  1. Thank you very much, Ohiotaku I recently completed Yuru Camp and enjoyed it, I also enjoyed Recovery of an MMO Junkie and Re LIFE too. I haven't seen Azumanga Daioh, Flying Witch & K-On! I'll be sure to check them out, thanks! I have a 2DS, it's a great system but one I've only been able to play in short bursts because of the design, I find it uncomfortable to hold after a while, I've tried to find a grip for it but it seems no companies have made one for it. I've recently been looking at the New 2DS XL system, plus companies have made grips for that, so I might have to upgrade to that system so I can do longer gaming sessions on the go! Thanks! Hey, brycec! Thanks for recommending AF to me, I really appreciate it! I also know some HTML and CSS (Bootstrap), I'm also looking into getting into the world of JavaScript sometime too, the rapid pace of development with the libraries available I find outstanding, there's an abundance of libraries available for me to explore! Do you by any chance do any programming? Thank you very much, Seshi Toradora was one of the first anime's I watched, absolutely loved it! I haven't seen K-On! or Flying Witches, I'll be sure to check them out, many thanks! Hey Sofi, thank you very much I'm looking forward to enjoying my stay here! ^^ I really appreciate that, many thanks! ^^ Hey, efaardvark Amiga has to be my all time favourite computer system, so many great memories from my childhood I spent on the Amiga 500! That Lemmings pin is awesome, thanks for sharing a picture of it! Thank you very much, XII360 One of the many things I appreciate with retro gaming is looking at it from a developers point of view, back in the day with limited hardware resources the best developers were very creative with what was available at the time, and I think it's because of that it pushed them to make some of the best titles that are still remembered even to this day. Thanks!

  2. Personally I don't have a problem with hentai. However, because it exists, it is an easy way for the masses to bash anime in general. Perhaps the tentacle thing is a bit too widely known not to mention the use of childlike characters in the scenes. It's a stigma that has become a real barrier when trying to introduce any Gen X or early Millenial era folks to anime. For the most part, the drawings is on par with most anime that is not hentai based. For me, the issue is nearly always plotlines. Most plotlines revolve around rape or sex-slaves. Not all, but most. Many times too there are scenes that are reused in other hentai so...if I had to judge it, I would say the genre lacks innovation and the reuse of scenes makes the genre stale. It is probably one of the few genres that makes money without much effort put into it, but not because of the quality of the material.

  5. In your opinion, what is the most feel-good game? This can be anything, from a game with a touching story to one with a great soundtrack, just anything that makes you feel good when playing. For me, it has got to be Gravity Rush. Whenever I play that game I feel as if I have been whisked away into its world, like I am the one drifting through the skies of Auldnoir. The music plays a massive role in my enjoyment of the game as well as its captivating aura, it really just feels magical; however the soundtrack alone does not achieve the entire vibe. The gameplay itself, the ease of controls, graphics and smooth game play and camera angle really complete the whole thing. I may get incredibly invested in other video-games stories or characters, but no game has ever made me feel as a part of its own world as Gravity Rush. ~♥

  7. Hello everyone, I'm Banri, it's nice to meet you all. I've joined AF to meet new friends in the anime and manga community. The genre's I enjoy watching in anime and reading in manga are Slice of Life, Romance and Comedy. Golden Time is my favourite anime, the story made such a huge impact on me how it ended that I hold it close to my heart. I also enjoy retro gaming, although I haven't been doing much gaming lately, Lemmings is my all time favourite series. Between watching anime and reading manga, I've been brushing up on my PHP programming language skills, it's enjoyable but challenging at times. If anyone has any questions, I'd be more than happy to answer them, thank you and hope to see you all around

  8. Has anyone else seen Cardcaptor Sakura and are a fan of it? When I was a little younger my main magical girl anime was Sailor Moon and I never watched many others, but recently me and my sibling have been watching Cardcaptor lately and I'm really loving it. I usually like darker animes with action and stuff but sometimes I like cuter and more wholesome stuff too, and this is definitely one of them. When I watch it I always become relaxed (except for the little battle segments in almost every episode) and I forget about all of the bs in my life and such. There is also a new show called Clear Card that I'm going to watch after I finish the original as well

  9. Probably Stardew Valley. I can do anything or nothing. Aim for making money or just hang out with the townsfolk. Makes me wish at times for more games like that. You don't even have to do combat if you really don't want to.

  10. It supposed to be a short run time slice of life series with no spoken dialogue. Give that synopsis, I was expecting it to be more “artsy”, but the first ep just left me feeling “Wut?” 2nd ep wasn’t as weird, but still not that interesting.

  12. I remember many happy memories of Lode Runner on the C64 when I was a child, if I remember correctly it was my second favourite game behind Lemmings on the Amiga 500 I hope it's okay to share this link, I came across it a little while ago, to me it looks exactly like the original game, it's free to play and it plays directly in the browser too http://loderunnerwebgame.com/game/ I jump on there for quick gaming sessions from time to time

  14. Let’s try and keep this discussion based on the anime, and please don’t put spoilers from the manga or light novel, as this is the anime discussion, and it a: has differences from the original content and b: not everyone watching the anime has read the manga or light novel.

  15. I would have to say Ōkami is my all time favorite game that I've been in love with since I heard about it in 2006. The story is just amazing to me and the graphics are absolutely breathtaking. I really loved how the creators of Ōkami designed it and thought up of the story line as well. I really love the fact the main protagonist is a wolf since I'm a huge fan of them and always been my favorite animal since I could remember. Truly just an magnificent game I have to say and I'll always love and treasure it~

  16. Yesterday I started reading "Now Loading..." - I'm currently on Chapter 2 of 5 and I'm really enjoying it. I'm also currently reading "Teasing Master Takagi-san" and it's spin-off "Karakai Jouzu no (Moto) Takagi-san" - both series are currently ongoing, I'm all caught up with the latest releases, I've absolutely enjoying them so far and I'm sure I'll continue to enjoy them too. I recently finished Bocchi na Bokura no Renai Jijou - absolutely enjoyed it.

  18. That I understand as well. I'm just really really tired of having to play "happy little robot" when I'm depressed as hell and just have a really difficult time even crawling out of bed and attempting to have a life. I also get judgement from both sides of the coin because I'm transgender and was working in customer service. Being misgendered constantly and being looked at and talk about like I'm some sort of alien masquerading as human is causing severe mental health problems and I can't deal with the idiocy of others, my own identity, and being a parent all at once. So, I quit multiple jobs since last summer that involved being in customer service, but I can't get any other jobs because that's my only job experience. It doesn't help that both the colleges I attended folded like houses of cards. So, being a "happy little robot" because "the customer is always right" is a little beyond my mental capacity for the immediate future. Sorry for the rant.

  19. No problem. I hope you enjoy your time here, and don’t be afraid to explore the other areas. I never used boot strap, but I am pretty proficient in HTML and CSS. In fact, I did the layout for my blog and the site at the root of my domain name myself. As for my programming experience, I have done Java programming and made a couple Android apps, though I am now rusty in my skills with Java. I recently learned Apple’s Swift and was able to learn what I needed to put together the foundations of a text-based RPG, including importing assets from JSON files and how to map things, so that I can grab objects by identifiers. I also dabbled with Python a bit, which allowed me to generate QR codes for networks and retrieve posts and preserve tag relationships from both Wordpress and Habari blogs (Wordpress was a pain to figure out). I do know some PHP, but I am still a little weak in that area.

  22. Kind of late for me too, but welcome to the community. I hope you are enjoying your time here. I like DB Super and FMA too, though I never really got into super until the Trunks arc (I saw the earlier episodes and was not that impressed) and I enjoyed the 2009 adaptation of FMA more. Have you seen the recent Broly movie?

  23. I played that on the Amiga, back in the day. Bought it the day it came out. Had a blast with it. I even have a little lemming lapel pin that came with it, er, somewhere. Edit: Found it!

  25. Wow I didn't know anime goes back that far O.O' Well favorite anime.... hard to say, but the very first anime I watched I think was Digimon or Dragon Ball Z. I think Digimon season 2 is still one of my favorite animes to this day. I also like Peacemaker Kurogane - which we spoke about the other day -, and Boruto. I think Digimon is what actually got me into anime to begin with, between that and Dragon Ball Z that is when I started to find out what anime was and started watching other animes such as Fullmetal Alchemist and Inuyasha or whatever happened to be on TV at that time ^^

  26. I am so with you on this one. Mowing the grass and raking leaves would be another one. (Gardening I'm ok with, but once planted the plants should prune and water themselves, and rake their own leaves, dammit!) I would pay a substantial amount of money for a robot that could do the above, plus weed, wash windows, wash dishes and put them away, gather, sort, wash, fold, and put away laundry, vacuum, dust, etc, etc... Like, price-of-a-car substantial.

  31. Welcome glad you found your way here. Members are pretty friendly so you should be able to find some folks with common interests. I haven't seen Golden Time yet but it's on my radar. I've seen a number of slice of life series I've enjoyed. Favorites are Azumanga Daioh, Yuru Camp, Flying Witch & K-ON!. As far as romcoms, I liked Recovery of an MMO Junkie & Re LIFE. Most games I play anymore are retro (primarily my 2DS XL, but hoping to get a Switch sometime in the near future. Hope you enjoy your time spent here

  33. It's a saying some people have in reference to oneself. Basically looking out for themselves over caring about anyone else. Or feeling that they're more important than people you provide services to the public. Or that retail/customer service jobs are beneath them and the people that work them are basically dumb or just worthless in their eyes. It's just infuriating that people think that the person working a job for a living has no meaning or isn't a worthwhile person to at minimum be courteous to.

  34. I have only ever had one game that I have played that has made me cry. That game was Mass Effect 3. I know it received so much hate because of how it ended but I absolutely loved it even though I bawled my eyes out.

  35. Suikoden 2 have few ending,3 ending, best, normal and bad, the cruelest moment is in the ending when hero have to kill Jowy, the best ending is epic thought, hero,Jowy and Hero sister, left everything behind, fame, money, kingdom position,et cetera so they could journey together and keep being friend forever, I wish I have that kind of friend and relationship and experience

  37. I watched the first three episodes. All I had time for this weekend. As for the first episode, I really enjoyed it. The soundtrack is nice and it brought me back to Non Non Biyori (another SoL) with it's rural setting. I watched a bit in the English dub, then switched to Japanese but I actually liked the dub better. So far so good.

  38. *deep inhale* Most regularly I work as a cleaner for the Department of Work And Pensions offices but on some of my spare days I am a freelance photographer doing weddings, birthdays, festivals, real estate and more. Other days I work as a session musician, usually working small-time gigs for small time bands, I'm yet to get my big break playing with Foo Fighters or Slipknot but hope springs eternal. Any other part of my spare time is dedicated to my jobs working on the WoX sites (that's a whole other conversation) and also trying to build my own site but overall I spend lotsa time at the gym liftin them weights, getting them sweet gains and fulfilling my destiny as a wrestler. *L e GaSp* I do a lot of stuff and love my life :3 And in my spare time I, of course, watch lotsa anime

  39. So far really diggin' the vibe this series is putting out there. Some minor flaws but easily overlooked, otherwise decent character development, world building and of course the awesomeness of the variety of quirks out there...come one, who doesn't wish they could blow sh*t up, kick some major ass, or be a frog...wait what? Lol. Question is who's going to see the movie on the 25th? Me, HELLZ YEAH! Can't wait as it's a week away. Awesome part of that, seeing more anime movies being released mainstream theaters which means a bigger audience and more exposure. Long live the anime! Cheers! PS: Worst hero...Best Jeanist, I mean really???

  40. Well, if you.purchase a house, just look for one with either mostly rock for your yard or pay someone to mow it for you. I love moss gardens (usually shaded yards with rock and moss). No mowing required and always soft on the toes!
