  1. I usually wait a long time before I buy a set, that’s because I like to get the complete collection. That Cyborg009 release sounds like something worth owning for sure. I also only get my favorite series’ to own. I have been known to buy impulsively from Anime cons however Now a days I just wait until it’s Christmas, and put one on my wish list.

  3. heya, im kinda a country hick, but i also like to watch anime in my spare time. i grew up watching shows like dragon ball and naruto like everybody else. i don't really have a lot of anime i absolutely love and would watch over and over again, more cuz i'd rather spend my spare time watching new ones ive never seen before, so i'm not really devoted to specific series. i don't have money to collect any merchandise or anything either. i just came here for something to do and to find recommendations for new anime i've never seen before. i watch loads of different shows at the same time so to name the ones im currently watching would be too many to count, so uh...not sure what else i really have to say.

  4. Who else has Preorder Fever? Anyone else anxiously anticipating the release of a longtime favorite anime? Which preorders do you already have set for delivery, or are you more of a 'wait till the sale' kind of person? Post below and let us know! I was waiting for Star Blazers on preorder back before it released but then talked myself out of it in favor of waiting for a complete collection release (not sure how much longer I can hold out on this one...might just buy it....it taunts me everytime I go shopping). That said, now I've got Cyborg009 on preorder (this is remastered, uncut, all the episodes in one collection...never been released in the States like this before. I know, because I have the two DVDs they did release) and am so excited to get to finally see it completely uncut. Definitely not backing out on this one! I'm also preordering Code:Realize Guardian of Rebirth for my collection. Just a few preorders so far this year.

  5. Hello all! I'm Endynyp or Endy for short. I'm on another forum site that I really like, but I thought, if I like one, why not two? :P I love anime, video games, books, mixology, and everything even remotely geek-tastic. My favorite anime is xxxHolic, and my favorite character in that anime is Yuuko Ichihara (followed by Mokona). I'm mostly just looking to chit chat and make more friends. I look forward to getting to know all of you. :)

  6. Assuming you enjoyed any of the Magi series, Which did you like the most? Magi: Adventure of Sinbad Magi: The Labyrinth of magic Magi: The Kingdom of Magic I enjoyed each of these series for different reasons. It’s a really hard pick for me, because I’m a sucker for magical kingdoms... So I ate up all that magic training and really enjoyed the Kingdom series, but I also enjoyed the adventures of Sinbad It was soooo good, until the end when there wasn’t an ending >_> So that forces my vote over to Kingdom of Magic. If the Sinbad series ever got completed, then I’d probably change my mind. It had a lot less ecchi content than the other series, and it was more serious, so I liked it better in general.

  7. Anything is for children if the parents are negligent enough~ Jokes aside, I only really think of an anime as adult oriented if it has extreme over-the-top violence, drug use, "bad" language (I don't really consider bad language a thing, but that's neither here nor there~), and sexual themes, or if it is just a straight up hentai. So I personally I can't say I have found a show like that, or with cover art and a title overtly pointing to its adult themes, and have it turn out aimed at kids.

  8. I would have to go with the Magi: Adventure of Sinbad. Mostly due to him being my favorite character along with Yunan in the magi series. Although, it's only showing the beginning of Sinbad's journey to form his own nation, which you eventually see in Season 1/2. If I were to be honest, watching Magi: Adventure of Sinbad first would be more reasonable than starting off with the 1/2 season. There are many questions left unanswered in the first 2 seasons, like what is the seven sea alliance and how did that green lizard (Drakon) end up that way. Off-topic: I feel the same way for Black Butler, been binge watching both seasons without doing any research whatsoever and after the ending of season 2, I felt no motivation to watch Book of Circus which aired after season 2. (season 2 was just meh) Could have been better to release Book of Circus before the former.

  10. Humor must be mixed with serious moments, otherwise the humor grows stale. Plus, there is dry humor, where things are said seriously, but end up being funny to some. *Takes cake and multiplies it enough to fill the universe, before grabbing a bite.* Probably not enough of one though. we must train you in the ways of the Sith.

  12. I used to preorder all the time, but I’m much more selective about what I buy now and usually wait until I find a good price. There are exceptions though. I think the only 2 titles I currently have on preorder are the 2nd halves of My Hero Academia season 3 & Star Blazers 2202. There are actually a couple titles I would preorder in a heartbeat, but the licensor hasn’t scheduled a physical release (off the top of my head: Konosuba seasons 1 & 2, Yuru Camp and A Place Further than the Universe). For something older, a complete collection of Monster

  13. I can probably say that I have preorder fever. Sadly, much of the things I would like to preorder cannot be because of how annoying distributors/publishers can be, so some of the things I can only preorder a few days in advance, even though places like Amazon allow me the chance to preorder even further in advance.

  14. Who knows. However, we cannot guarantee that we will not consume the ghost potato for sustenance while we do it. On the other hand vengeance is a dish best served from one’s own heart. How do you know we are not planning your own downfall in secret? Plenty of people are too quick to call each other friends and then fall into the trap of apathy.

  18. I am in love with the rain scenes, while a few sun rays trickle through the clouds. Garden of the Words was a masterpiece with the rain theme but this is going to top it even more. I shouldn't expect anything less from Makoto Shinkai, his movies reflect thoughts, emotions and life circumstances in a more relateable and realistic way. This is the english version of the new trailer, if you are interested.

  19. An anime I'd like to recommend is this late 90s early 2000s anime that no one seems to talk about. It's called Jyu Oh Sei. It's about a pair of twin brothers with rich parents that in the distant future "accidentally" get sent to an alien planet that is meant for criminals. Now they have to find a way to get home and they also discover some secrets about themselves. The show takes place over many years with lots of time skips, so be wary of that. It's really good especially if you like adventure/ mystery type anime.

  20. Welcome Glad you found your way here. I grew up on a farm myself, though I live in town now. I saw where you mentioned canning in another post, I remember that being a summer family activity with my parents & sister, filling up the whole basement with green beans, tomatoes & homemade pickles to last the rest of the year. Definitely good memories of happier days. I don’t really buy merch either, though I have a pretty large collection of anime on disc I’ve collected over the years. But like you mentioned, there’s so much out there I don’t really have time to rewatch series (I’m currently watching 14 weekly series). As far as recommendations, I’ll start off with My Hero Academia. Anyway, hope you enjoy yourself here.

  23. Just wasting time right now, playing checkers, with it being so close to lunch time, and, surprisingly, I achieved this kind of victory. Was more expecting to completely block my opponent from being able to move, rather than this, even if the AI is said to be terrible.

  27. I was seriously disappointed in Jump Force. I was hoping it was going to be like Destiny in a way where you have a lobby for non fighting and finding friends to join you then heading off to almost open world planets. However, it's more like one large lobby and playing in stage fighting then after the fight you go back to said lobby. Kind of like that Naruto Shinobi Strikers game or even that Dragonball Z Xenoverse game.
