  1. Welcome to the forums, hope you enjoy it here For an action series I would recommend Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba). For something with a lot of awesome fights but is more philosophical too try Dororo & Vinland Saga. VS is particularly epic, but also pretty bleak. For series that are more psychological & suspenseful try The Promised Neverland, Deathnote & Shiki.

  6. I suppose, I should make an actual art post considering this is all new haha. Lets start with a picture I drew of a co-worker. She was sad one day because she didn't like her nose. I was a bit flabbergasted as I feel this person is beautiful inside and out....and so, I drew her lol Got to love inspiration no matter where it comes from. Now this one started as a sketch (just pencil) I have this sketch if anyone wants to see it haha... colored it after with some copics, and then did some edits on my phone. It is by no means exciting, quality isn't amazing....but it made my friend's day so who cares? ^.- My friend loves astronomy I tend to do a lot of mixed media in my work ^^;

  7. I'd love to get a group together & either dress as kids from The Promised Neverland or scouts from Attack on Titan! Oh, I'd also love to dress up as a member of the Black Bulls from Black Clover!

  8. I honestly had no idea where to even begin so I did the simplest thing I could think of...I got online & bought the hoodie for Uraraka from My Hero Academia & may just build my cosplay around that. I figured starting with costumes like that just get comfortable to start with would be a good idea. I've also started watching cosplay makeup tutorials on YouTube. And I know this is totally unnecessary but I've also been trying to learn a little Japanese as well. I'd like to not only be able to speak a few words if I'm in character but I'd also like to be able to watch anime without subtitles at some point.

  11. It being a mostly data-base issue, most unix systems were not (directly) affected by the infamous "Y2K" bug. However they are susceptible to a similar issue. Virtually all "POSIX" systems - including most unix systems, as well as linux - keep track of the number of seconds since the "unix epoch" began on 00:00:00 GMT on January 1, 1970 in a 32-bit number. If you ask a unix system what time it is you'll get back a number like (brb..) "1583616379", which corresponds to "Sat 07 Mar 2020 01:26:19 PM PST". Actually it is only a 31-bit number, with the 32nd bit indicating whether the other bits are to be interpreted as a negative or a positive number. Unfortunately this means that in only 18 years - at 03:14:08 GMT, January 19, 2038 to be precise - that 31-bit number will "overflow" into the 32nd bit and unix systems will start returning a negative number for the date. Obviously this will have various unintended and undesirable consequences. Fortunately the linux community has come up with a workaround in the nick of time. To be sure, it isn't a complete fix. In fact, it really just kicks the can down the road a bit. But we should now be good until 15:30:08 GMT Sunday, December 4, 29,227,702,659. Hopefully by then they'll have figured out how to deal with the situation once and for all.

  12. I'm first and foremost captivated by the art work. I have a lot of Kaori Yuki's manga because I loved the style, especially the clothing and hair detail. I am also drawn to cute work like clamp. I'm horrible though because I usually will buy for art and sometimes take years to actually read the stories. They are more art books to me. That being said, I'm pretty frugal, and so if I do find a series I like, I generally will look around at used book stores or find sales to purchase. I'm a big reader and love hard copy novels and will generally use rewards to buy more. Oddly enough, I'm more pulled towards story when it comes to western comics (like the sandman series and Fables series) But, again, I like the art style still. Webcomics I'm pulled in by the story. That being said, when I receive mangas as gifts and I like the story, I will seek out copies if I find it at a decent price.

  13. I wouldn't go so far as to say it was "really good". It was watchable, and it does have a plot device or two that keep it from winding up in the "just another ..." category, though as ohiotaku said it is otherwise a pretty typical harem. If that's your kind of thing then you'll probably enjoy it. Meh... I understand there's something like a dozen volumes to the manga too. Go figure.

  17. I considered it to be a pretty typical harem comedy myself, but it was popular enough that there’s supposed to be a second season later this year. From what I remember it isn’t really ecchi, but not very original either. And personally didn’t like about half the characters. I just finished the season’s final episode of Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun which I found surprisingly enjoyable. The plot revolves around a 14 year old who goes to school in the netherworld after being adopted by a demon (actually, he was sold by his deadbeat parents While the emphasis is on comedy, there actually is a bigger story that we get a hint of during the school festival arc & the fact that the throne of thee demon realm has been vacant for quite some time. It won’t appeal to everyone as it can be pretty silly & cartoonish, but for people who don’t like excessive fanservice or violence it stays in PG territory throughout. Season 2 has been scheduled for next year & I’m already looking forward to it

  19. I figured it would be important to introduce this blog before I actually just go forth and post. Although, how essential is an actual intro when you aren't really sure what you'll be posting? Yes, there will be random posts of artwork. Yes, I will probably vent some frustrations when dealing with a piece. I assume, I will probably leave some insight as to what has worked for me during a piece or not. IF that ever comes up (and that is totally dependent on whether or not I post more than sketches). I suppose, it would be up to you - the reader, as to where this should go. Please let me know if a work interests you, if you're curious how it was done, if you would like to know my process, if you have any questions about products I use, how I use them, and or any general statements. Art critics are welcome, will it be acknowledged? Maybe, maybe not every time, but I will read it nonetheless ^^v If this doesn't go anywhere and I ghost you all. Please forgive me. - Nyx

Welp, it was worth offering up but most people have seen MHA but it looked up your alley. I would recommend others, but...I've been going through a "lets watch whatever will make you cry" anime phase. Not sure you'd be interested you should check out the recommendations thread though haha ^^
