Hello everyone. Rean Schwarzer here, huge fan of trails series for what concerns jrpgs. On the other hand my favourite anime series are mostly between psychological, mistery, philosophical and action! Well uh i mean, i do like harem stuff too, and why not, some fanservice never hurts. I am totally new here, actually, this is my first time on an anime forum. I decided to join mainly cause i could not find much people to talk about anime plots, waifus and whatnot. I am 21 y.o from USA, currently a student. My hobbies rotate between sports and programming (especially stuff that is centered about database management and web developing). Currently working on making an A.I based on gatebox project that is, ofc, an anime girl. Well, either way, nice to meet ya all! Hope i can enjoy my time with ya!

My favorite thing about Wednesday, is working alone all day just cooking, baking and prepping for the next day. Still, I can't wait until the fall when I can change jobs again or go back to school. Decisions decisions

The company I work for is considered essential & I haven’t had a social life in 20 years. It’s weird to hear people talk like it’s the apocalypse when for me it’s pretty much life as usual. Or maybe sad instead of weird.

It’s not all that unusual for a series to have an OVA/Special episode that’s much sillier and/or ecchier than usual. The first example that came to my mind is Higurashi (When They Cry). The series itself is psychological/horror based. But there’s an OVA episode where the male lead is wearing a cursed speedo & the whole episode is about the girls trying to pull them off.

What's the weirdest obscure anime you've seen? I haven't seen a lot since i'm mostly trying to catch up on the big ones, but recently ive been trying to watch more obscure anime. but, ill start with one: Damekko Doubutsu is about a forest full of useless animals that are bad at being what they are. Except all of the characters look like humans dressed up in weird animal costumes...? it looks cartoony like it's meant for little kids, but the characters are all adults and some of them drink and smoke. It aired briefly in 2005. im sure other people can top it, this is just an example.

How about Midori no Hibi? Ok, probably not THE wierdest. Pretty high on the list though.

Welcome to the forums I’m generally not into romance dramas. Fruits Basket & Re:Life are exceptions that might work. The currently airing Sing Yestetday for Me might go that way also. I personally prefer romcoms like Recovery of an MMO Junkie or Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It.

So I totally couldn't fall asleep last night and now I am extremely tired but i still feel a bit restless and my mind is just going so I guess I'll drink some coffee and figure something out to do. I started watching Brave 10 last night. Well I watched the first 2 episodes like awhile ago I kinda remember how it started but thought I should just start it over. I feel like the priestess character is a little overly clingy for me but I was digging it. probably finish watching it today cause I don't have anything better to do right now.

So I watched an anime called 11 Eyes. Now It was pretty decent however there is a side story called 11eyes: Momoiro Genmutan it's a one episode side story. It takes on a weird bizarre XXX-rated turn and it was highly amusing to watch.

Okay Everyone so I already updated my status a little while ago so I would like to continue on that note by making a few blog entries. Since yet again it has been some time since my last post. I don't know if I have mentioned to you all before but I quite the procrastinator while I am at home. So my room is a hot mess and it takes me forever to do stuff also as a Gemini I tend to get sidetracked a lot so I never really finish anything I actually start. Ugh sometimes I just wish I could get together while I'm home. Also I said only at home that's because when I am at work I'm totally different person. Diligent, hard working, problem solver, communicative, real people person. I wasn't or is not popular but when I think of a character I probably most resemble Umaru from Himouto! Umaru-chan. Anyway I digress back to the main program. lol. There was a few things I wanted to talk about one is this will be the only mention of things in the world right now as I am sure others are already talking about things and frankly I am sick of all this craziness and wish to not talk about it. I do however care very much about the people's well being and mental health so like I have said before if you need a friend to talk to I'm willing to listen that aside my blog shall bring happiness with reviews of anime's, manga, Japan, kpop, and jrock, among many other things. Ok moving on. I love Haikyu it is one of my top 10 favorites I can watch this series over and over again. That being said I was a bit disappointed when the new season is WHAT already over. Just 13 episodes I don't know why but it felt awfully short to me. I mean it is pretty standard 12 to 13 episodes per season but looking back The first and second season were each 25 episodes soooo you know WTF. But the wait shouldn't be too long. Tentative date will be sometime this July with 14 more episodes. So I CAN'T FREAKIN WAIT!!!! Second season of Fruits Basket started and I am already highly irritated at Motoko that girl I just wanna punch in the face. The first episode introduce a couple of new charcters who were highly strange to put it mildly. See what story those two bring. Other than that the episode was kinda plain honestly. But we are just getting back into the swing of things so I am sure there will be more adventures and drama awaiting. My looking Forward/New Season List Some more SAO - Now I know a lot of people have mixed feelings about this series. I will say I quite like however it does not make my top 10 list. Since I'm older I quite like some old school stuff but I have invested a lot of time in watching all of the series thus far. It's got some good qualities I feel the new story arc is a little lacking compared to original and GGO season's. I felt it was a little slow in the beginning but now that some of the original cast is starting to come back into action it is starting to feel more like itself sort to speak. Assendance of a Bookworm - I love Myne (sounds like Mine) she is the main character. Okay if you haven't watched this little gem I would. Classified as Isekai. Basically a reincarnation into another world. She is thrust into and frail poor girl, though she isn't alone her whole family is there don't get to sad on me. But this world is quite different and there is a lack of books which well from the title guessed her previous life she was a bookworm and thus part of her struggles begin. She super kawaii it's an adorable funny story. Guess I just started second season it was a really short break in-between that last couple episodes so I don't really call it a second season in my opinion. Food Wars 5th Plate - Soma is my jam. LOL. I absolutely love Food Wars I can't get enough of this sadly I believe this will be the last season. I have been thinking after this is over I might start reading the manga cause I love it so much. Highly anticipating what and where the shows going. Tower of God - Now I haven't watched the first episode of this but I'm hoping it will be decent. The story sounds good so we will see how the plot unfolds itself. When I watched the preview up the upcoming season there were a few shows I was interested in but I didn't freaking write them down at the time thus I can't remember what they were. So we will see when they come out and I will update you all on the promising new shows. Sorry forgot one. The 8th son? Are you Kidding me? - An isekai also. First episode was quite entertaining and I feel will be very funny and interesting to watch. During the first episode the opening montage does't happen until the halfway point of the episode was quite weird but it was an awesome rock song. SPOILERS!!! The main character is a salary man and after getting off from work prepares a meal and right before eating falls asleep and wakes up in a very strange place and is also now a young boy. He thinks he is rich nobility but it's more like poor nobility and then finds out that he isn't a 3rd son but in fact the 8th. Anyway some other funny stuff happens and it was pretty good.

If it's anything weirder than weird, It's Gakuen Handsome. And yes it's an anime and yes I watched 2 episodes of it until I gave up. I just. Don't understand why they made this. It's. Just. Like. Look at the dude's chin. You can kill someone with it. And the opening and endings are just like a great troll or a very bored project by the studio. (The anime's duration is only up to... 5 minutes? It's been 3 years and I'm not touching that ever again.)

Hey all you crazies, I mean that's what we are all feeling probably. Most places being on lock down everything feels so topsy turvy. Anyways I'm doing well despite being out of work like so many others. I've been studying my Japanese since I have so much time on my hands. Also crafting, reading, watching anime, sleeping a lot, eating and drinking alcohol seems like the thing to do. Just kidding not drinking that much. Mostly being a couch potato. I haven't posted a blog in while so I need to get on that ASAP (sorry btw). I forgot was going talk about some stuff but I guess I'll just put it into my blog.

Weird AND obscure? Pretty sure that honor(?) would go to Papuwa. Strikes me as a parody of Dragonball (before Z) with wardrobe inspired by The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I think that's why shows like The Mist, Bird Box and Cloverfield freak me out so much. Its an alternate reality encroaching on ours or aliens...they're creepy too. I think IF and I mean highly skeptical on the if, some fantastical world did start to encroach on our reality that we on our side would not magically be given any special power. That it would solely be one sided unless birthed into by two people (thinking genetics), but magic. I'd be very skeptical on. Reminds me of the movie Bright haha And so yes, like @RZ. already wrote. I too would probably die quite fast...but hopefully not so agonizing lol

My brain says no. My heart says YES YES YES. My brain reminds my heart that in such a world I would probably die an agonizing death in the first 10 seconds, so it's a nope from me lol.

I haven't watched Perfect Blue yet but now that I've heard this I'm definitely going to check it out.

i dont really like traveling, like, i do go camping in the woods a lot, if that counts. but ive been to mammoth cave, ive been to nashville for a concert with my old band and to sightsee, and i guess its just not for me. its too jarring and stressful, and it costs way too much money. but, there are some things about it that are fun. i just think, theres plenty of pretty sights at home anyway, and i can learn more about culture online by talking to people who live there. so i don't think its something thats really a necessary thing to do in your lifetime these days to feel fulfilled, you know? but for people who it doesn't stress out that much, i bet its really fun.

I got extended holidays due to the corona virus and should use it wisely. hehe Guess I will start with binge watching Death Note.

So I hope that everyone out there is doing okay or the best they can be. I'm out of work right now sucks but what can I do about that but just try to stay positive. I know many might be feeling the same. Recently found my self a bit depressed I think mostly from being stuck inside since most places in the United States shut down. So can't go out to eat or movies or anything like that. There is only so much you can do inside your house before you start going stir crazy. I decided that if i got to move around like exercise I might feel better and sure enough. So I plugged in my WII and put in some Zumba and after a few dances and some sweat i feel much better. So if you find yourself feeling down for what ever reason just doing a little cardio it might help.

So I don't know what's going on with me lately. I have a few shows that I am watching right now. mostly new content so I have to wait for the episodes to air first before being shared. Though usually while waiting I'll watch stuff that is a older and has all it's episodes already out. But lately I'm bored almost like nothing is really peaking my interest. On one hand I feel like you can never watch too much but maybe I'm a little burned out or I know what I wanna watch but not finding the exactly thing. Like when you're hungry craving something but you can't exactly pinpoint or you know what you want but you just don't have it in your fridge or cabinet. *sigh* ahh thanks for letting me vent. *sigh* Hope i figure this out soon. Any suggestion or comments are welcomed!!
