  1. Hello, my name is OtakuKid, and, well... I like anime, a lot! I consider myself an Otaku-In-Training, cause I have the dedication but I’ve only been seriously into anime for about 2 years. I watch popular anime’s and nonpopular ones too. I basically don’t care how popular it is, only how good it is. My other hobbies are hiking and drawing. I’m not really into sports. This website seemed pretty cool, so I got an account. I dunno what else to say. My dream is to cosplay as Sakura. (I really like her) With love and uwu’s Your pal OtakuKid

  2. That's similar in nature to one of the weapons from my story which allows for Electromagnetic manipulation. Its users can basically shoot ionising radiation or induce particle decay in their enemies

  4. Your spatial magic would be BEAST mode for sure! Wow! Um, as for me...let's see. Controlling the elements would be cool. Especially air & water because I'd have an advanced spell that would allow me to manipulate those elements within my enemies. So for example, I could cause them to dehydrate or suffocate.

  5. I really like the different types of magic and the fight scenes tend to be awesome too. Need nothing be said about the intros I have too many favorite characters lol but I think if I had to choose 4 it'd be Noelle, Vanessa, Luck and Zora (at the moment anyway) I also feel like I'm the only person in the world whose main ship is Vanessa and Finral (and yep, I know they end up interested in other people ).

  6. The worst thing is that the intros are animated really nicely and then they do THAT @Amali The S;G has really great music but also atmosphere as well. For me I think 'Blue' from Cowboy Bebop and 'Jesus Bleibet Meine Freude' from NGE are my big emotional ones.

  12. Welcome to the forums, hope you enjoy it here Yeah, I personally feel restricting yourself to just “popular” series means you miss out on a lot of enjoyable series that fly under most people’s radar. Besides everyone has different tastes & anime is diverse enough to have something that appeals to anyone. I do think I need to be a bit more sekective. Lately I’ve been watching 15 - 20 ongoing series per season which doesn’t give me much time to work on my backlog list I used to hike quite a bit when I lived in the country, but not so much now. Would probably be beneficial to start again. Anyway, hope you find enough to interest you here that you stick around.

  15. Hi there, your senpai @Ohiotaku is already here jokes aside, I think it is great that you like hiking and drawing! I can't draw but I think those are great activities in general. Sakura from Naruto though? if so, then I see you are a person of taste!

  19. One of my favorites is the soundtrack to Attack on Titan. Another more recent one is Fire Force. The music for that entire show including all of the fight scenes is just epic all the way around in my opinion.

  25. The original is from 2006, I started watching it but never finished but don’t remember why. Just last year I watched the prequel Fate Zero (2011 - 2012) and loved it. Have since watched some of the spin off side stories, but wasn’t impressed. Really need to give the original another try.

  27. Do you guys ever get affected by an anime so much that whenever you hear a soundtrack from that anime you feel a whole whirlpool of emotions? For me one of such anime is Steins Gate, gosh I always stop just to listen to it. Unless it is too sad for my current state of mind

  30. Really struggle with Black Clover, every time I start to watch it and try to get back into it, just doesn't grab me as much as others do, but I know there are some I like that people will think are worse I suppose. I see you bought Log Horizon - really enjoy that.

  34. I am going for a dream based on challenge and favourite designs as I have been making costumes for years. Mine is perhaps Purple Heart from Hyperdimension Neptunia. Guess in a way she is on the straddle as I have a lot more free time these days and would love to work with LEDs. As for love of the series I would love to be a part of a Seven Deadly Sins group, or maybe Phantom thieves from Persona 5. Thinking of Gowther or Diane, and Oracle or Panther.

  35. I love LOVE reading! Personally, I've always been a physical copy type of girl and rather not get a digital copy/e-reader. AND, I will buy books I love however, I do have a library card because... that **** is expensive....(I'd be broke with all the books I'd want to buy lol). When I was younger I had lived in Vancouver for a solid two years after that I wanted to move back home and needed to lug all of my books back with me. I never realized how much I loved reading until I had 3 suitcases of books and a duffel bag of clothing. *Priorities* I don't mind audio books, they're usually my go to when I can't sleep or have a long drive ahead of me....can't...use my hands ^^; When I was in University, I always felt a little like Hermione from Harry Potter, as I would usually be done most of my textbooks before the course truly started. I am a fairly fast reader and like to have a varied selection of books on the go. I can be a slightly annoying person when I get into a good book - my sister used to get angry at me as I would usually ignore everything around me until I was completed a story. Basically, I'm really good at ignoring the world around me when I have my nose in a good article or story. I'm always inspired by the authors of novels and how much research that must go into their work. I mean to create such captivating stories you must know a decent amount of a topic to be able to describe places, situations and actions. For example, you can't write a believable story about a climber if you know nothing about climbing, or it would be a pretty empty story line with no body. I always thought it would be such a fascinating job to become a writer because it gives you an outlet to learn as much as you can and share that knowledge in a variety of ways, although, I have always felt a disconnect from idea to paper. Those who are creative enough to come up with an idea and then bring that idea to fruition - you're amazing in my eyes and I thank you everyday. Here's a short list of some books I've read this past year - keep in mind, I read almost everything haha so it might not be up your alley (no particular order) - An Invisible Library (by Genevieve Cogman) "Series" - Deadly Outbreaks (by Alexandra Levitt) - The Memory Illusion (by Julia Shaw) (really neat book, read if you like to learn about memory in the use of crime, and whether or not its possible to implant memories on people) - Sleeping Beauties (by Stephen King) - Death by Video Games (by Simon Parkin) - The Rules of Magic (by Alice Hoffman) - The Bone Season (by Samantha Shannon) "Series" Mime order - How Can I help? A Week in My Life as A Psychiatrist (by David Goldbloom) - The View from the cheap seats (by Neil Gaiman) - The Night Circus (by Erin Morgenstern) - The Goldfinch (by Donna Tartt) - An Orchestra of Minorities (by Chigozie Obioma) - Lost Connections (by Johann Hari) - Sapiens (by Yuval Harari) General Recommendations: - Margaret Atwood is my favorite author .....so anything? haha - Haruki Murakami another fav auth (start with 1Q84) I also really enjoy poetry authors I would recommend (and are probably already known) - Rupi Kaur - B. Abbott (I have High Poet Society, but he has two books now I think?) - Lang Leav - John Donne Anyways, maybe I'll add more posts about books :3 I feel like, getting to know a person's reading list, really lets you get to know the person. And of course, here's a pic I am currently working on
