  4. I’m binging anime on this new site I found called VRV. Free account making, and once you do you get a huge range of free anime. You don’t HAVE to make an account but if you do you can comment. there are a few ads, cause it’s free, but they’re not too annoying. If you’re looking for a new place to watch anime, check this place out.

  6. Hello one and all, I'm RepentantSky and I've been gone for something like a year or more for reasons I'm not even sure of. I'm sure there's a lot of you who have come to join the forums since I've been away, and that a lot's changed, but hopefully, there are some people who remember me, and are willing to rekindle old friendships, though you'll have to excuse me, with memory as bad as mine if I don't remember you by name. Either way, I'm back, and it's good to be here again. So hi to all who know me, and welcome to everyone who's joined during my absence.

  9. A lot depends on price and release date. At the rate that AMD is releasing new processors and upgrading their process if it takes until the end of the year for the PS5 to get here then that'll be kind of hard to sell. I can build a nice 3700X system with a decent motherboard, a 5700xt gfx card, an NVMe SSD, and 16GB of RAM right now for about $800. By the end of the year that processor, mobo, and GPU will be cheaper last-gen parts so I'd probably be able to shave at least a couple/few hundred off that price by then. If the PS5 comes out at more than $500 or later than July or August (by which time AMD will have released their next CPUs and GPUs) then it'll really only be of interest to existing playstation owners. Maybe Sony could sweeten the deal with bundles and such, but that kind of thing only goes so far. The PS5's SSD isn't really much of a selling point either. I mean, yeah it is good that it is there but even low-end motherboards have an NVME-capable M.2 slot these days. The PS5's slot is also an M.2 so there's nothing really special about it hardware-wise. It is definitely a step up from the PS4's storage system, but these days an SSD is kind of required on a new system. All that said, that PS5/Unreal V demo did get a lot of favorable attention. If that is the caliber of games we can expect on release day then that would be pretty cool and I'm sure it would drive sales even with a price headwind. Also, MSFT and Sony seem to be playing a game of chicken with regards to announcing the pricing of their respective consoles. The hardware in MSFT's system is probably cheaper to produce. If they came out first with a price that works for them then I can see Sony matching the price, even if it means they take a loss initially.

  10. Vinland Saga is EPIC but more historical. Not a lot of fantasy elements with the exception of Thorkell’s freakish strength. And 2nding Goblin Slayer

  19. Its funny that someone would say it's boring to you because you don't like reading, when for me it's more of the opposite. I find the writing of visual novels to be terrible BECAUSE I am used to reading actual well written novels... Just miss me with that.

  21. Been looking at the rumor sites regarding AMD "zen3" CPUs and "RDNA2" GPUs. I'm not one to freak out over rumors but I'm getting cautiously excited about the GPU side of things now as well. Things may be about to get as huge a boost on the GPU side as the CPUs market has had recently. RDNA2 hasn't been released in a PCI card yet by AMD. I think that may be because it is used in the new playstation and Xbox consoles coming out and there's probably some agreements there to not rain on the console parade by pre-releasing better-performing options for the PC crowd before the consoles get released. The "RDNA" (RDNA1) on the 5000-series GPUs (5600, 5700XT, etc.) has been better than GCN (Graphics Core Next) on the old RX 400- and 500-series, but not terribly exciting in the greater scheme of things. I'm kind of wondering now if that/those GPU solutions aren't actually ultimately destined for the /mobile/ market - after fine-tuning and a process upgrade - and RDNA2 (featured in the recent Unreal V PS5 demo) on a 7nm(+) process is the main attraction on the desktop. IF - big if - that's the case then a Zen3 CPU and a RDNA2 GPU might be the combo to angle for. With AMD's recent backtracking about not supporting Zen3 on 300 and 400 series chipset motherboards I have at least a chance of using Zen3 on my current system. Even if there's issues with Zen3, I've checked and the mb's bios already supports up to a 12-core Ryzen 9 3900X. That plus a nice GPU upgrade would keep me happy.. for a few minutes anyway. The other thing I've been hearing about GPUs is kind of a persistent background noise about the idea of the upcoming cards having huge amounts of persistent storage on them. The idea would be have a few GB of GDDR6 as usual, but then additionally have a few -hundred- GB of highly parallel flash storage as well backing that on the GFX card itself. An (essentially) 16x PCI SSD on a GPU card would have insane bandwidth to the rest of the system. And even faster speeds locally within the GFX card. Basically within the card it would be like having 4 or more SSDs arranged as a striped array with the GDDR6 acting like a multi-gigabyte quad-channel memory cache for the SSD. Load times would be measured in seconds at startup, and while playing the game would be almost instantaneous. Probably not cheap, but I can see how it would work. I'd really like to see something like that in action on a board with a GPU that can run a demo like that in the PS5/Unreal V demo.

  22. Here's the best way to experience Tokyo Ghoul: Watch only the S1 of the show, then if you can, read the manga. S2 is a mess because it diverges from manga storyline, and the studio can't do it right. S3 and S4 (or TG:re S1-S2) are just terrible in terms of animation and pacing.
