So I've been doing some remastering using AI algorithms on an old anime, hajime no ippo, a boxing anime and have just finished it. The type of remastering I did was to enhance the resolution, clean up artifacts/noise, and frame interpolation. I've made my own subreddit, in there I've got more info, as well as some FAQs. Check it out! https://www.reddit.com/r/InterpolateAndEnhance/ For now I'll be doing anime, the next series will be the old hunter x hunter. At some point I want to try out live action content, specifically action stuff like martial arts movies, or straight up action, but for now the interpolation algorithms aren't quite good enough, or well actually they kinda are, at least the high end ones, but good luck trying to interpolate anything with those on anything other than a RTX 3090.2 points

I did some digging at one point a while back and found out that the older hajime no ippo actually had more frames, at least in fights, than the newer ones which I thought was interesting. This difference wouldn't become as big as the newer anime got more used to itself, but it's still there. This might be why, as when I watched the newer ones I remembered that the fights in the older ones were better still.1 point

I think the decline in activity is due to new anime fans who search a place to share their thoughts are often recommended to go either discord or reddit by major "influencers" from other media like youtube and twitch. Which means publicity wins. I particularly don't have the knowledge to resolve this problem, so I'm sorry for not being helpful. The reason I came here was running away from the toxicity often found in places like discord and reddit (not every place is bad, but the bigger ones very often are).1 point

Laidback (Yuru) Camp season 2- up to episode 7. Nadeshiko going on her first solo camping outing (they grow up so fast ) Rin & Sakuraās apprehension is understandable, but she demonstrates that she has been learning & paying attention to the advice sheās given. Reinforces a lot of my belief that much of her scatter-brained behavior is just being overly enthusiastic/energetic. Itās funny how despite the lack of an actual story, this seasonās episodes feel like they build on last seasonās. Most importantly, it continues to be a much needed weekly dose of positive energy1 point

Thinking about modifying a town in minecraft that I've been experimenting with. I like the way it is working, but I'd like to try another level or a keep or something inside the walls. Maybe go for a few more citizens too. By experimentation I've found that all the beds have to be within about 16 squares of the profession tables however, otherwise weird things happen. Unfortunately the way I've structured the town I have all the profession tables in the center of town in a kind of market square area. Around that I have several buildings that house the individuals' dwellings (and beds). Most of that area is filled, and I haven't had much luck getting the villagers to use beds that aren't on the same level. Seems like there's maybe a 5-layer leeway up or down but beyond that the villagers won't use any beds I put down. There's already quite a few villagers so I don't actually need any more but I'm trying to find the limits.1 point

Hi everyone, The forum will be undergoing a major core update which will result in some downtime whilst the update is applied. The updates will include some UI improvements as well as significantly improved performance with the themes, particularly for mobile users. Also please note, we are suspending the Member Shop and Trophies/Medals features due to lack of developer support. We are looking at bringing these back in a new form sometime in the near future. Thank you for your ongoing support.1 point

I'm kinda proud of this one. One of my friends commissioned me to make this character for him. I wasn't sure about doing commission work since I only JUST got back into drawing after at least 5 years of not doing it seriously. But yeah hope y'all like it. It was inspired by the Jack Frosts from the Persona games and Craig Tucker from South Park.1 point

@SanguineTear I only ever played Resident Evil a little bit plus didn't really get far enough in it as well. It did however scare me a lot on one part of the game so.. I never attempted to play it again. However I did watch people play some of the Resident Evil games on YouTube walktrhoughs so it was in a way interesting to watch it. I don't tend to watch nor play horror types games due to a reason but from time to time I might watch something if it's really more cheesy than scary. Though I do very much adore monster type movies since some are really not scary at all. ----------------- I want to play a game right now but I might need to take more time and ease myself in when I'm more ready.1 point

Modern day Japanese salaryman "dies" and wakes up in an RPG themed world in the body of the weakest of all characters (a slime). However, this slime has some rather unique abilities that quickly make him a force to be reckoned with in this fantasy world. Things start rather slow, largely focusing on the MC becoming acquainted to this new setting and trying to find a purpose in it and the humor is rather subdued. This was also the problem of the series initially, because it struggled to distinguish itself from other similar OP MC Isekai series (not as dark or intricate as Overlord, not as wacky as Konosuba, not as ecchi as How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord). But recent developments have made the story more interesting as well as emotionally engaging. Currently I would rank it as my #3 of the dozen series I'm watching from this season. I recommend checking it out, but give it some time to grow on you.1 point
