  1. For those of you who have watched the Attack on Titan anime, or read the manga you can agree with me that the series in its entirety is a masterpiece from start to finish. The show addresses many of the darker themes and aspects of life which are applicable in our world today such as war, bigotry, pain, suffering and other forms of hatred and injustices that are ever-present throughout the story’s continually evolving plot. Although the plot of Attack on Titan may encompass all of these different issues they are all intertwined, and the one crucial similarity among all of these different themes is the perception of reality, and how it shapes our perspective and our view of the world around us as well as what we perceive to be true and just. Initially the story of Attack on Titan is told through the perspective of the young, and idealistic protagonist Eren Jaegar whose main objective is to save humanity from what he believes to be the brink of extinction from Titans who for some unknown reason wish to entirely eradicate humanity. As he continues to travel and work alongside the Scouts, the expedition team tasked with uncovering the secrets of the Titans and saving humanity, he eventually comes to learn along with his partners that they have been incorrect and misinformed concerning the state of world affairs which has consequently led to them being isolated from the rest of the world on Paradis Island. This revelation is so crucial because it forces Eren, the Scouts, and the rest of humanity on Paradis to question who the real enemy they have been fighting all this time truly is as their main issue is no longer defending themselves against the threat of Titans, but now striving for peace and acceptance in society while bearing the scorn of a modern world that despises them as a result of their people’s history and because of their ethnic differences. The circumstances of those from other nations of the world are similar to those on Paradis in the sense that they have been indoctrinated with propaganda about the inhabitants of the island, and believe that their fears and feelings of superiority because of their race provide them with a justifiable excuse to commit genocide against them. Eventually during the story’s conclusion the world as a whole begins to move toward building peaceful relations with one another as well as understanding after coming to realize their fears were irrational and that regardless of differences they are all human beings. The inability to understand and respect differences between people is what sows confusion and hatred in the minds of others, and it is an issue that is especially present in our world today. This lack of understanding only creates tensions, and perpetuates unending cycles of fear and hatred which can lead to conflict and result in nothing pain, sorrow, and unnecessary bloodshed, which I believe is one of the key underlying messages Isayama was trying to get across to his viewers through the series. Overall this series is very enjoyable and I was enthralled from the moment I began it, and I would highly recommend adding it to your watchlist if you have had reservations about getting into it.

  4. I know the OP is over a year old but from the pink & blue hair it looks like it could be Reona Nyubara from BanG. Don’t remember the rather distinctive headphones or the costume however. (Then again I may just not have been paying close enough attention.)

  5. Absolutely true. The Latin Squares from 19th century Europe were often not numbers either. However, a "math" game is not solely based on numbers or computation, just fundamental math concepts. And as you justified, Sudoku does have one of the biggest mathematical principals working for it: Logic. Being able to use inductive and deductive reasoning to be able to turn prove and reach conclusions, all of that is actually considered a math skill. The fact that Sudoku just happens to also to present the puzzle with digits is an aesthetic plus. There's many other examples of games like this, and the goal of this wing of my YouTube channel is to showcase them.

  6. I would like for us to have a true "creativity" contest. For that, I must ask: What expression or words would you like to see drawn out? In a similar way to acting out expressions in charades, we will seek to take these expressions and give them life through a drawing. The challenge will be to take the most popular expression (after voting) and draw it. For example, the most popular expression voted turns out to be "I love you". You would then come up with a creative way to express those words in a drawing. With points going to the most creative. This is a creativity contest after all.. Not just an art contest. To get us started, I will ask that you please come up with 1 or 2 expressions that you would like to see drawn out. They can be completely ridiculous, it doesn't matter what. As long as its within our forum rules. After we get a few entries we will vote to see which one our contestants will be drawing for us. Think of this as a competitive version of the jackbox game scribblio (I know some of you here have played that) and If you have any questions feel free to ask here or in a pm.
