  1. "My Roommate is a Cat" (Doukyonin was Hiza, Tokidoki Atama no ue) A SoL show from 2019, making it relatively recent compared to some other shows mentioned here, but something I still consider underviewed, or at least not talked about enough. It's also a pretty short watch, being 12 episodes like other seasonal shows. The show follows the story of of Subaru, a socially awkward man who has separated himself from the rest of the world, and... a cat. While being a SoL anime, it's also the growth story of Subaru, and his companionship with Haru, the cat. One thing I really like about the show is that it shows both the perspective of both Subaru (human) and Haru (cat). This bring really hilarious moments but also heartfelt and touching moments. It's not often you get to see an anime that's revolved around pets! MAL here for the show (the reviews on MAL do a much better job at explaining than I do) Also the opening song is one of my favorites of all time

  3. Here are my beloved children It's pretty obvious who they are, but I'll say it anyways. Kirito and Asuna (SAO), Sakura Hatsune Miku and Megurine Luka (VOCALOID) and, ofc, Flareon (Pokémon). I also have some Pokémon stuff but I'm too lazy to take a picture

  4. Welcome to the forum. So what do I think anime is missing? Aside from a handful of underused premises and themes, not really a whole lot. There are quite a number that I liked that I believe could have been written to be even better. There is certainly never a shortage of pretty girls, although I think it would be nice to see more tall women with ripped figures. With that being said, I do think that the trend toward fan service has come at the expense of the plot development of many anime - to the point where the cleavage being shown becomes more important than the story itself is; I think this is unfortunate.

  6. I do love flashy visuals and tend to rather have more fight scenes than dialogue, but I personally think the best dialogue is without words. Actions can always paint a vivid picture in each scene.

  9. Another aspiring content creator! A mix of almost every genre that can be all things to all people though would be next to impossible to make without it alienating the target demographics in question. One also has to consider the pacing and the amount of character dialogue which helps to explain the plot. I think flashy visuals are great, but the story must have substance behind it. Story development is unfortunately one of the most frequently overlooked elements that goes into making shows.

  10. Welcome aboard. Make yourself at home. What is anime missing? I've thought long and hard about this and not really come to any conclusions. Although I've made several comments in various topics on the forum about specific anime series that I think have been missing something. Perhaps I could ask why you think anime is missing something.
