Getting ready to go to WWE tonight with @Zeref and have a fancy dinner beforehand at a nice restaurant4 points

Today I picked @Sakura up from the airport in the morning since today she came back home. We went to a restaurant that is out far from where we live to meet with some of her cousins that live in the countryside there. The food was really great I had catfish and fries and coleslaw there was 15 of us that met at the restaurant and had a great time together. We after that drove following Serey's cousin out farther in the farm areas to see an old farmhouse that use to belong to Serey's family I think it was a great aunt. It was sentimental to everyone and had just been sold and was the last time they could visit since the aunt passed away. We also went with a guy to see his sheep We also stopped to go zip lining in the caves and because it being Sunday and Mother's Day there was not a lot of people in there and we had it practically to ourself. I had fun but I think @Sakura has a new trauma lmao.4 points

I've been watching anime since the mid 1990's. I'll watch almost any genre except yaoi, shonen ai, shonen, most giant mecha and samurai themed anime. What I like-almost anything else, I really like-sci fi, romcom, sol, fantasy, ecchi, and a lot of other stuff.2 points

Over the UK May Bank Holiday weekend, 2nd to 5th May 2025, I went to the West Somerset Railway's Spring Steam Spectacular. The railway has held these steam galas since the mid-1990s and I have attended most of them and have photographs of every Spring Gala since 2002. What's so special about these you might ask, well on a normal day the railway will run 4 or 5 trains in each direction per day with 2 or 3 steam locomotives in use. On a gala there could be up to 16 trains in each direction and 9 or 10 steam locomotives in service and they also run goods trains which gives some variety to what you can see, so you can see the appeal for railway enthusiasts like me. A brief bit of history. The railway originally opened in 1862 by the Bristol and Exeter Railway between Taunton and Watchet and was built to the broad gauge of 7 foot and a quarter inch it is a single line railway with loops at several place along the route where trains could pass each other. Watchet was at that time a major port on the River Severn as well as an industrial centre and exports from the port included flour, limestone, textiles, iron ore, paper and in later years car parts. On my first visit to Watchet in 1979 the port was still working and it was interesting watching ships come in, the whole port are was of course shut off from the town because of quarantine regulations, today the port continues to exist as a marina. But back to the history, the inhabitants of Minehead looked at the railway that ended in Watchet and wanted the railway to come to their town and they got their wish in 1874 when the line was extended to Minehead, this explains why the station building at Watchet is at a right angle to the station platform rather than parallel to it. In 1876 the Bristol and Exeter Railway became part of the Great Western Railway and in 1882 the line was converted from broad gauge to standard gauge. Williton station, one of the passing points, still has evidence of its broad gauge origins in the large space between the platforms it also has an original Bristol and Exeter Railway signal box. From the 1930s to the 1960s Minehead became a popular tourist destination and attracted thousands of holiday makers each year a so unlike many branch lines the station at Minehead can take a 12 coach train. But the line was included in the infamous Beeching Report as one that could be closed and even the opening of a Butlins Holiday camp in 1962 wasn't enough to save the railway and the last train ran in January 1971. But that wasn't the end of the railway. In February 1971 a group of local business men investigated the idea of acquiring the line and running it as a private all year round commuter service to Taunton, for various reasons this plan didn't happen and today the line operates as a heritage steam railway, which is where we came in at the start of this blog entry. The railway today runs from Bishops Lydeard, near Taunton, to the coast at Minehead and at 20 miles is England's longest Heritage railway and has 10 stations along its route, it is regarded as one of the country's premier heritage railways it still has a connection to the main line and on occasion special charter railtour trains, sometimes steam hauled, arrive at Minehead from places like London Paddington. I had a really enjoyable 4 days on the railway and the weather was warm and sunny which made waiting around between trains very pleasant. I took a huge number of photographs, some of which are below. When you look at these photos remember that all of the locomotives in them were rescued from a scrap yard as rusting heaps and have been beautifully restored to working order by their owners. The demonstration goods train arriving at Blue Anchor station behind heavy freight locomotive no. 2807. Built in 1905 the loco is the oldest surviving working GWR loco. A train in the landscape. A passenger train on its way from Dunster to Blue Anchor. A beautifully restored GWR Manor class locomotive no.7812 Erlestoke Manor departing from Crowcombe Heathfield station Two trains passing at Williton. Note the wide gap between the two tracks as a result of the station being built as a broad gauge station. GWR Saint class loco no.2999 Lady of Legend (running as 2986 Robin Hood for the gala) passing through Stogumber station. The area on the right was once the goods yard but is now a beautifully kept garden and picnic site, and a nice place to just sit and enjoy watching the trains go by. 2807 on the turntable at Minehead station. This is how you turn 76 tons of steam loco round so its facing the right way for the return journey, and yes, the crew push it round by hand! Thank you for reading this blog entry, I hope you found it interesting and informative.2 points

I'M NEVER DOING IT AGAIN AAAAAAAHHHHH LOL Tbh though it was fun ~ I have done it once before and said I was never doing it again and then here I was yesterday somehow doing it again and I gotta say it was not any better than the 1st time @.@ But it is kinda fun too. I was feeling spontaneous so I decided why the heck not? Yesterday was a nice day though ~ I got to see some of my family, cousins and aunts that live in KY and we went out for a nice dinner. Then yeah like Pessi said we went to go see my great aunts farm house. They have just sold it and it's in the process of closing so we all kinda went to say goodbye to it. I think my great aunt owned it for like 60 something years so it's a place all of us have been to as kids and have memories there so it was a little sad. Her kids all have their own houses though and no one really wanted to deal with the upkeep of the farm anymore so it was better for them to sell it. Someone else will hopefully create new memories there. The drive out was fun too! We stopped by the river and went to my cousins friend's farm and I got a lot of beautiful pictures because it was a gorgeous day! I'll put those in a blog entry later ^^ Tonight I'm going to WWE with @Zeref and I'm hyped about that too : D2 points

Most heritage railways can't turn their locos so they have to run backwards for the return journey. The WSR is unique in that it can turn locos at both ends of the line, but they only do this at galas and on non-gala days they don't turn the locos.2 points

Same here except he ran off pretty quickly and we wanted to go and not hang around and wait for the cops lol I flew back home to KY this morning which luckily is a really short plane ride and didn't take long at all to get here. I'm weird and like being in airports so I enjoyed my hour I was waiting for my plane. O'hare is like a mega huge airport so after finding my gate there was a lot of shops to look at until it was time to board. I know O'hare is one of those airports people dread because it's so huge but I've been through it so many times now I pretty much know my way around. There's a saying in Chicago though about O'hare which is "In Chicago we don't say "I love you" we say "I'll pick you up from O'hare" XD I'm home now and the first thing I did (other than hugging Pessi ofc) was jump in my bed lmao Not to sleep, I just missed it. I don't feel tired at all so we are going out for a drive towards Lexington (I think) to some restuarant which I forget the name of but @Zeref knows o_o It's supposed to be really good but it's like an hourish or so away so that's where I'm about to leave for~!1 point

I guess this is more of a "what did you do in gaming this week" post lol ~ I've had such a fun time on OSRS this past week playing with some clan friends, doing slayer, playing with my dad and @Eris & @Zeref too ^^ So here's some screenshots of my RS accomplishments and cool stuffs that happened from the week I hit 2100 total level which is awesome!!! I'm literally so proud of this I did a ton of slayer this week and I got my first Abby Spectre superior foe and my first Kurask superior foe + I got my first gargoyle task and my first gargoyle superior foe the marble gargoyle. These are basically super hard boss versions of the regular monster that can randomly appear when you kill one of the regular monsters. They have high levels/insane hp/hit very hard. I got some pretty cool drops. The 2 major ones are collection log items. The granite maul and the leaf bladed sword. And lastly, I'm kinda proud of my current slayer streak ~ 120 tasks in a row. Also had this little contest between myself, my dad, and @Eris for who could land the hardest hit when we were all doing a slayer task together lol @Eris won with 44 but I got close with a 41 :c My dad got a 39.1 point

One of my special talents is singing. I've been involved in theater since I was young and I've been in multiple theater productions including ones that have traveled across the US with the Mean Girls production and ones that have been at the Chicago Theater! (I was really proud of that). I'm also proficient in ASL.1 point

I mostly read x reader fanfics too with whatever character I'm in love with that week lol ~ Speaking of the smut though me and my sister have this super weird tradition when we would stay at each others houses for the night ~ we would find a short fanfic to read outloud before bed but it would have to be the most UNHINGED one we could possibly find lmfaofao like the most traumatizing one I think was Shrek x Veggie Tales x Paul Blart Mall Cop x Aerosmith or something LOLLLL I dunno how this started but we'd be laughing so hard we'd be crying XD I don't read much smut anymore myself but I'm not even gonna lie I be listening to those you x character ASMR's or Imagines on YT occassionally before bed >_> It seems easier than reading lately too lol1 point
