  1. My usual, play with the seals all day thing. One kept splashing me today demanding fish lol (yeah ofc I gave in and was giving the lil guy extra fish, he knows how to play me e.e) Besides, everyone/thing needs extra treaties sometimes ~ When I got home I mostly spammed @Jellal on Discord, talked to him on the phone until he fell asleep, then stayed on the phone until he woke back up like 45 minutes later disoriented LOL I mostly played some games this evening and oh yes, annoyed @Zeref in his room while he was trying to play games Prolly just gonna go to bed soon now.

  2. I had a weird day (⌒_⌒) I was flying kites in the park with my youngest sister this morning because that's what she wanted to do and in the afternoon around noon I have been helping my brother fix his car even though I don't know how to fix cars he was trying to show me what to do. It's been very hot today and I haven't wanted to be outside but I keep getting dragged back out there by siblings (x_x)⌒

  3. Bodium Castle is an impressive fortress, built in 1385 by Sir Edward Dalyngrigge, a former knight of Edward III, with the permission of Richard II. The castle has no keep and all the rooms and chambers are built around the outer defensive wall. This was characteristic of castle architecture in the 14th century. Sadly, while the exterior of the castle has survived largely intact the interior has not, although enough of the walls and foundations survive to allow some reasonably educated guesses about the interior layout. The castle has a round tower at each corner and a square tower in the centre of each wall, two of these towers contain the entrances. The castle is surrounded by a huge moat that gives the impression that the castle is standing in the centre of a lake rather than surrounded by a moat. Access to the main gatehouse was via a small octagonal island in the middle of the moat connected by bridges, one of which may have been a drawbridge. The gatehouse itself comprises two imposing towers and had three portcullises. Today the castle is accessed by a bridge going strait to the central island but the original access route was via a bridge set at 90 degrees to the castle entrance making it hard for an enemy force to charge the main gatehouse. The access to the postern gate was a much simpler affair with little defensive capability. However the postern was very low and narrow and the gatehouse featured murder holes in its ceiling. Viewed from the edge of the moat the castle has all the appearance of an impressive and powerful fortress but it is questionable if it was really intended to be a fortress. The outer wall has some quite large windows in it which are certainly weak points in its defensive capabilities. Indeed it has been questioned if this was really a fortified manor house designed to impress visitors rather than a castle because despite it's three portcullises and murder holes in the ceiling of the gatehouse the arrow slits in the upper levels are unsuitable for this purpose and some military historians have raised questions about the design of the the crenelations and suggest that they may have been purely decorative. However, the castle was involved in two conflicts. In 1483 during the wars of the Roses it was placed under siege by Richard III's forces and surrendered. During the English Civil War the castle was attacked by the Parliamentary forces and following its capture the castle was slighted, meaning that it was deliberately damaged so it could not be used as a fortress this involved destroying the interior buildings and bridges. It has also been said that the moat could be drained fairly quickly by any attacking forces. The castle's 28 garderobes (toilets) discharged into the moat, so the castle was effectively surrounded by an open sewer so even if the attackers drained the moat it would not have been a pleasant area to cross. But whatever your opinion of its defensive capabilities, when viewed from a distance it presents the perfect image of a powerful fortress set in the middle of a lake and the very essence of what a mediaeval castle should look like. Which is why it appears on the covers of so many books about castles. Today the castle is owned by the National Trust and is a protected Grade I listed building and Scheduled Monument. The main gatehouse and a classic image of an English castle surrounded by a moat. The postern gate, more a sort of tradesman's entrance. It was too narrow for a cart to pass though and too low for a horse and rider to pass through. It has been suggested that in the 14th century it was intended as the servants and tradesmen’s entrance. Another view of the heavily fortified main gatehouse and all that's left of the building on the central island. A view of the main gatehouse and one of the side walls. One of the side walls of the castle, the large windows were a weak point in its defences. The interior of the castle was destroyed after it fell to the Parliamentary forces during the English Civil War. The various doorway openings in the wall give an hint of the upper floors of the castle. Another interior view showing the locations of doors and fireplaces in the upper floors. I hope you enjoyed reading my blog and found it interesting.

  6. Yeahhhhhhhh omGGG I'M STILL SCARED ~ SO I dunno if this is some kinda paranormal event or not but some weird things have been going on in my house. Things like randomly fall off shelves by themselves (I'm talking things that are pushed back all the way on a shelf and no way they could throw themselves off the shelf), I'll be sitting at the computer late at night and hear something behind me and the curtains/blinds will be moving on their own. This always happens right after I feel like air brush by me as if someone walked by and I smell a strong perfume o_o The tablecloth also likes to blow around by itself sometimes. We've checked, there's no vents, drafts, nothing like that in the room that could be causing it. I don't feel like it's malicious though so I pretty much just ignore it after looking around. BUT last night I woke up to SINGING in my room. I dunno how my Alexa got activated but it was 3:33 in the morning and my Alexa was just singing for no reason and I woke up scared to death LOL I mean, there are a lot of ghost stories around this building since it's fairly old AND it's sitting in the middle of Old Louisville which is considered extremely haunted and has a billion ghost stories surrounding it @.@ In fact if you search "what is the most haunted neighborhood in america" this comes up > Old Louisville, Kentucky, is often cited as one of the most haunted neighborhoods in America, particularly for its Victorian-era mansions and rich history. Stories of paranormal activity, including ghostly encounters and eerie legends, have solidified its reputation as a spooky and fascinating place. And here I sit right at its backyard LOL

  17. LMFAO I’M SORRY THAT’S SCARY BUT IT’S ALSO SO FRICKEN FUNNY We used to have one of those Google dots or whatever it was called and we had set the voice to be a man’s. We got woken up in the middle of the night one night because it decided to announce, at FULL VOLUME, FOR NO REASON, “THE NEAREST PUBLIC WASHROOM IS AT [proceeds to read an address nearby]” We got rid of it not long after that hahaha

  22. I've wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl. My grandmother taught for many years before retiring and my mom is also a teacher. Also, I want to help mold the minds of those who will be our future. Now for your second question. Hmm....that's a tough one. I suppose I could teach either. I want to get certified in the higher grades though. Some of my favorite teachers were from when I was in junior high and high school so I would prefer to teach teenagers. But if I'm needed in the lower grades, I'll get certified to teach young children. I really am open to either.

  28. Quality isn’t great but here’s Sailor Jupiter in 18 different outfits. I was going to use them to create some kind of signature for myself here, but I didn’t realize until the very end that I had my canvas settings totally wrong in Procreate and now if I try to resize them they look terrible. I don’t feel like redoing them, so I may as well share what I have anyway

  31. Another chill day at work! We had someone new start with us today, I think she’s going to be great honestly. The bus ride home was also pretty quiet today too because all the kids/teens are on summer vacation now until September. Put on a load of laundry when I got home and then threw on some tunes and folded the already clean laundry. Haven’t put it away yet, but I’ll get there eventually ahaha. hmm, what’s next? Maybe I should pretend to be Cypress Hill

  32. It's ok though. The Wonkavator can land safely. In fact, in the second book it not only landed, took on a whole family (including a bed), and then took off again, it even got to orbit and docked with a space station! I'd be more concerned about the Vermicious Knids. I heard about that. I might be interested in taking the tour but I also heard the area was occasionally menaced by low-flying pigs.

  37. I decided that 2015 "silver dollar" that I posted before was a bit boring so I swapped it for a real 1887 Morgan dollar. The 2015 coin had a full ounce of silver in it while Morgans only have .77oz silver so strictly in terms of metal content I traded down. However, Morgans were what was actually in circulation as currency in 1887. In 1887 Gustave Eiffel was just starting to build his tower over in France, patents for celluloid photographic film and elevators were filed, and the 1st transcontinental train arrived in Vancouver, British Columbia. 1887 was right in the middle of the period of westward expansion and colonization of the American "frontier". The US Civil War was a couple decades in the past while the first World War was still several decades in the future. Wikipedia says, "This period includes historical events synonymous with the archetypical Old West or "Wild West" such as violent conflict arising from encroaching settlement into frontier land, the removal and assimilation of natives, consolidation of property to large corporations and government, vigilantism, and the attempted enforcement of laws upon outlaws." People like 'Doc' Holiday and Wyatt Earp most certainly carried coins just like this in their pockets, and won and lost them in poker games in places like Tombstone, AZ. I think I got the better deal out of this trade. This one is much more interesting.

Being graduated from high school is weird because last night I went to bed at 11, and then I woke up at 11 in the morning lol. I have so much free time too! I've recently been getting back into osu, which is a three month phase I have every year or so,

  44. ME2 isn't as bad as it seems with quest helper but SOTE will be a bit annoying. Only because it's long. The final boss fight is something of an annoyance since when she uses her spec attack she will hit you for 98 damage every time. Since you have 99 magic you'll hit her well enough with full ancestral because she's weak to magic. She has 3 phases, first will be 1000hp, 2nd 666hp, 3rd 333hp. I'll walk you through it and tell you what to do but keep in mind you'll still probably die the first or second attempts.

  46. I love Pocky and something similar can sometimes be found in my local supermarket under a different name. But they only do one flavour, milk chocolate, which I don't really like. I much preferred the dark chocolate and strawberry flavours. I used to know a Japanese bookshop/cafe in London which sold it, but it closed down.
