Animé LA in Long Beach has got to be straight vibes. It sounds pretty cool

Unfortunately not a lot, we only get comic con once a year :((

There's a big one here that I'm going to near my house soon ~ that's the only one I know of so far though I'm trying to go to anime MidWest this year but since I'm going on a cross country road trip with Zari over the Summer, I don't know if we'll be in the area at the time of it.

For me, the options are Rhode Island Anime Con or Anime Boston. I'm getting old, but I'd still like to go to both this year! Though if I can't find someone to drag along, I'll probably not go to AB

I've noticed that lot's of minors especially the teenage girl demographic have been complaining about characters such as Super Sonico being sexualized. It's very frustrating because they are choosing to consume adult media but are complaining because its mature content. Not everything is going to be sfw and safe for younger kids, adults have their own spaces and media as well and people need to stop complaining about something being nsfw when they are WILLINGLY choosing to purchase merch and such of it. There are so many sfw options, and yet they choose nsfw. I've seen videos of adults posting their nsfw figures and there4s people saying "goober figure" "ew who would want this" and overall making it seem weird. ITS FOR ADULTS. NOT CHILDREN!!!

I live in Texas and we have a ton of anime cons. Which is good, since it's so spread out. My favs are San Japan, Anime Frontier, and Weebcon. I used to list Animefest and A-kon on that list until they died, RIP. Lots of other cons though. Anime North Texas is still struggling along, there are a number of cons that start with 'anime+city-name' even though they're not all affiliated (Anime Dallas, Anime Tyler, Anime Texas, etc). Ikkicon and Ushicon I used to go to and they're still around, too, I just can't make it out to them anymore due to time of year. I'm going to one called Otaku Odyssey next May. Anime Impulse is not a Texas con but they held a show here last weekend, too.

There was Louisville Anime-Fest today not far from us that @Sakura and I went to. We didn't stay long and neither of us thought it was very good. The booths didn't have a lot of anything that interest us or good merch and no good panels going on or voice actors to meet. We ended up to leave after only around an hour.

We just had anime Midwest here where I live. It's always held in Rosemont which is not far from where I live but I didn't go this year because I've had bad experiences there before. There's another con coming in August I'm going to.

Has anyone ever watched Elfen Lied? Red hair girl named Lucy who is psychic and has horns on her head? Kills people for fun? This is probably one of the most violent anime shows I've ever seen with tons of nudity. Its a fun watch. Just wondering if anyone else has watched it.
