  1. Which days are the strongest? Saturday and Sunday. The rest are weekdays. Did you hear about the guy who was afraid of hurdles? He got over it.

  3. I have an eclipse joke... but it gets kind of dark. Why are so many people talking about the eclipse? Probably because it's significance is astronomical. Why did the moon feel guilty after the solar eclipse? It thought it might have thrown some shade! How does the man in the moon cut his hair? Eclipse it.

  5. Saw the rocket trail from yesterdays F9/Starlink launch when I went to move my car. They’re doing a lot more Starlink launches from Vandenberg these days. Probably filling in the more polar orbit slots.

  6. I know Harvest Moon! I have some time the next upcoming week to play a new game so I am going to check into it. Oh wow the trailer of this Cities: Skylines game looks amazing. Much different than the little phone games I usually play I really want to look that up now ~! Oh nice, I prefer a lot of anime games so that might be pretty neat

  8. Every morning I announce to my family that I’m going jogging but then I don’t go… it’s a running joke. I have a joke about a broken clock but it’s not the right time. I have another one about chemistry but I don’t think it’ll get a reaction. So I'll just leave you with the observation that geology rocks but geography is where it’s at.

  13. Hi. I'm a simple girl. I like cute girls. I like anime with a large cast of cute girls, bonus if they have magic powers. I love goblins. I love tribalism. Any work that has characters running around in a loincloth and shooting a bow has my immediate attention. I also like to write stories and fanfiction and I saw you guys had a writer's section. Figured this would be as good a place as any to get started. I don't do drama. I don't do politics. While I have a passing interest in Neo-Pagan and Wiccan beliefs, I don't believe in the supernatural. I just find the subjects fascinating. I look forward to talking to you all, and sharing my work!

  14. Why do people wear shamrocks on St. Patrick's Day? Regular rocks are too heavy. Why can't you borrow money from a leprechaun? Because they're always a little short.

  18. I know I am well LATE to this forum, but had to voice my opinions. I feel like the TYPE of each is important, for example there are many cat-girls whom I wouldn't pick over a fox-girl any day of the week, however Omamori Himari's female lead Himari is a Bakeneko (Monster/Demon Cat) and is absolutely stunning with her samurai-style servitude and yet still extremely seductive towards her master with just the right amount of Nyaa~'s. Meanwhile my preferred type of Fox-Girl only has so very few animated characters whom I would actually go for; Tenko Kuugen, Konohana-Tei girls, Hagoromo Gitsune, to name some of the few, as opposed to the plethora of animated cat-girls. I do however love many Fox-Girls who appear in various un-animated manga such as Yuki from Tamayura Kitsune, who is a fox granted human form by the god whom she serves as a shrine-maiden (Fox-Girls make the best shrine maidens). Honestly have very little interest in Dog-Girls, of course if you count wolves then Holo the Wise Wolf (Spice and Wolf) is hands down the greatest animal eared girl in history (first animal eared waifu), though her appearance and actions are so fox-like that it irritates me that she is said to be a wolf. However there is one dog-girl I have found in the past year of two that has been deemed waifu material and that is Wereanna from Kamitachi Ni Hirowareta Otoko (at least the manga) as she is fiercely loyal and beautiful, of course her wolf-like feeling helps earn her points. Similarly there are many Sub-Categories such as cats > big cat - girls, such as tiger girls or what have you that have a strong appeal. In the end it really comes down to individual characters traits for me, but I do admittedly lean towards Fox-Girls (Kitsune), the only outliers that could convince me otherwise are samurai cat-girl Himari and Wise Wolf-girl Holo. (Unsurprisingly all of my favourite of each are yokai/demons/spirits, which is where I spent my early anime days)

  26. Saw at the cinema today Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out - the 2nd sequel film to the Bunnygirl-senpai tv series, with the focus on Kaede’s struggle to overcome the extreme social anxiety which previously led to her living as a hikikomori for 2 years. Very emotional with a strong advocacy of alternative educational methods & learning/finding acceptance for being different (not “normal”). Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid - the 3rd film , focusing on an unexpected “complication” of the Azusagawa family trying to reconcile & overcome the mutual trauma that resulted in the parents & children living separately. Also greater focus on Sakuta & Mai’s deepening relationship as they get closer to leaving high school & becoming young adults. This one hit me on a much more personal level emotionally & actually made me tear up. Added to my list of all-time favorite anime movies. Both movies were very emotional, while also having the humorous (and in the case of Sakuta/Mai, flirtatious) verbal sparring the franchise is known for. I wasn’t initially a fan, but the deeper I get into it, the more appealing I find it. Definitely recommended for fans of Haruhi Suzimiya (personally I like it better). The one major complaint is that you need to have seen the previous material to keep up with the story. Which is further complicated by the fact that none of the movies are currently streaming legally in the US. This theatrical double feature was extremely limited (one day only for the sub version & dub version the next day only). And the blu ray of the first movie is priced at a premium. And it will only get more difficult for newcomers since the after credit scene revealed that a new animated entry has been green-lit (no word on if it will be a 4th movie or a 2nd season).

  33. Akudama Drive - dystopian/cyberpunk adventure, female protagonist. Kind of a spoiler, but several characters don’t survive (kind of like Edgerunners) Lycoris Recoil - girls with guns action, some slice of life & humor. Bluray collection is awfully expensive though. Expelled from Paradise - futuristic cyberpunk movie. Claymore - dark fantasy, swordswoman Deca-Dence - post apocalyptic future, kaiju. Kinda cyberpunk. ID: Invaded - cyberpunk, detectives vs serial killers Iria Zeiram: The Animation - retro anime, futuristic female bounty hunter. 6 episode OVA Solty Rei - cyberpunk, bounty hunters Moribito Guardian of the Spirit - female warrior/bodyguard

  36. As my own way of making a tribute project to Akira Toriyama in light of his passing away, I made a set using Android 17 and Android 18. The reasons I hold those two characters in such high regard is because they remind me of how my big sister and I cared about each other and how close we were. It felt like it was us two against the world most of the time. So, as a tribute to the late Akira Toriyama, here is my new set: Avatar: Signature:

  37. I've just finished rewatching Higehiro. This is an excellent, and serious, story of a 17 year old girl who witnessed a tragic event at school that has a devastating effect on her and when she receives no support from mother, who is more concerned about the family's good name than the wellbeing of her daughter, she runs away from home. Eventually she ends up staying with a 26 year old man and as a result of the support she receives from him and a girl her own age that she meets while working at convenience store she realises that she can't keep running for ever and slowly gains the courage to return home and face the situation she ran away from.

  42. I don't even use normal dating apps, so I have to be honest, I probably wouldn't use an anime one either lol ~ but for people that do like to use dating apps it might be nice to have something where you already know you have something in common and it would be easy to find someone that you have that in common with I guess.

  45. By the time I was 7 or 8 I had a fairly good suspicion that Santa didn't really exist. What confirmed my suspicion was one Christmas Day when the whole family was at my grand parent's house and my father said he had to go out somewhere* and about half an hour later Santa arrived on the doorstep. The red suit and plastic facemask didn't fool me for a moment, my two younger cousins were fooled though. * this was so obviously false, back then nothing, absolutely nothing, was open on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, so there was nowhere for my father to go.
