With the current temperature here a big mug of hot chocolate sounds a lot better.

It's currently sunny, but cold at -2.5C and not expected to rise much above 1C today.

I've just finished watching the first season of Fruits Basket and I'm not really sure what to make of it. The seemingly endless new characters that appear who change into so sort of anime got rather tedious and repetitive during the first half. The series seems a bit uneven with some episodes being totally off the wall mad cartoon violence and some being very serious. I've almost hit the stop button a few times because the action was getting very silly and annoying, but I haven't, .... yet. I'm now going to start the second season and see how it turns out.

I've seen some pictures in the newspapers and saw some video footage of the various wildfires on the TV news and it's quite horrifying to see the level of destruction. What's even more worrying is that the fire services are overwhelmed by the scale of the fires. I hope you stay safe and that the fires don't reach where you are.

It is a bit strange isn't it. I have to say that I wonder about the mental state of the creator of such a creature.

It's bright and sunny. But it's still very cold outside at -1C all the cars in my road and my lawn are white with frost. I'm glad I don't have to go out today.

People panic buying is a problem. During the covid lockdowns my local supermarket imposed limits on how many of some products people could buy at a time in an attempt to keep stock on the shelves.

I don't have the courage to clean out any of my closets, I know I'll regret it if I try. --- Today I attended my friend Bryan's funeral. Funerals aren't the happiest of things to attend, but this one was more a thanksgiving and commemoration of of a life well lived.

That's some stunningly brilliant artwork. They're both excellent, but the second one is my favourite.
