That was an interesting read. If that many new creatures can be found at the depths that human and robotic vehicles can reach just think what might be at depths where the water pressure is too great for us and our remotes to reach.

I think that part of the problem is that people these days have short attention spans, witness the growing popularity of the 'short form' videos that are filmed in portrait mode. So reading a forum post and taking the time to make a sensible and constructive reply is just too much effort for them.
