I started watching Chihayafuru series 3 this evening, so far it's off to an excellent start.

I finished Chihayafuru series 2 this evening. The first series set a high bar, but series 2 cleared it. The storyline and character development continue at a high level with more focus on the characters, their motivations and interactions with each other for the first part of the series with the actual games taking more of a background role. As the final games approach the game play becomes more centre stage, but the story is still about the characters and with a combination of excellent animation and brilliant music I was really on the edge of my seat waiting to see who would take which card and who would win the match. Overall another highly entertaining series that kept my interest throughout.

I'm very definitely a warm weather person. It's very easy to get bored this time of year because nothing much happens.

It's very good. You won't regret watching it. It's available on CR too.

I see that Cardcaptor Sakura is getting a Blu-ray release in the UK this month, all 70 episodes of it, in two sets. And yes, I've already ordered my copy of the first set. Set 1. episodes 1-35 due out 20th February. Set 2. episodes 36-70 due out 20th March.

Cloudy, and a bit dull but at least it's not raining and it's 8C so it's getting a bit warmer. (not warm enough though).

Not quite. I know a few people who still have Windows 7 and have no intention of changing to Windows 10. Actually, most of them wouldn't know how to change their computer's OS and some don't even know how to use the file manager.

I'd like to know that as well. It was quite good, for February, yesterday and over the weekend but this morning it was freezing cold and so misty that I had to have my car's fog lamps on when I went out to do my weekly shopping trip.

This morning it's very dull, misty and cold. There's a lot of frost covered cars out there.

OK, so I've now started watching series 2 of Chihayafuru. So far it looks good, but I'll see how the story progresses, the first series set the bar quite high.

The Sun is just rising in a clear blue sky on what looks like being a bright, sunny but cold day.

I've now finished watching the first season of Chihayafuru. I wasn't sure what to expect from this series, after all it's about a group of people who play Karuta, a popular card game in Japan but almost unknown in the west. The artwork and animation for this series is really good, but what really makes this series stand out is the characters, each has a different personality and different reasons for playing the game and as the story unfolds we see them practising among themselves and competing in tournaments, we see their joy and elation at winning and the depths of their despair when they lose. Add in the excellent background music and what you have is a brilliant series that is both highly watchable and entertaining.

This is true, and I'm glad I lived through the excitement of the Apollo era and was able to watch each of the missions as they happened. Sitting with my parents in our living room in the early hours of the morning to watch the Apollo 11 moon landing is something I'll remember for the rest of my life.
