This evening I finished watching Kaina of the Great Snow Sea, and to be honest I found the ending a bit unsatisfactory. Up until the last few minutes of episode 11 it was an excellent story, but then they rushed the ending. Eleven episodes seems a strange number and I wonder if it was intended to be 12 episodes, there certainly looked like there was plenty of material in those last couple of minutes to make a 12th episode to give the series a proper ending. I wonder if they just ran out of money and had to pull the key points of the originally planned ending into the closing minutes of the 11th episode, it certainly seemed that way. Throughout the preceding 10.5 episodes the story was well paced so it was very odd that they crammed the closure into the final few minutes.

A long time ago now my friend and I used to regularly go to Minamicon at the Novotel in Southampton. We were only able to go as day visitors so we missed out on the evening activities but we always had a good time there.

I've started watching Kaina of the Great Snow Sea. It's an interesting and intriguing series set in an alien world. The background scenery is an impressive piece of world building.

Today I finished watching Clannad After Story and found it to be still as good as it was when I first watched it. However, I now have wet handkerchiefs (again!).

I've only seen YouTube clips from the recent crop of isekai anime, but why do they all appear to be set in a video game based on the Middle Ages? It wasn't always like that, Vision of Escaflowne, Magic Knight Rayearth and Fushigi Yugi are all very different from each other. Although they're all quite old now and come from the time before isekai was called isekai.

Today I finished Clannad and started on Clannad After Story. Both parts are one of those series that have you laughing one minute and crying the next.

Looks a nice powerful machine. But a bit light on RAM and storage.

Sometimes I think we are, other times I'm not so sure.
