  1. I have the opposite problem. Most of my fictional crushes are young ladies that are way to young for me ( for most of them I could be their grandfather! ) I don't steal food from the pantry either, but then I live on my own so all the food is mine!
  2. I've not seen anyone "looked down upon" for what they post or what anime they watch. The rule pretty much seems to be "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything". So post away happily and remember that if someone does make a nasty comment it's their problem not yours so ignore it and move on.
  3. Early in the series Yui was discussing joining the Light Music Club with some of her friends, perhaps that's one of them spying on Yui to see if she really will join up. Just my guess, which could be wrong.
  4. Welcome aboard, make yourself at home.
  5. Here's the Escaflowne with Hitomi Kanzaki and Van Fanel
  6. I have the entire Pioneer uncut sub only release and like you and while I thought Clear Card was good I wasn't as enamoured with it as I was the original. Of course if they ever do decide to continue the series I'll buy it.
  7. Everyone's favourite Magical Girl Sakura Kinomoto
  8. 1829, the Railway Game. The game is played on map of Southern England and Wales which is divided into a hexagonal grid. It's a complex game but the basic idea is that players become directors of railway companies, lay track, buy trains, run a service and collect fares. The money raised can either be kept by the director or paid as dividend to any of the other players who have shares in the company. The choice affects the company's share price. Actually the game play is much more complicated than that, and you never really know who has won until the end after everyone has added up the value of the shares they own and the cash they have. I haven't played it for decades mainly because the people I played it with have moved away and none of us really have time to spend up to 10 hours playing a board game.
  9. Here's couple of figures from my collection. Chise (Saikano) and Miyako Miyamura (ef: A Tale of Memories)
  10. Adding photos/images is easy, when you know how. Click on the "choose files" option it'll open a directory window on your PC and then all you need to do is navigate to where the image you want to add is and double-click on it.
  11. I've installed a new graphics card in my PC, but this time I didn't follow the instructions that came with it and go to the manufacturers website to download the drivers I did that last time and driver install messed up the screen resolution and scattered all my icons randomly around the screen. It took ages to sort the mess out. 😡

This time I just told the PC to update the drivers and it went to Microsoft Update found and installed the correct driver with no messing about. 😀

Did it have an Nvidia or an AMD GPU chip? Generally it is said that Nvidia/G-Force plays nice with Windows out of the box and that AMD/ ATI Radeon GPU chips play nice with non-Windows systems. That's a little rule of thumb about choosing the right one for your hardware.

      It's an Nvidia Geforce GPU.

  12. Yes, but just some stuff I shot on a couple of heritage steam railways while on holiday, so not Hollywood blockbusters.
  13. I'm currently slowly working my way through the Muvipics Guide to Adobe Premiere Elements.
  14. In a box somewhere in my loft I've got a load of those magazines.
  15. I agree, Fushigi Yuugi has a great story and characters. The thing that always puzzles me is how I missed the obvious spoiler in the opening sequence. Clannad, especially After Story, has a reputation for making people cry their eyes out, and that only happens because the story is so well told that we actually care what happens to the characters. I've watched both Fushigi Yuugi and Clannad more times than I can remember. I bought both when they first came out, and that's a long time ago.
  16. From that list I've seen: Clannad: Along with Clannad After Story this has been my no.1 favourite anime series for several years, and I watch them at least once a year. It's such a great story and it has a really excellent soundtrack. Fushigi Yugi (The Mysterious Play): This used to be my favourite series until Clannad came along. It's got a good story and a good soundtrack. Pretear: I found this a curious little series, but good fun to watch. Toradora: I have mixed feelings about this one. I think they overplayed the "palm top tiger" bit and I thought the storyline a bit uneven. But for all that I found it a pretty decent series.
  17. So am I, mainly because I don't have access to any streaming services and so have to wait for series to come out on DVD or Blu-Ray.
  18. You can't beat books, apps and websites are OK, but books are better.
