  1. I'm sorry to hear that things still aren't right for you and that your medication is causing you even more problems, I hope that when you visit the doctor he can give you some new stuff that won't slow your heart rate and leave you feeling tired all the time. It sucks that with your family doctor away you've got to wait to find out about the hyperthyroidism and hopefully get some treatment for it. I watched some Fairy Tail recently, around ep 167 ish the wizard games and the time portal that all the dragons came out of. While it's not really the sort of series I like or watch I did quite enjoy watching it and can see why it's so popular.
  2. Congrats for getting your driver's licence, but sorry to hear about the split with your BF. I hope the new job works out fine for you.
  3. I can understand your not wanting to do drawing as a job, I really like taking photos but I'm sure that if it became my job I'd come to dislike it. Turning your hobby into your job works for some people, but not for everyone. Astronomy is an interesting subject. I was really into it when I was younger, but I live in a very built up area and so there's a lot of light pollution, also with all the houses around me my local horizon is rather high. There is a local park nearby, which is really dark, but I'm not sure if it's open at night and anyway it's not a good or safe place to be at night. So I slowly lost my enthusiasm for astronomy, but I still watch astronomy programmes on TV, have all my books and still like looking up at the stars on clear nights when I 'm on holiday. I wish you well in your new direction in life and I'm sure you'll do well because I know you have a lot of determination.
  4. I'm sorry to hear that you can't have the full dose of your medicine, but there are situations where medicines, while helpful, have side-effects that are not good. It's also a sad fact that sometimes doctors take a while to find out what is causing an illnesses and decide on a course of treatment. For the stress thing, and don't laugh at this, studies have shown that having a stuffed animal of some sort can often relieve stress. It's something to do with the benefits of having some real object that you can hug. So go find a lil stuffed animal critter that you like the look of and give it a try. What have you got to lose?
  5. A beautiful film with a wonderful story. I've watched it twice. The ending broke my heart both times.
  6. No, because the old ones are often the best ones
  7. Welcome to the Forum Vaines.
  8. I pottered around the house and did a few odd jobs. I was going to go out, but it was raining so I decided to stay in.
  9. I've just finished watching heroines Run The Show, an interesting little Slice of Life series.
  10. I'm in the UK and have lived here all my life.
  11. Welcome to the Forum Amoongus.
  12. That's an impressive haul of fish. Some look quite cute, others look rather dangerous.
  13. I've seen Ordinal Scale as well, it struck me as being quite different to series 1 but still a good movie to watch. It's a funny thing about SAO, it's not really sort of series that I like and usually watch. When it first came out all the trailers showed the battles and made the series look seriously violent so I didn't pay any attention to it. Then a few years later people started posting clips of what might be called the more "slice of life" parts of the series and that sort of got me interested. Then I found out it was on CR and as I had a subscription I thought I might as well give it a try.
  14. I've watched the first series and thought the first arc, eps 1-14 were the best part. I didn't think much of the second arc. I've never got round to watching series 2, but I have watched Alicization, it's interesting but rather long. The other two movies "Aria of Sleepless Night" and "Aria of Deep Night" are really good as well.
  15. I'm glad to hear that you're feeling better than you did, mums can be annoying people but they can often be a great help. I'm also pleased to hear that the medication is starting to work, medication can sometimes take a while before they really get to work. I hope and pray that things will continue to improve for you.
  16. I went to church this morning then went to a local restaurant for lunch with a group of my friends. As we're almost all single and live on our own it's really nice to eat out together once a month.
  17. I'm currently working my way through Summer Pockets which is another anime adaptation of a Key/Visual Arts Graphic Novel, and it's obvious that this one is not being done by Kyoto Animation as it lacks the style and direction of series like Kanon and Clannad. I think that most of the story arcs are supposed to end in a tearjerker but the arcs are quite short so we don't really get to know the characters well enough to really care about them.
  18. With so many anime available these days and in so may genres it's very hard to pick one favourite. But I think I'm going to go with Clannad/Clannad After Story.
