It didn't look too good when I opened my curtains earlier this morning, but it's brightened up a lot since then.

On the subject of avatars and sig images, and for what it's worth, my avatar is 600x600 and my sig image is 1000x124. I tend to find animated avatars and sigs a bit distracting, especially if they have a lot of action or rapid changes. Personally I think the avatar you're currently using is excellent, it has just enough animation to make it interesting without being distracting.

I had great fun doing this one, but don't stare at it too long or it'll hurt your eyes.

I've just watched the Non Non Biyori Vacation movie. Great fun to watch and full of the usual cute girl craziness and subtle humour. One of the gang wins the grand prize in the supermarket's lottery (I wonder how many times that's happened in an anime series). So off they all go and have a great time together.

Nightmare

Today I finished watching the first season of Non Non Biyori, which is a series about four cute girls who live in the country and do cute things. It has no real overall story and is just a series of incidents from their lives, in short it has nothing to really commend it... ...Except that it is a brilliant series and great fun to watch. I really liked the subtle situational humour and the long pauses where the character clearly has no idea how to respond or react to a question or situation. I also liked the Russian Rice Balls gag, where you fill one rice ball with mustard and the person who gets it loses. (even better was the fact that the person who made the rice balls lost!)
