Looking out for this animated series based off the Manhua. Blades of the Guardians.

Just started Better Call Saul. I'm on the third episode. Love Odenkirk, his characters are always so interesting. Was surprised to see that Michael Mando is in this! So far I like the tone of the show. Feel for Saul.

This song reminds me of a friend that passed almost six years ago. Sometimes it feels like no one really remembers him anymore. I hate that.

Season 4 of Better Call Saul.
What would you rate the show? Recently watched Nobody (the movie) and saw it was the same actor from Better Call Saul. There's a lot of seasons so I kind of want to ask before I jump in.

Since on the topic of feedback I just want to remark on the Founder's (Optic) open line of communication. When I joined AF the site had an Edit function that made me feel a little more comfortable sharing personal interests (art, poetry, photography). I ended up uploading quite a bit of content that I could no longer edit or manage when the feature was removed. Optic was generous and understanding and was able to help me reset my account, albeit I had to wait a month to join the site again.
I'm thankful/grateful for the services provided on the Forum!

Oh that's great to hear! Cool, cool...
How THE F did Hilda only last 4 episodes?!
The coolest character on that ship AND voiced by the woman that plays "Major" in Ghost in the Shell, and she just EXPLODES IN SPACE? Not fair man...
I see the comments are working again!
It was so unexpected but kinda not. Hilda was a badass and she went out like one, like she planned to. She made enemies with pretty much everyone, it was only a matter of time. Bummer that she wasn't written to have been around longer but she was the entire catalyst of the storyline. Maybe they'll redo it one day and give her a bigger role? Just as long as it's not a live action!

Finished watching Mashiro no Oto, one of my new favorites. Looking forward to any news on a S2.
Re-watching Run with the Wind for an assessment collab, and getting back to Salaryman's Club, which I had on hold.

Was part of a charity playthrough for Ukraine and gave myself several hours to recover from My Child Lebensborn.

An option to display birthday and year would be nice.
You could pop it in your About Me but if you're worried about the ages of other members you could always ask nicely?

Currently I'm in love with the Mashiro no Oto opening.
One of my all time favorites! x3
They changed this masterpiece way too early, I'm not really feeling the second OP.

Me and my sister just started "Outlaw Star" on a whim last night and HOLY SHIT! Talk about a show with a sense of style! I can't believe I'd passed it up for so long, really feels like I'm gonna be watching all the way through this thing
I'm only 3 episodes in, what do ya'll think? Am I in for a good time?
Outlaw Star is one of my favorites! Definitely a classic.

I'm catching up to you with 166 anime titles in my PTW list.
The struggle is real.
I'm on episode 7 of Mashiro no Oto and so far it's been a complete surprise. Although I have this community to thank for picking it up in the first place.

Just started the third episode of Cike Wu Liuqi, and got inspired to watch Mashiro no Oto. Got to episode four this morning. With a new pair of headphones that make everything sound incredible, Mashiro no Oto, being of the Music genre- was a great choice to test them out on. I'm still pretty stunned at how much more emotional episode Spring Dawn was through not only storytelling but sound.

Over-the-ear, noise cancelling headphones from Bose. I tried them last night and now anime is a whole new experience. It was incredible, the sound of the ocean and wind!

Oops sorry not sure what happened to the quote.
Fixed!
It is indeed.
Kaoru and Reki are my favorite characters on the anime. I haven't really kept up on it but I hope there's a second season. No biggie on the quote mishaps, it happens!

K-On is such an adorable show, glad you had fun with it.

It sounds like a test of your strength that you passed with flying colors. Not a test I'd ever purposely give to someone but hey... results I guess? It really hurts when people start questioning who you are at your core when a relationship is at the heart of it, it feels like so much is on the line and the stress can feel towering.
I'm glad you're on the other side of your struggle, it's good to remember how things like this don't last forever and they're just a time in your life.
You really think so? Thanks for drawing the comparison to something like strength. Kind of sucks to cut free from toxic environments and feel like your 110%, 120%, 130%- etc. will never be enough for some people.
Best advice I've ever read was "Those who get upset with you for setting boundaries are those who benefitted from you not having any." I think I used to let others hold kindness hostage for a bit. Eh, live and learn.
Glad you're back on AF by the way.
Hope you have a great time here.

Glad to see all the new artists on the forum!

Yep, that right there is something I've struggled with for most of my life now. Friends or relationships, I've had issues with both where I'm often made to feel the desparate one that always has to reach out. Frankly I'm tired of that dynamic. Luckily I have friendships that dont always go that way, but when I meet new people and almost immediately get made to feel like I care way more than they do... really fucks with my head.
I'd like to feel a bit more appreciated, that's all. I'm glad you can relate... except the fact you can relate means you had to deal with a lot of hurt yourself so maybe it's not such good news
Kind of grateful that that hasn't been the case for a couple of years now but yeah, it's definitely made me cautious of new acquaintances and potential friendships. Better safe than sorry I guess.
Yeah, I learned not to make excuses or compromise beyond my capabilities.
I think being guilt-ed into doubt was my biggest hurdle out of this mentality. Naturally when you want to separate yourself from stressful situations it can be seen as running away or not putting up a fight for someone you care about. I had some people try to push guilt my way over wanting healthier connections and friendships. It was nice to break out of that cycle and learn a lot from the process.
How are you feeling right now?
