  1. I must've been around 12 or 13 when this happened, but early one morning, my brother was awakened by what he called a "blood-curdling" scream, as if someone was being murdered or something right beside him. At the time, we had our own twin beds and shared a room, and he woke me up saying, "Did you just hear that?! Someone screamed!" Confused, I told him I hadn't heard anything. I remember he was freaked out kinda badly about it. He still remembers that scream to this day. I dunno if there's any kind of rational explanation as to what my brother heard that morning, but thankfully he never heard it again. It's possible he might have been having a bad dream, and maybe he heard what he heard due to that. I've experienced hearing people I've dreamed about talking before, so I don't imagine it's impossible. 🤷‍♂️

Personally, I don't believe in ghosts, spirits, demons or god(s). I've never experienced anything paranormal in my life thus far, only heard stories from others here and there. I guess the closest thing like that for me that happened was maybe being at my home-church at night when I was a kid, when the lights had been turned off because we were about to leave... say what you will, but the atmosphere in a dark church at night is freaking creepy as hell (pun intended). Or at least that old church in my hometown sure was. Although that's not really a paranormal encounter, it's just feeling creeped out in an uncomfortable atmosphere. 😨

I think Viruxx should go check it out and come back and tell us what he found in the house it belongs to 😂

    I would.... but I don't wanna. 😱

Does that classify as a relationship with a robot or rather technology? We have finally arrived at the future?

You’re asking the wrong guy here. I wasn’t exactly curious enough to go ask the owner of that network about it. 🤣

  4. Apprehensively excited... my brother and I both have decided we're ready for a change of pace regarding making a living. So, we're gonna get the necessary steps done to ultimately put our business up on the market and sell it, preferably within the next few months. I feel a little apprehensive about it, probably because I've been in the restaurant biz for almost 10 years. Despite how much I hate it, I've become accustomed to it. But overall, I'm at peace with the decision. It's just time for something new. Don't really know what that 'new' thing will be after this yet (nor do I know how long it will take for the biz to sell), but I'll figure it out as we go.

I'm not sure if it counts as non-anime, since it's slightly similar in aesthetic, but I recently started watching Avatar the last Airbender (the cartoon), and it's got me hooked fairly quickly

I've been watching the new Shogun TV series on Hulu. It's actually a pretty good show overall, although I do have one minor caveat with it. I feel that Blackthorne and Mariko-san's relationship in the new series is a bit forced. It's almost like they're avoiding it as hard as they possibly can until just before the major event of Mariko-san's mission take place (those of you familiar with the older show or the book probably know what I'm talking about). There just doesn't seem to be much chemistry between them, IMO. Seems like in the old series from the 80s with Richard Chamberlain, they portrayed their relationship as a kind of "slow burn", and then it really took off from there a little longer before said events occurred in the storyline. Apart from that, it's still a good show worth checking out.

That's true. I feel like people in my life have always had adult expectations of me, even as a child, I never got to be a child. I was always told not to act that way or do such-and-such thing when I would get hyper/excited or just wanted to play. Then when I got in my teenager years if I did anything that wasn't just sitting down and not moving I got my favorite line of "You are almost 14, 15, 16 (whatever age I was closest too next) years old you need to act right". I feel like that took away a lot of my childhood and I could really only be a teenager / kid when outside with my friends or with friends online. So as an adult I am doing all the things I wanted to do as a child and couldn't 🤭

Physically, I'm 37, but mentally, I probably am more like 9 or 10.... or at least I try to be as often as I possibly can. xD Don't act your age, act your spirit instead.

You going to be there Monday for the eclipse?  Chicago is not quite in the path of totality but at ~95% and a 2pm maximum it's close enough for a decent viewing experience.  Weather permitting of course.

Nah, I’m going a little later in the week. I didn’t get any glasses to look at the eclipse, but the sunlight here in NC had darkened a bit for a couple of hours in the afternoon. It’s pretty much gone back to normal now, though.
