  1. Doing this yet again lol. I just randomly remembered this thread and it's been a few year now, so why not?

    Death Note, Monster, Banana Fish

Kotaro Lives Alone, The Disastrous Life Of Saiki K, Doukyuusei (Classmates)

Howl's Moving Castle, Sword Art Online, Fruits Basket (2019)

edit: I completely forgot Your Lie In April 😭 I would put that instead of something from the bottom row

Death Note, Kotaro Lives Alone and Saiki K have stayed the same since last time 👍

I honestly had no idea that plays/musical adaptations of anime existed until this very moment. Huh, learn something new everyday!

    Have you been to any?

Yes! I've heard that there are musicals of Death Note, Attack On Titan and Black Butler. I'd image there's definitely more of them though.

I unfortunately haven't gotten to see any, at least not in person. However, I did watch the Death Note musical on YouTube. A few people have uploaded it. If the opportunity ever arose, I would definitely go see one. That would be really cool, especially in person :D

  3. I've been listening to the Death Note musical soundtrack a fair bit these past few days, so I was wondering what everyone's favourite musical/play adaptations of anime are? Also, what are some anime that you think would work well/be interesting as a play/musical? I'm not sure how many people in this forum would take interest in this, but I thought it was an interesting question :]

That puzzled me for a while too. The trick is to click on the "eye" icon then enter your spoiler in the box that appears.

This is a spoiler box where you can hide things from people who might not want to see what's in it.

    I hope that helps.

The eye icon isn't actually popping up. It used to when I would use a tablet, though. Maybe it's to do with the layout on my phone? 🤔 I'm not sure.

    Either way, thank you! ^^

  5. I finally finished Your Lie In April recently! Although I had the ending spoiled a long time ago, it was still really impactful. Such a beautiful story. Definitely made me want to get better at the piano 😆

I recently watched Banana Fish as well. Again, such a beautiful story! The ending made me cry but it was worth it. Seeing Eiji and Ash's relationship blossom was such a treat. I would say more, but I forgot how to make the spoiler boxes on here lol. I've also seen a few people complain about the artstyle, but I personally liked it.

I've also picked up Monster again! You'd think I would've finished it (considering my profile picture for the past two years or so and all) buttttt nope. I only ever got around to episode 31 then I just never got around to finishing it. It's a great series, though, so I decided to restart it. I finally got back up to episode 30 yesterday! I love Monster, so I'll continue to watch it :]

  6. my school recently got the death note series, so i borrowed the first three volumes today! i've already watched the anime ofc, but i look forward to reading it too

i've also been re-reading our not-not-so-lonely planet travel guide. it's definitely my comfort manga now <33

  7. the other day i watched the movie Doukyusei. it was a cute and fun watch. i'll definitely revisit it soon :D i watched another bl (i forgot what it's called, sorry!) and i enjoyed that too. i might search for what it's called later (can't be bothered right now, haha)

today i finished watching Our Happy Marriage on Netflix! it was a really beautiful series that i enjoyed. the art was lovely and i loved watching miyo grow as a character, as well as her relationship with kudo.

i've also been watching Your Lie In April over the past few days (i believe i'm up to episode 10-11?). i've only ever heard positive things about it, so i decided to finally watch it. so far, it's been amazing! the story is great and it's been making me want to play the piano more. i don't don't why i waited so long to watch it.

  8. i'm curious, what is your favourite thing about anime? it could be something deep and meaningful to you, or it could be something as simple as it just helps you pass time.

i love anime for many reasons, so i don't think that i could give an exact favourite thing lol. however, i love how anime tells stories in so many different ways. i think it's super cool that it allows so many stories to be expressed in different ways with so many different artstyles put together by so many different people. you'll find something for just about everybody. i also love how it's created communities both big and small, like this forum. i've had many great interactions here and it's awesome to hear the thoughts and opinions of people with a common interest. i also love getting to see so many cool and unique art styles ^^

  9. i just binged Twilight Out Of Focus! i'm a sucker for things that focus solely on romance, so i enjoyed it, haha. it's about three couples getting together in highschool and they're all in/tied to the film club. it was twelve episodes and each couple got three-four episodes centred around them each (the finale was centred around the main couple as well). because of this, the relationships did feel quite rushed, however it was still enjoyable. all of them had very unique personalities and dynamics that were entertaining to watch :]

  10. since it's the beginning of pride month, i thought i'd go ahead and ask who are your favourite LGBTQIA+ anime characters or just series that have queer representation? it could be anything from a main focus in the anime to small side characters, or maybe even just characters that you believe are queer-coded :]
