  1. Hello and welcome to the forums I actually have not started on Tokyo Ghoul yet but it is on my list... my favorite horror is probably Baccanno! (Horror/Comedy).
  2. today I played some Stardew Valley and while stopping to do some random fishing (I rarely come to the beach...pretty sure I dropped in to see if I had any lobsters for a gift for Elliott) I suddenly noticed a head by my crabpots! The near impossible happened and I had a sea monster spawn by the docks! I should've bought a lottery ticket today... >_> practically had a panic attack trying to remember which button on the controller is for screenshots since I never use it lol...

Ahh, I love me some Sly Cooper. Still holding out for a new one. They left the last one wide open.
  4. I'd suggest checking out Big O as well. It's from the same era as Trigun so she'd probably enjoy it. The first season is episodic but the second season has a more continuous overarching storyline and drops the episodic mess. Outlaw Star is also from that era and would be a great pick for any night.
  5. @efaardvark Does burning wood or creating a fireplace help keep your home warm? I keep functional fireplaces in all my Minecraft builds. Either using the lavafall incased in glass/iron bars method (this actually makes some pretty impressive looking indoor firepits, and is great for a single lightsource in a larger room) or using netherrack as a constant burn source. I haven't started gaming yet today, but have been plotting how I plan to spend the rest of winter lol... I've got the Stardew Fever! I'd turn in on right now but Aida is resting in the window and I don't want to disturb her.
  6. @EnviousEnvy I hear you on that. Story of my last few months v_v That said, I have been playing Stardew Valley on my PS4. It was just a day or two in the game, but today I put in probably 4 hours into the game. The updates are awesome New stuff, new craftables, the Night Market is mine at last! And needless to say, I'm enjoying it. Almost had the entire community center done before the end of Year One but my stupid orchard trees didn't grow fast enough! Argh... Oh well, I might plant a couple in my greenhouse so I can get it done and over with. I have a ton of tappers on the trees, plenty of maple syrup...going to have a whole armada of beehouses come Spring... muwhahahahaha!!!!! I may just plant flowers and have vegetables in the greenhouse from now on. I think the PS4 version has been bugged for a while anyways. I haven't managed to get any giant cauliflower, melons, or pumpkins with this savefile, no matter how big the field. And my Rusty Key came around Artifact number 50 something. I started counting when I didn't get it by the end of Summer.
  7. Heard about the leak but haven't followed up on it. Did not get Realm of Magic either. I figure, I've got enough on my plate as it is right now. Still playing with seasons and building an underground mansion to expand my home. Also, I actually enjoy the Laundry Day and the Spa packs. I love Laundry as it brings an added element of realism, and Spa pack for the Yoga. I don't do yoga myself but I love that my Sim can and that it gives her the ability to meditate (something I do actually do in my real life). I thought I'd enjoy the bowling pack more but it's hard to keep a group bowling. They get distracted so easily >_>
  8. It depends really. People buy both today, otherwise they wouldn't still make DVDs for 4 episodes. Some, like @The History Kid said, buy it for the aesthetics, though that isn't always the case either. For instance, my Tenchi VHS were very artful, though my Banner of the Stars individual DVDs (back then there was no complete collection option) had no artsy design when combined (albeit the coverart more than made up for it). Then, you look at Space Brothers and each season's complete collection combines to form a well planned image. I remember the FMA dvds had sn image when combined, though I gave mine away to a friend a long time ago. It all really depends on how much love and effort a company puts into the coverart. I personally prefer boxsets as they minimize the use of space for storage. I currently use two giant DVD caninents with sliding glass doors to store my anime collection in and that is an expensive investment to make. I tend to buy individual DVDs for anime that don't offer a boxset or are out of print with limited availability. Beggars can't be choosers after all.
  9. Same here. Trying not to look. Haven't had time to watch it yet. Will watch tomorrow but though I have season 2, haven't seen it all the way through (can't remember what came up that pulled me away at the time) so I'm going in this time with virgin eyes hehe.
  10. It's supposed to release to all the consoles simultaneously @EnviousEnvy
  11. That's right! Happy birthday @efaardvark!
  12. Hmmm... haven't kept up with it lately but Seasons was my favorite. I love focusing on gardening and farming. Strangerville is fun though too small. I like the map from Pets but don't actually play with pets all that much. I like the map from Island Living and the jobs but also don't play terribly much with it.
  13. Working Indoor plumbing prefabricated on the island. There's a reason plumbers made the almighty toilet folks.
  14. Haven't gamed yet today, but going to tonight! Getting pumped for the new update to release on PS4!
  15. I have a few pumpkin pie recipes but I've never put them head to head against each other. Some of my recipes are old family recipes... It's A Southern Thing Grandma's Recipes And baking them really is like in this video! I actually have recipes that state bake in oven until done. No time estimation or anything to go by. You must be a master level cook to pull them off without staring at the oven for over an hour while it bakes. Scribbles for directions even more illegible than a doctor's handwriting
  16. @Illusion of Terra speaking of food words... dank means nasty, dark wet moldy. In the food world it means real tasty... yeah..food people are weird and I think could better themselves by using a dictionary every now and then. Take my word, apple cider is worth heating up a batch in a crockpot or on the stove if you have guests over in the winter. Quite enjoyable.
  17. Apple Cider is made by mulling it...so it isn't just boiled apple juice if you've ever had mulled wine, it's the same concept. @Illusion of Terra I don't know as they both have their places and I enjoy both. I do enjoy a good hot apple cider...it's nice on the throat, typically soothing and will warm you up. Pumpkin spice...well, I like pumpkin pie and my tiers of my wedding cake were pumpkin (which I loved and unfortunately my guests ate all of it! No leftovers for me. My husband insisted on yellow cake tiers for his half =/), I love pumpkin rolls...but I never have done pumpkin spice in anything not already pumpkiny. Guess that makes me favor cider? I even love love LOVE sparkling apple cider (I make sure to get me a half dozen bottles every Christmas to enjoy chilled). That said...there are a lot of strange things that are pumpkin spice flavored out there. Some that cannot be spoken of here so I imagine the pumpkin spice camp is probably the bigger camp...
  18. Played Stardew Valley today. Between work, storm prep and being sick I haven't done much for me lately so I just wanted to enjoy myself. Played a few days of summer and I'm so relaxed (still coughing up my lungs) now and feeling better. I haven't done much but sleep lately, (often on the couch, midsentence) and it was nice just having fun watering my crops, spelunking, and staying up till 2am (at least she can last that long lol). The simple life. Still focusing on foraging with mostly seasonal seeds, tappers, and honey (yeah, honey is farming but I consider it foraging style farming ).
  19. Any upstanding guild hall should definitely have duels over who gets the last sweet roll!
  20. Mead! I think this hall needs a noble battle kitten...
  21. I'm in too let's pick a time!
  22. Hurricanes are fairly normal for me, and have never bothered me. I've been through dozens, though each one ends up being a bit different. The high winds and rain doesn't bother me, and I wouldn't stay in a surge zone, so I'm usually alright. It's like a squall on the ocean....but bigger and longer. That said, not everyone can prepare as well. I remember the 200 year flood that followed Floyd back in my childhood. That is the sole reason when househunting that I refused to even look at or consider any properties within any flood zone. Wind is fine, water...well, I don't want to lose my home to it.
  23. @Illusion of Terra Well...liberals will always do that...it's called propaganda you just have to be intelligent enough to know the difference. Hollywood changes the endings of stories all the time to promote the current liberal agenda of the day. Just look at Mortal Engines for example. It was blatant and made me regret buying a ticket to go see it (note, I will never buy it on DVD now). Sadly, people are too dumb these days to know much of a difference...or intentionally ignorant rather. I don't trust Hollywood as far as I can throw them...still waiting for all those celebrities to move to Canada, you know? (Funny how none of them pledged to move to Mexico...food for thought )
