Do you have a favorite genre of anime ?

Picked this up earlier today , though I wasn't planning on watching it.

I enjoyed the first episode quite a bit , I love the fact that the MC uses knives and not a gun and I can already see AMV's being made from that little "black hole" scene when the scientist uses the green coil.

The visuals are good and I hope the story will be good as well.

The second episode , though slow was quite good , I like how it was shown that a kill is exactly that and that they are actually killing a goblin to get it's "drop items".

The scene with Manato coming back from the tavern seems like a little bit of a hint at the characters background (especially if it does turn out that they are stuck in a game world without their memories) , it was also quite good to see how killing the goblin affected Ranta and hopefully that will come around again later in the series.

Overall the second episode has helped me have a bit more faith in the series and it's potential.

Caught up with this earlier today , and it has been good so far.

I hope for a good second season.

Just finished catching up and I must agree Saya is awesome

Watched the first epsode , The MC has been great so far I feel that this series could turn out quite well.

First episode was quite good though I am more than a little annoyed at the fact that the characters might just be stuck in a game and have lost their memories ...

I am enjoying the fact that the MC's are weaker than goblins , makes things a whole lot more funny

That being said, many times a producers bank balance is in the negatives during and after something is made. As you said it is a gamble and they are more likely to take said gamble if they know that enough people are willing to pay. The only way they will know this is by signing.

By the time you have a petition to sign the company has already done extensive market research ( meaning that , yes , they will now without the petition) that tells them whether or not the series will actually be able pull in enough cash to compensate for the loss they will have while making the second season.

The only time something like this works is when you have an older series that is liked enough to get a reboot or an OVA series , reboots are more common due to the fact that the anime was released so long ago that many would have forgotten about it or have not seen it in the first place.

A good start to the new season , hopefully we get to see more of Zen and Shirayuki getting closer soon.

It looks as if something interesting should be starting soon with Shirayuki being sent back to her homeland to see prince Raj while a new character is searching for her for some unknown reason.

Brilliantly funny but it still leaves me wanting more , I do hope they could do another season but finding the material would be difficult.

I've missed you too Ryu-nii , You have no idea how much I have missed everyone.

If you enjoy the stories you should check out NANA its brilliant , also The Twelve Kingdoms and Usagi Drop all have brilliant stories , though Juuni Kokuki is a little older...

Hey everyone I'm back , though not at full force , we are still trying to sort out the problems with our line and it doesn't look like our ISP is going to be helpful any time soon but I do have a portable connection so I will be able to get on and talk with everyone but unfortunately I will not be able to watch any new anime due to data :'( .

I do have a large collection of anime on my HDD so I will still be watching but sadly I wont be able to keep up with any of the new series until our ISP sorts out our line.

Nope, but i've heard of it from some of my friends.

It is amazing , it , along with Aldnoah.Zero got me back into Mech anime

I found her short temper bursts whenever Saitama ignored her (unintentionally!) amusing too..

She was brilliant and is definitely joining my harem of waifus

Yes, I hope you are right and they stay normal, although I would like to see at least a bit of growth throughout all the characters, not to the point where they would be considered OP though.

Agreed , I also hope to see the characters get better at their particular skill sets , but as you said not to the point where they would be OP.

Due to various life events, I've had on and off periods with my Japanese learning. Recently though I've had good success listening to Japanese podcasts during my driving commutes and that has helped improved my vocabulary significantly.

 

Going for the N5 would be a good goal, and something I want to really do too as it is a tangible goal and something great to put on the resume.

Might be worthwhile playing a Japanese game or VN. I've got a few... though it had little effect on my learning, the problem with most games are you can generally pummel through them without needing to understand the dialogue. Furthermore it doesn't help when you play more simple games like Mobile Suit Gundam or Hyperdimension Neptunia..

I have a few Japanese RPG's that I play , you can't really ignore the dialogue with them as the story is quite important ... I hate skipping any dialogue or anything that relates to the story of a game anyway , the one I am most interested in at the moment is Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix + , I started it because there are extra areas and Keyblades that you cant get in the normal KH2 and I don't think there is an English version of Final Mix + , so I picked this one up

I happy to see Yato rescued from the underworld though it seems that everyone may be in a lot of trouble with the heavens , hopefully things will be settled without loosing any lives.

A brilliant final episode , though I am still a little frustrated that Saitama hasn't been recognized for his strength.

Especially after his "Serious Punch" had such a large scale impact on the world.

The ending was hilarious though , "Back to one punch again !?"

Hopefully they will get the green light for a second season soon , I would love to see more One Punch Man.
