I've been sick lately, meaning I have also had more time for anime. I just finished watching Hinamatsuri and Princess Jellyfish. I loved both so much and am sad that they ended so soon! They were both such cheerful, funny, and heartwarming shows. I know I will watch them again many times. I have also been catching up on my manga reading list. I have finished volume 2 of Yona of the Dawn, volume 3 of Fruits Basket, volume 2 of The Water Dragon's Bride, Demon Slayer chapter 5, and Haikyuu chapter 37. I have also kept up with the newest chapters of My Hero Academia, The Promised Neverland, Samurai 8, and Black Clover.
I have an upcoming doctor appointment next week where my doctor wants to discuss some test results. It has me nervous as it is serious enough that he isn't willing to tell me anything over the phone, as he usually does. All I know is that my test results were abnormal, but I don't know what that means. Therefore, in the meantime, I am trying to distract myself with happy anime and manga. Along with continuing to read Yona of the Dawn I am getting the fourth volume of Fruits Basket today from the library. Fruits Basket always makes me happy, so it will be a good distraction from the upcoming doctor appointment.
I haven't been around the forum much the last couple weeks due to having oral surgery and immediately after developing a sinus infection. Thankfully, I am now recovered enough from both to get back to my job (freelance writing).

Hope you get to feeling better.
I finally got around to watching Princess Jellyfish last year and enjoyed it too. I didn’t think I would enjoy Hinamatsuri based on the concept, but turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Very funny and some surprising feels, especially with Anzu’s story. Wish they would make more episodes.
Anyway, stay positive and check in when you can.

Drinking a cup of coffee and watching Kanon before getting started on my work for the day. I'm getting further into the series, so it's cool to get more answers to the mysteries going on! Anyone else watching anime this morning?
-
Along with the amazing My Hero Academia and Fullmetal Alchemist, I see you also love A Place Further than the Universe and Yuru Camp! I don't see those mentioned as frequently, but love them!
Thought I'd check out your profile after your help naming the anime from the GIF for me.
-
Ah, this is the only anime forum I participate in, so I wouldn't know what gets much attention other than on Twitter. I'm so happy to hear that My Hero Academia broke into your top ten! That series means *so* much to me. I really relate to Deku in many ways. In fact, I named my cat after him. But, him and I share the same personality, and since I am disabled I understand his struggle of being quirkless and different from everyone else. Plus, All Might, the most powerful superhero, is himself disabled! I love it so much.
I totally recommend watching those sometime soon, they are amazing. I just updated my profile since I hadn't in probably a year, so I added a few new favorites to the end of my list. I haven't seen most of the anime on your list, I think largely because I tend to watch newer anime (as I get distracted by new shiny things) and it takes me a while to get to older anime. But, I did finally watch Konosuba a few months ago.

Hello, everyone!
I've missed hanging out. I haven't gotten on in a long time, as I was busy starting up my freelance writing business, managing my poor health, dealing with mental health and loss, and keeping up with long-distance friendships. However, my business is now off the ground and I am once again lacking in friends, so I have more time to hang out and chat. I look forward to catching up with my friends on here and making new friends.
I love to chat with people about anime, but now that my best friends are no longer around, there are few people I can talk about it with. My sisters are into anime but are unable to watch it must themselves, leaving me little chance to rave about the newest and greatest anime.
Just wanted to update you guys. I will be back online this evening to reply to messages and browse the form.

@SAO LILDOOP, long time no see! I'm so happy to be back, and look forward to being able to chat more! Thank you!

Good news and bad news, but good news first.
1. My sinus infection is improving! My immune system just couldn't fight it off this time, but thankfully the doctor was able to step in and help. Planning on getting my immune system checked out soon so we can get an explanation on why I keep coming down with infection and virus one after another.
2. I finally got a freelance writing gig! I've wanted to become a freelance writer for a while, but I'm always so sick that it's hard to get the time to break into the field. Now that I've broken into the field it shouldn't be quite so hard.
Now for the sad news...
For the past month our cat Pooka (technically my sister's cat) was sick with an upper respiratory infection. He wasn't getting over it so we took him to the vet and got some tests done and antibiotics. He still wasn't getting over it so we took him back a week later, and at that point they found he had feline leukemia virus. He refused to eat on his own halfway through June and we were having to force a food gel, water, and medicine down him with a syringe daily. He started looking better at the end of last week, his congestion was improving and he could breathe easier. But, apparently his body was still too weak to fight off the FeLV and other infections. He passed away early Monday morning. We are all mourning, but my sister is especially crushed. He was her darling little orange cinnamon roll.
Here's a picture of him before and after he got sick. (it's my younger sister with him in the picture) -
I've been too sick to read, my sinus infection had been causing a lot of pain including in my eyes, but thankfully after 3 weeks of it not going anywhere I went to the doctor today! I think between the shots and prescriptions I'll start improving soon. I'm looking forward to it, since I've been too sick to even watch anime, all I've been able to squeeze in the past couple weeks has been My Hero Academia. And obviously, I've not been able to be very social, either.

I'm going to be taking a break from the computer, guys. I'm not doing that well. A few nights ago, just six weeks after my darling Wendy passed away my little Mama Bear, Tauriel, died in my hands. She looked so sick, it was probably either kidney failure or cancer... I didn't even have time to get her to the vet before she was gone.

I'm worn out, but it feels nice! Lately I've been in a vortex of insomnia all night and nap all day. But, today I am fighting really hard to get out of that loop. I've been able to stay awake, and I even went out Mother's Day shopping! Ended up getting my grandmother a pot of flowers, and getting my mom an orchid and chocolate. Also did some online shopping for her, but sadly that won't be here on time. I think she'll like it though, I picked out a pretty sapphire ring and was able to get my sisters to agree to it. It's the first time we've bought her jewelry this nice, I think she'll love it!
Now I'm off to make her a dairy/gluten-free cheesecake while she's out of the house, wish me luck!

Lately, my lungs have been keeping me awake all night, but it's been easier knowing that my sister, INTJ, wakes up early in the mornings and she'll watch anime with me while she eats breakfast. Today she was able to watch five episodes of My Hero Academia season 2! I'm so happy that she finally saw Todoroki's origins. And of course, I cried again.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays, everyone! I hope no matter what holiday you celebrate you are having a wonderful weekend and making the best of every moment.
I'm sick and stuck in bed for the most part, but so far Christmas Eve has been wonderful and I'm looking forward to continuing the celebration (which includes anime).

Woke up even sicker than I've been lately. I think I'm coming down with bronchitis, once again. But, I'm enjoying watching the Erased Netflix Original J-Drama series! Last night I was planning on watching anime on Crunchyroll, but I decided to check Netflix out first just in case. I was all excited when I saw Erased on there, thinking I could more easily get my sisters to finally watch it. I was really surprised to see it was a drama and not the anime, though. I decided to start watching it and it's really good! I'm almost at the end now and I definitely think it lives up to the anime. Has anyone else seen it yet?

Thank you, @RyePotatoes!
@SleepyLeoulf, thank you! It is really hard to be sick at the holidays, but thankfully at least I'm used to it so I know how to have a good time despite it. I know what you mean about it being worth it if you're with your family. I'm planning on going to tomorrow's family Christmas dinner even if I have to spend the whole evening resting in the recliner, I'll still be with family. It will be far better than last Christmas, which was the worst Christmas yet.
Do you watch a lot of dramas? Any you would recommend that don't have too much romance? -
Man, I just got better from my sickness, I feel horrible for you; All I had was a cold and I thought that was a lot. I hope you get better as quickly as physically possible. Best wishes, seriously. As for this "Erased" I actually hadn't heard of it until now. I am still currently watching FMAB, Naruto and Princess Principal but I want to check Erased out sometime if I can find the time. I hope you have a great time watching it. See you.
-
Thank you so much, @SAO LILDOOP , that is so sweet and encouraging! It always helps to have support when going through chronic illness. I was working on getting ready for tomorrow night's family dinner earlier, and while it did wear me out I think it was good for me. Moving around seems to have helped clear my lungs up a bit so it's not quite as hard to breathe.
Both FMAB and Naruto are such good series, I hope you are fully enjoying them! I've not seen Princess Principal. If you get the chance to watch Erased, either the anime or drama, I hope you like it!

I've been really sick today, various organs have been throwing fits. My lungs and heart especially, but the others are making themselves known. Pretty much my whole body doesn't want to be a body today. Thankfully there has been anime to distract me. At the moment I'm watching Naruto Shippuden with my sister, INTJ. I've seen the whole series but this is her first time seeing it, and it's by far her favorite anime. Currently on episode 457. Really looking forward to seeing what she thinks as the series continues to wrap up.
Hoping I can interact on the forum later tonight after I'm done watching with her. My eyes are acting up today, so we'll see.

Please feel better soon dear. *Gives you some soup and OJ* I know distractions always helped me too if I was feeling ill to not think about the pain I'm in or well discomfort of being sick. Just hang in there and gets lots of rest too. I felt a little sore myself when swallowing yesterday so I hope I'm not getting sick as well, who knows though. Taking care of it now though just in case. Take care of yourself, Vivi.
Sending you positive and good vibes your way~

I've been AFK the past few days between my health and starting Overwatch on PS4. Whenever I like something I tend to obsess, and since I'm liking Overwatch I'm trying to learn all I can so I can catch up to all the good players. There's so much to learn, but it's fun! It's been a great distraction from my failure of a body.
@mechaBD, thank you! I'm relieved because even though I was feeling miserable when I woke up I gradually felt better throughout the day and surprised myself by being able to clean my room.
That's cool that you've rewatched it multiple times! It being such a long series this is the first time I've rewatched it, but I've watched the original Naruto many times. And yes, I loved the ending, it was amazing! I do watch Boruto, however, I'm currently behind and need to catch up. I get that a lot of people don't like it, but I do. Especially the arcs with Sarada and Mist Village. You?@SleepyLeoulf, aww, thanks! The support of everyone around me really makes the struggle easier. Lately it's been harder since I'd finally been making progress in my health, but winter seems to have made me go back to where I used to be. But I'm working through it mentally and feel encouraged today.
Distractions really do help! I've been switching back and forth between anime and gaming. Did you end up coming down with anything? I hope you are well!@SAO LILDOOP , yeah, I have a genetic condition and it causes other condition. It's a big mess of "what is causing this symptom this time?". I have a condition that affects my histamines and I'm thinking that might be what's triggering my health currently, my sisters have it too and it's so severe for my younger sister that she'll go into anaphylaxis frequently. I'm thankful that mine, while making me feel bad and keeping me in bed, isn't life-threatening at this time. Thankfully my mom just picked up my new prescriptions tonight, so I can be sure to stay on my medicine protocol! Thanks for the kind comment, the support from everyone really does help me through the hard weeks.

Looking forward to catching up on the forum! I was really busy over Thanksgiving and I ended up overworking which triggered my illnesses. So I've just been binge gaming Horizon: Zero Dawn and Persona5. Thankfully I think I'm starting to feel better, so communicating is easier. Going to try to spend less time gaming since my eyes are terribly bloodshot and strained.
How's everyone?

Thanks, @Optic !

Really busy this week. My family has three doctor appointments, pre-Thanksgiving prep and deep cleaning, Thanksgiving day cooking, Friday we are having family over, and on top of all that someone broke our driveway (they caused it to cave in) so that is being repaired. Plus I have other projects I want to get done, such as sewing an apron. So I might be slow to reply this week but I'm reading messages and the forum as I have the time and will post when I get a chance.
I hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving week!

I am so happy right now! Our neighbors got a very tsundere puppy a couple months ago. He thinks he's a ferocious guard puppy. He obviously wants attention, but he barks at us and runs away when we try to get close. Finally made friends with him today, though! He was so cute, he was jumping he was so happy, wanting me to pet him, licking me, nibbling on me, and jumping on the fence begging for attention when I had to go back inside.

@mechaBDit's an Australian shepherd! He's grey with black patches and his name is Hank.
-
@mechaBDthey really are! He's such a precious puppy, I go out to see him every day now that he likes me.
-
I did too much yesterday so my illnesses are flaring, my legs are too wobbly to stand, my arms are too weak to hold anything for long, and I'm having to nap a lot. Thankfully I have anime to binge watch, hedgehogs to cuddle, and coffee to drink. I just finished season 1 of Is The Order a Rabbit and it was so kawaii! Starting season two episode two now.
-
Thank you so much, @RyePotatoes! Thankfully I'm now starting to feel better, so I'm sure I'll be over it by tomorrow! And then it will be time for Thanksgiving prep. I've been staying as hydrated as a camel. Pudding is always appreciated!
-
Thanks for being so supportive and kind! I see you're from India, that's so cool!
What are some of your other favorite anime?

In my defense, I have watched a number of anime more than once. Baccano, DBZ, Kara no kyoukai, angel beats, High school of the dead, death note code geass (3 times)...... I'd still come up short of course.
Death note is a psychological thriller and not at all creepy and if you love it if a battle of wits or anything related to murder mystrey is something you enjoy. The first couple of episodes itself blow you away with the genius writing.
But it's funny that you don't like creepy stuff. I love it in the anime's I watch and games I play.Makes me feel something intense I don't feel in everyday life. Not so much in movies tho they're just damn scary.
-
I know what you mean about rewatching anime, it's always so hard wanting to balance watching a new series and wanting to rewatch a favorite! I'm one of those people that when I like something, be it a book, music, or anime, I want to enjoy it over and over again.
That sounds really different than I imagined it to be, I'll have to try it soon and let you know what I think! I have this hard to define fine line of what creeps me out or not. It's weird, because when I was little I always wanted to watch scary movies, and they almost never scared me, but that changed as I got older. Kinda backwards of how it usually works. lol
I get that, that's what it used to be like for me! I think maybe that changed when one of my conditions made it so that spikes in emotions, especially adrenaline, will make my muscles go out and I fall and can't move. What kinda creepy games do you like? My younger sister likes to watch a lot of gaming videos online, there's one creepy one she really likes to watch videos of, Five Nights at Freddy's.
-
Never heard of people going backwards about being scared haha. I played the dead space games, resident evil 5/7, alien isolation, dying light,SOMA,FEAR 3, The Evil within 2 and this hella cool visual novel called doki doki literature club (I'd love for you to play it if you can handle it.Read nothing about it before you start!).
I too watch a couple of streamers play. Especially horror games but I'd watch almost anything they play.

September 2015 I got my first hedgehog, May of the next year I was given two more, and then a couple weeks ago I was given Nyx. My first hedgehog, Thimble, was given to me by my sister as a gift. The second two (Wendy and Tauriel/Trill) the breeder could no longer keep and she called and asked if I could take them. And the fourth, Nyx, a close friend wanted to know if we would like her, because due to circumstances she could no longer give Nyx enough attention.
-
@Xyro There were a couple years I couldn't have pets and that was hard, I understand your struggle. At least you can find a lot of cute pet videos on Youtube.
Oh believe me, Nyx's previous owner spoiled her long ago. lol

Your signature, avatar, and cover photo are all too adorable!

So busy today! Trying to fit in anime between cooking (rice, chicken, gumbo, boiled eggs, bacon), cleaning, and packing for a day trip tomorrow. Anime makes for a perfect break from work, though!
