  1. Blu-ray Disc™ media have region codes written in letters to indicate a particular zone or region where you can play the discs. Check the following region codes below :

    • Region A: North America, South America, U.S. Territories, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and other areas of Southeast Asia
    • Region B: Europe, Africa, Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand.
    • Region C : Asia (except for Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and other areas of Southeast Asia)
    • Region ABC : Classified as region-free as it applies to countries listed in Regions A, B, and C.

The region code for Blu-ray Discs is on the disc or located at the back of the disc case. (here is the label from my latest purchase)

    • Some region-free discs may have no codes written on the disc or disc cover.
    • Ultra HD Blu-ray Discs are region-free and can play on devices that supports Ultra HD Blu-ray, regardless of the region where they were purchased.
    • The Blu-ray Disc device or Blu-ray optical drive can play Blu-ray Discs purchased in the same region. This means that a computer or a Blu-ray Disc player purchased in countries listed in Region A can only play Blu-ray Disc that are recorded in Region A, in exception to Region-Free discs and players.
      • This applies to computers or Blu-ray Disc players purchased in other regions, unless otherwise specified in the player or in the computer's documentation. Check your device manual.
  2. You would have to look at the light novel sales and sales of Blueray disks in japan during season 4. The anime is usually made to sell the novels or manga. From some google searching it was popular when the show was airing. I can't read Japanese to get hard numbers on surveys and such but you usually can get a vibe on what the Japanese market thinks.

There usually no hard way to tell if a new season is coming other than expecting it to maybe be announced or show up around the time the other seasons were broadcast. You can usually get a faster heads up if a new season is coming if you read Japanese. If it is coming I would expect an announcement during or after the winter season into spring.

  3. Completely off social media since 2010ish. Only thing I use is discord for communication or my phone for texting and talking to people.

Didn't mind when the platforms were more a tool for news and other tasks but now it's just noise and drama bating. I'm older though so social media used to be a different thing when I was going through High School. Really the only thing closest to social media at the time was IRC chat and ICQ, AOL, and MSN. Heck even myspace just had come out as I was leaving HS. So kind of missed the boom of it while going to college and was more interested in face to face conversations instead of posting out into the void.

Facebook and myspace used to be a good tool for setup of events and the platforms went away from that mostly.

  4. Ah it didn't show up until now. As for DanMachi season 5 I would lean towards summer of next year. Looks like most season were out in July or October with October being a part 2 of a season. That is usually how I look at it if the show is very popular and the studio doesn't have any big shows planned for that time announced.

  5. Yeah 3 eps is good to get a vibe of the show I usually would wait to the halfway point of the season as the creators should have story lines established at that point. I've seen it described as "Better Call Sal" show of The Boys to just meh. But more positive vibes overall.

  6. Whats your favorite ongoing or finish Manwha/webtoon?

Myself I've been following The Breaker Series for awhile and waiting to start the latest season 3 of the comic. Waiting for it to get a bit along as I like to binge this series as it seems to flow better.

Got hooked on the fight scenes and the art really has some weight behind it when it matters.

Other two I've been following awhile is Storm Inn and Nano Machine.

  7. The purchase of large skeletons from home depot and lowes has commenced. They are starting to sprout around me. The horror of seeing multiple extra large skellies with nowhere noticeable to store them for the next season. Impulse buys to decorate your lawn. Some are riding a rusted out dodge truck, others looming over the flowerbed staring at the mail carrier. Who knows where these constructs of human ostentation will end up in the end but for now they loom over us. 😱

Due to an unusual ability to see strange creatures called youkai, Takashi Natsume has never fit in. Passed around from one foster home to another, he was left isolated and lonely. Over time, he has accepted that no one would ever believe him and has closed himself off to his current caretakers and classmates.

When Natsume accidentally breaks an intangible barrier, he frees Madara—a mighty spirit in the form of a lucky cat. Madara notices that Natsume bears a remarkable resemblance to his late grandmother Reiko Natsume, an outcast girl who became known across the youkai world for creating the Book of Friends. It is now in Natsume's possession, along with its power to call upon the written names of the youkai Reiko had defeated.

With no interest in its powers, Natsume decides to keep the book for the sake of his grandmother's memories and to protect it from scheming youkai. Therefore, he makes a deal with Madara: he will hand him the book once his time is up, and in turn, Madara will act as Natsume's unofficial bodyguard, nicknamed Nyanko-sensei. With his newfound goal of freeing those Reiko had sealed, Natsume's relationship with both youkai and humans slowly begins to improve.

It's got a good amount of seasons and movies. The main MC over times forms relationships with the people in the village and it's very slice of life for most of it.
