  1. Front Mission 1st Remake: Another person has been recruited into the Canyon Crows mercenary group. A woman by the name of Meihua Yang who specializes in Melee and Long range wanzer attacks. She joined the group with the skill Double (attacks with two Melee weapons if there's one in each hand) already in her arsenal. She is a POWERHOUSE!!!!! I think I'm in love. XD None of the other characters have any skills yet, so, seeing one in action is pretty fun and cool. ^^ Her proficiency levels still came at the default of 9 though, so, I've been grinding away in the Arena with her to increase her Melee proficiency level. So far she's at 15... or maybe 16... the Switch is off, so I have to go off of memory. I know it's one of those. Oh, her Melee and Long proficiency levels were actually at 10, not the beginning level of 9. I forgot about that... at least I hope I'm remembering that right... So, after completing the last mission with the party's proficiency levels increased to where I was comfortable taking them into the next battle, Meihua Yang joined because Royd (the protagonist of the O.C.U. story) thought he lost a fiancee by the name of Karen in the prologue of the game, but Meihua said Karen showed her a picture of him and that she's still alive and she can take him to her. That's why Royd recruited her. The incident that supposedly killed Karen happened a year ago and Meihua said Karen showed her the picture of Royd a few months ago, so she's clearly alive somehow. I'm really glad Meihua joined the mercenary group though because she's an amazing wanzer pilot. To finally have a Melee/Long range specialist in the group feels pretty cool, too. ^^ Right now I'm grinding away in the arena to try to get everyone's relevant proficiency levels increased to a point that I feel comfortable with, but I'm raking In a lot of funds, too, because apparently the proficiency levels don't factor in to the betting odds in the Arena, so, with my characters at the proficiency levels they're at, they're inflicting more damage than the default damage of the weapons they're equipped with. lol Right now I'm grinding for more money for wanzer upgrades using Royd. I'm betting $700 Huffman Dollars each match with a contestant named Hansel. With Royd's current wanzer setup, there's odds of 2.06 which means I'm really raking in the dough if he wins. rofl This game just got a lot more fun. XD ^^

  4. Front Mission 1st Remake: I've improved the Short weapons proficiency to 16 for Royd, Ryuji, Natalie, Keith, and Frederick while simultaneously increasing everyone's Dodge proficiency between 9 and 12. I clearly need to improve everyone's Dodge proficiency even higher, but in the meantime, I need to work on getting J.J's Short weapons proficiency to 16 as well. Funny thing about having a higher proficiency in the weapons categories though when it comes to increasing the odds in which I'm able to win in the Arena is I can get more money from the bets on my chances of winning than, say, if a character's Short weapons proficiency would be at the starting level of 9 which means it wouldn't cause any damage. So, basically, I can equip weapons that inflict less damage than the heavy hitters I've got in inventory and it barely affects the damage the character in question will inflict on the Arena opponent. So, it's a pretty good way to get a lot of Huffman Dollars pretty fast and with minimal effort as long as I keep my wanzer (mechs the characters use) parts to a point that it can actually be destroyed by the Arena opponent. So, risky, but so far I've managed to win with 1.80 betting odds rather than the 1.54 betting odds I was accumulating funds with before. In other words, I win more money after the match. ^^ It's an interesting revelation, that's for sure. I never would've even thought it'd be possible to do so without decreasing the odds as low as they could go. A tougher wanzer with higher defense, HP, and that's more expensive isn't the only way to win a wanzer battle in Front Mission 1st Remake apparently. ^^ ^^ Currently, J.J.'s Short weapons proficiency is at 12, so I've got a bit of grinding to do before it gets to 16, but I'm a patient person when it comes to games~ ^^ ^^ The next mission I believe is to save a character that I can recruit into the Canyon Crows if I save him from being destroyed. That's why I'm making my party so powerful. Basically, Peewee is in a convoy of supply trucks (he drives one, too) that suddenly get ambushed by U.C.S. units. Tbh I'm not sure what happens if Peewee gets destroyed as to whether or not I'll still be able to recruit him to the Canyon Crows mercs led by Royd, but I'd rather not have to find out the hard way after a wasted attempt to save him only to fail. I've already gone into that mission (O.C.U. Mission 4 I think it is) unprepared and had to quit before I was forced to watch the mercs be destroyed by the U.C.S. troops after I wasted time on a clearly premature attempt to save Peewee from being destroyed. Also, after clearing Mission 4, I can recruit another character in addition to Peewee called Yang, but the way to do it has more steps than I'm able to remember, so I'll be following an online guide to recruit her. Especially since she already has a Skill the moment she joins the party. ^^ ^^ I forgot what the Skill is, but the Guide says what it is, so I'll say the name of it and type its description in the next post. For now, it's time to grind away with J.J. in the Arena until his Short weapons proficiency increases from 12 to 16.

  6. A mixture of disappointment and relief because I heard mom saying something dismissive and demeaning towards me only to look at her to find out that her mouth was closed and her lips weren't even moving. The thing about it though was I kept hearing it as I was looking at her when her mouth wasn't even moving... so, I clearly can't trust what I hear at all. I just need to stop letting what I hear get to me so much because the probability of someone actually saying something negative about me and me being able to hear it is incredibly low. I just wish I'd have had this epiphany sooner before I retaliated to what I was hearing with verbal nastiness of my own... I really don't know how my family and friends put up with me at all. The patience it takes to do so is more than I thought it was... I'm doing my very best to try not to let it get me down though. It's what the voices most likely want since they push my buttons so frequently. So, I'm trying to be in a good mood today. The revelation today though did help me finally start to ignore (or at least not respond) to what I think I hear, so I guess that's the silver lining, but even so... I wish I would've realized that much, much sooner...
  7. Not that I can think of since I don't really get out much. I can't really remember much from when I was a kid either, so, not as far as I can remember. ^^; Do you have a lucky item (it can literally be anything you consider lucky)?
  8. Power that makes me first in lines since I can't drive and don't have a car anyway. Would you rather base jump off of the Empire State Building or drive around in some sandy dunes in a dune buggy as fast as it can go?
  9. Maybe some day if I feel up to it.

  11. Front Mission 1st Remake (Switch): So far I've managed to raise Captain Royd's, Ryuji's, and Natalie's (Royd's second in command in the mercenary group Canyon Crows hired by the O.C.U.) Short weapons proficiency to 12 and raised Royd's, Ryuji's, and Natalie's Dodge ratings considerably in the process. When it comes to Keith though, I might have to use the Guard command a lot to increase his Dodge proficiency to the same (roughly speaking) to the same rough proficiency as the aforementioned 3 mercs. His Dodge rating hasn't increased as much as I'd like it to because I switched out all of the wanzers for the current Canyon Crow members to a hulking type with high defense, but less Dodge stats for the remainder of the training, which, as it turns out, might not have been a good idea to do if I'm wanting Keith's Dodge numbers to increase to where I want them. So, I'll be switching out the jerry-rigged hulking defense based wanzers for the wanzers I had on everyone before which has a total higher chance to Dodge which is pretty much all that's needed to increase a wanzer pilot's Dodge rating other than using the Guard command in a battle. I'm still training the wanzer pilots in the Arena though until I get J.J., the last member of the group (for now) up to the proficiency levels I want my wanzer pilots to be at for the next mission which is where I recruit Frederick if I manage to clear the sortie with him alive and intact. I think it's pretty awesome that players can recruit fellow O.C.U. citizens to the mercenary group, which Captain Royd Clive has been given the authority to do. ^^ Oh, Keith's Short weapons proficiency levels is currently at 11, but I want it at 12 so the Dodge proficiency will also increase along the way.
  12. I hope your arm returns to normal soon. Pain always sucks to have to endure.
  13. For some reason, today started out as a depressing day. I guess because I can no longer determine the real people's voices from the voices that only I hear anymore. It's not exactly an uplifting feeling... There's no escaping them either, even when I'm by myself I hear them. Sometimes I even hear them in my dreams... Anyway, that's why today's depressing. Tomorrow will probably be no different either, even with my medications.
