  1. Alrighty. Princess Principal (this one really isn't too bad, but there is some blood, sword fights, death, all that jazz. Nothing extremely graphic by any means. It's an incredibly fun steampunk spy anime, but it isn't a super light fluffy show either.) Flip Flappers (An extremely fun show, absolutely nails its fantasy aspect. It does however have a tiny bit of fanservice here and there, but definitely not enough to overly take away from the show. Episode 5 is also horror themed, and it does a damn good job of that, so check that episode, but other than that, you should be fine.)
  2. Senki Zesshou Symphogear Season 1 is rather meh, but the next 3 seasons will absolutely fill the OP void in your soul. https://sakugabooru.com/data/54f8bde224f2176ef49097670d4b0629.webm https://sakugabooru.com/data/db920e7443dac5bb7d6f5d3b36545c10.webm https://sakugabooru.com/data/9e08df6f2a5a365943a1ddf8b97e52b6.mp4 https://sakugabooru.com/data/8becf010960bc121fa20bce328f1c28e.mp4
  3. There aren't really any that fit what I'm pretty sure you're thinking. There's a few like Noragami where the MC is a god, but not like, a super OP god or anything, just a minor god. In terms of sheer OP, I know an anime where the MC is so OP she earns the title of "god slayer" and does that, but she isn't a god herself by any means.
  4. I'm just gonna throw you to my alligators. ('-' ) (Blood+ barely works, dunno bout Romeo or Inuyasha, the rest just don't work at all) Yes, yes they can, I can list off plenty e.e
  5. Tamako Market (if you don't want romance then just skip on the sequel movie. It's entirely optional, and while it is a great movie, it does add romance to the mix.) Patema Inverted Could you define "too scary" btw, I have a couple that would work but I'm not too sure whether or not they'd go too far. Like blood here and there etc, but nothing excessive.
  6. Yeaaaaah Gosick is awesome, seen it 4 times, is a solid example of kiiinda what I'm looking for on the romance side of things lol. Unfortunately I don't think any of those other ones really go anywhere o.o Wild Arms might, but I'd rather play the games I think.
  7. Utena is an option, I can't see it cliffhanging just because it's an original. Will probably watch it at some point, heard it goes full Evangelion lol. Shakugan is iffy to me, despite there being romance. I've just heard about there being a lot of meh compared to the bits that are in fact actually good. And while there's romance, it's at the last season, so I'd have to dig through all the iffy stuff to get to it. I may wind up watching it eventually anyways honestly, but, as for right now, I wouldn't say it's overly a priority. Thank you for the recs though.
  8. This... ends? I mean if it does, awesome, it just doesn't at all strike me as one that would lol
  9. But that wasn't even sad, or a tearjerker e.e It just hits you with a massive plot twist, the biggest I've ever seen in anything, and then cliffhangs right after the fact. Plus the romance went nowhere ('-' )
  10. In what way does Sankarea end well? e.e Genuinely curious, post in a spoiler lol. Thanks for the other two though.
  11. Completely forgot to add my MAL, thanks for the reminder lol. Seen Zero, is a good example of what I'm looking for. Trigun is great, and an offhanded way if making the romance requirement work. Galaxy Railroad is one I've never seen, but have heard good things about.
  12. Mouthful of a title, but there you have it folks. Extreme emphasis on the "romance going places" and "actually having an ending" things. By "romance going places" I of course mean, that if the show brings up romance, it is to fully go places with it, be it a confession and a response to that confession, a kiss, full relationship, whatever works, just seriously do some romantic progression that doesn't go as far as blushing sometimes and then ending suddenly, with every possible romantic moment getting ruined by some crappy trope. By "actually having an ending" as simple as that is, I'll explain anyways. I mean that it doesn't cliffhang. Every point that the show brings up should come to a proper conclusion, no loose ends, or at least, nothing important. If they say "We're gonna go kill the demon lord!" well I swear if they don't actually kill that demon lord I'm gonna bash some skulls ('-' ) Anyways, if the show doesn't have both, don't even 'maybe' it, I most likely won't give a damn lol In all honestly, I'm mostly asking so I know some stuff to dish out on a whim when other people ask for that recommendation, since it's rather common in some other places on the internet where I come from, and turns out I only know a small handful, one of which is a mecha, and those get a ton of hate for no good reason. But seriously, no 'maybes' e.e If you go "well, this has romance that cliffhangs but it's rly gud!" I will escort you to the door and feed you to my alligators. MAL
  13. Comical Psychosomatic Medicine 20 episodes, 5 minutes each, but it's absolutely hilarious and is 100% worth a watch.
  14. Unfortunately I do believe you've now seen every proper zombie anime in existence currently. However keep an eye out for Zombieland Saga, which is an anime original airing soon I do believe. Looks odd, but I have decent hopes. Mostly riding on the fact that it's an anime original, and companies would be actually stupid to not put some form of effort into those, as the cost of them hurts real bad if the show flops.
  15. I don't inherently hate fanservice, but it can easily be a massive pain in the ass too. If a show is pure fanservice, and that's the point of the show, with it never trying too hard to be anything that it isn't, then that's completely fine. Ex. Okusama ga Seitokaichou If a show tries to have a serious plot, but shoehorns in fanservice every 5 seconds where there should absolutely not be fanservice, it gets annoying and incredibly distracting, taking away from the show as a whole rather drastically. Ex. Heavy Object Lastly, a show with a genuine plot that has fanservice, but uses it in a way that never conflicts with the show's main purpose and as such, never slows down or distracts the viewer from anything important. These are the best ones imo. Ex. Katanagatari
  16. Oh hey, I think that's Sola. https://myanimelist.net/anime/1965/Sola?q=Sola Tagging you too, just in case. @Nono
