Reactivated my Prime Video account at least temporarily to watch Nippon Sangoku. Had some interesting ideas, kinda like Golden Kamuy with less emphasis on action (when it gets violent it’s usually bloody but over quickly). Started watching From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman. Wanted to see if it’s worthwhile since it got a 2nd season, but still undecided. Not really impressed by the new Ghost in the Shell. Liked the movies & previous tv series better, though this is apparently truer to the manga. Will give it at least 1 more ep to finish the current storyline. Didn’t finish it but might revisit in the future.

If you’re talking about illegal streaming (pirate) sites you should probably get used to them being shut down in greater numbers, though I doubt they’ll ever be eliminated entirely. Not really an issue for me because I don’t use them (though I have watched some unlicensed streams on Youtube in the past) If you mean forums dedicated to anime, things have been shifting towards Discords for quite some time now.

I intend to at least check out Tomb Raider King. The Chinese voices are definitely noticeable, but wouldn’t say they bother me.

Watching series that are too similar to each other especially during the same season makes it too easy to confuse which events took place in which series. Besides I need some CGDCT & moe content to balance out my mood after sone of the darker, bleaker, more violent series. Increasingly though a series needs to make some sort of positive (not ambivalent) impression on me in the first couple eps or I set it aside for future consideration if I can’t find anything else to watch.

Finished Dorohedoro season 2, what a gut punch of an ending Glad they already announced season 3, hope we don’t have to wait for more than a year. Gonna try to finish up Agents of the Four Seasons & Akane Banashi today, start Re:ZERO’s latest season tomorrow.

I just saw that Crunchyroll added the Dragon Maid & Zombieland Saga movies, so will probably watch them over the weekend.

For something with similar settings & themes to Apothecary Diaries try Raven of the Inner Palace, Yatagarasu: The Raven Does Not Choose His Master & the Mononoke movie trilogy (2 currently available on Netflix, the 3rd recently opened in Japan & likely will be on Netflix later this year)

I’ll let you know if I hear anything about it getting more episodes. Started watching Always a Catch. Seems like Mimi is a combination of Catarina Claes & Scarlet El Vandimion Actually hopeful that this will wind up being better than May I Ask For One Final Thing, as that one wound up being a disappointment once the novelty of Scarlet’s personality wore off. Mimi seems much more likable while still being able to kick ass and without relying on an OP divine skill.

It’s actually a Chinese series & initially there were supposed to be more episodes. But there was a disagreement between the creative staff & the people putting up the money, so they pulled funding.
