Ohayotaku

Finishing up Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun & getting current on Mushoku Tensei.

Anime: watching Star Blazers on tv during the late 70s & early 80s even though I wasn’t familiar with the term at the time. Started watching shows like Ranma 1/2, Slayers, Tenchi Muyo, etc on VHS tapes in the mid 90s before moving back onto DVDs. Have been using streaming services to watch anime for about 10 years now. Manga: have never been as into manga as much as anime, but Battle Angel Alita was the first title to really get my attention with it’s art & story (first saw it in a bookstore in the mid 90s)

New eps of JJBA: Steel Ball Run are supposed to be available on Netflix today, so reckon I’ll check what all the hype is about.

Catching up on Tanya the Evil’s 2nd season Tomorrow will watch the last eps (of the season) of Smoking Behind the Supermarket With You & Dara-san of Reiwa

Trailer for the Rayearth remake The visuals are definitely eyecatching, hopefully the other aspects won’t disappoint (the OG anime is one of my all time faves)

Rinko Akaishi from Kaiju Girl Caramelise Henrietta from Log Horizon Goto from Smoking Behind the Supermarket With You

Cerridwen from Wistoria: Wand & Sword her other identity

Crunchyroll’s lineup for the fall season https://www.crunchyroll.com/news/seasonal-lineup/2026/9/15/fall-anime-2026-crunchyroll not that much catching my eye, mainly Apothecary Diaries season 3 & the Rayearth remake. Multiplatform listing of Fall 26 series https://www.livechart.me/fall-2026/tv

New Eat-Man anime in development

Sorry for being nowhere close to your age, but welcome anyway

Just watched a new Kaiju No. 8 short. I actually find Narumi pretty annoying, but this was funny . Supposed to be a new short for 4 weeks. Recently re-watched the Tanya the Evil movie to refresh my memory. And the Shiboyugi movie (way too slow paced & confusing). Currently watching the Ribbon Hero movie on Netflix. And really enjoying Smoking Behind the Super Market With You

Welcome

Saw that Crunchyroll added the Bakarina (My Next Life as a Villainess, All Routes Lead to Doom) movie recently (at least I hadn’t noticed until last night). Re-watched the OVA episode to refresh my memory on the members of her “harem” Will probably watch the movie later this week. Weekly episodes of Smoking Behind the Supermarket With You has FINALLY caught up with the early premiere, looking forward to adding it to my schedule. Re:ZERO season 4 is back from hiatus. How this storyline plays out will determine if it joins the list of isekais I’ve burned out on (Shield Hero / Slime).

The final movie in the Mononoke trilogy is scheduled to debut on Netflix 09/29/26 https://myanimelist.net/anime/61202/Mononoke_Movie_3__Hebigami

Welcome I’m mainly been into anime for several years, but have some familiarity with the other topics, just not the most recent examples.

Welcome does your username mean you’re a fan of the 4th goddess?

Reactivated my Prime Video account at least temporarily to watch Nippon Sangoku. Had some interesting ideas, kinda like Golden Kamuy with less emphasis on action (when it gets violent it’s usually bloody but over quickly). Started watching From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman. Wanted to see if it’s worthwhile since it got a 2nd season, but still undecided. Not really impressed by the new Ghost in the Shell. Liked the movies & previous tv series better, though this is apparently truer to the manga. Will give it at least 1 more ep to finish the current storyline. Didn’t finish it but might revisit in the future.

If you’re talking about illegal streaming (pirate) sites you should probably get used to them being shut down in greater numbers, though I doubt they’ll ever be eliminated entirely. Not really an issue for me because I don’t use them (though I have watched some unlicensed streams on Youtube in the past) If you mean forums dedicated to anime, things have been shifting towards Discords for quite some time now.
