@Animedragon cool new background to your forum avy. Kind looks like an alchemy circle from FMA or at least rune-like. And the green background with red lettering in addition to looking cool fits well with the upcoming Christmas season.Meant to post this to Animedragon’s profile page but didn’t realize my mistake until it was too late & won’t let me change or delete now <sigh> anyway …

Lately started getting an email from CR each season showing how much anime I watched on their site. Kinda cool.
Spring 2024 (April-June): 108 hrs, 266 eps
Summer 2024 (July-Sept): 101 hrs, 257 eps

If CR is for ChruncyRoll ( apologizes for the spelling ) I'd be careful around those links even legit looking ones could be from a hacker than the real company. If you click links your pretty much screwed if you know what I mean. True I could be wrong but CR has a dark history and not as super cool or good as a lot say. Just be careful, however you can bealive me or not your choice. I just thought I'd give a tip / information. I hope it helps you or anyone really.

Definitely avoid clicking links in emails whenever possible. One of the reasons I didn’t post the message here & just gave the totals. Didn’t do a full manual count myself, but 100+ hrs per season is a good ballpark estimate for me ( I usually complete around 20 seasonals plus ones I sample but don’t finish)

Glad to see back, though I’m not overly active here anymore.
Saw on your art topic that you like wolves and was curious if you’ve watched Wolf’s Rain (anime) and/or Wolfwalkers (non-anime, based on Celtic folklore. Same studio as Secret of Kells & Song of the Sea)-
@Ohayotaku Yes I seen Wolfs Rain a very long time ago I never finished it either. It was a sad one though to me at least. No i haven't heard of the other stuff you mentioned sorry.
Thank you for the reply

Planning to see the new MHA movie this weekend

It was decent (not as good as Heroes Rising, but better than the 1st & 3rd movies IMO). On a related note, I also finished season 7 yesterday . Ended on quite the cliffhanger & announced that next season will be the final one. Series has had it’s ups & downs, but I’m still looking forward to seeing how it will all end.
Next anime movie I see in theater will likely be Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom.

“Hot Rodent” trend on social media / celebrity news?
Hell, I don’t even qualify as Monterey Jack.

Still have some NEW series that debuted in 2023 to watch, but think I’m done with sequels/continuations
MY FAVORITE ANIME SEQUELS 2023
Attack on Titan: The Final Chapters (perfect, albeit depressing ending)
Vinland Saga season 2 (the journey needs to continue)
My Hero Academia season 6 (2nd cour) this season revived my hype for the series as the end game approaches
Birdie Wing season 2 (perfect end to a wild ride)
Golden Kamuy season 4 (setting the stage for the final season)
Jujutsu Kaisen: Hidden Inventory / Premature Death Arc (made the movie JJK0 more meaningful on rewatch. And Megumi’s dad was a pretty cool antagonist)
The Eminence in Shadow season 2 (helluva cliffhanger to end on Next project is a movie)
Dr. Stone: New World (setting the stage for the final season)
Mushoku Tensei season 2 (even though I’m team Eris, was good to see what happened to Sylphie & have her reunited with Rudy)
The Ancient Magus Bride season 2 (some nice worldbuilding & an emotional 2nd half. And the final ep was perfect for the time of year)
DISAPPOINTMENTS
Konosuba: An Explosion on this Wonderful World (prequel, didn’t feel as over the top as it should have for focusing on Megumin & her clan).
Rising of the Shield Hero season 3 (supposedly a redemption arc for the other 3 heroes, but they remain useless a**holes)
Jujutsu Kaisen: Shibuya Incident Arc (too many of the more interesting characters were killed off & inconsistent art / animation ruined many fights)
Bofuri season 2 (didn’t finish, too much focus on boring side characters)

Current status: really need to clean the house, but don’t wanna

Just saw an article about the wrestler Sting needing stitches after diving off a ladder onto a guy laying on a table. Can’t believe the guy is still doing this sh*t at age 64. Of course I still remember when he looked like Billy Idol instead of Brandon Lee.

Responding to your request for recommendations here since they won’t be summer 2023 series. The heavy hitters would be Overlord or Re:Zero, but both have multiple seasons & are pretty well known. For something shorter & more obscure: The Far Away Paladin, Skeleton Knight in Another World & I’m Standing on a Million Lives. I’ve heard good things about Grimgar of Fantasy & Ash, but haven’t see it yet. If you’re willing to forgo the isekai requirement maybe Goblin Slayer or Alame Ga Kill. Hopefully you’ll find something that works for you.

Welcome Hope joining the community makes your anime journey more enjoyable.
I’m currently watching season 3 of Dr. Stone (New World) and am curious to see what revelations are made regarding the incident that petrified humanity for thousands of years.
edit: sorry, meant to post this to your introduction thread instead of your profile, but I goofed
