    Watching series that are too similar to each other especially during the same season makes it too easy to confuse which events took place in  which series. Besides I need some CGDCT & moe content to balance out my mood after sone of the darker, bleaker, more violent series. Increasingly though a series needs to make some sort of positive (not ambivalent) impression on me in the first couple eps or I set it aside for future consideration if I can’t find anything else to watch.

    For something with similar settings & themes to Apothecary Diaries try Raven of the Inner Palace, Yatagarasu: The Raven Does Not Choose His Master & the Mononoke movie trilogy (2 currently available on Netflix, the 3rd recently opened in Japan & likely will be on Netflix later this year)

    Started watching Always a Catch. Seems like Mimi is a combination of Catarina Claes & Scarlet El Vandimion 😂 Actually hopeful that this will wind up being better than May I Ask For One Final Thing, as that one wound up being a disappointment once the novelty of Scarlet’s personality wore off. Mimi seems much more likable while still being able to kick ass  and without relying on an OP divine skill.

    It’s actually a Chinese series & initially there were supposed to be more episodes. But there was a disagreement between the creative staff & the people putting up the money, so they pulled funding.     There was a petition to get the series continued, but no word yet.

    Finished Beastars, but pretty anticlimactic.
    Put Dandelion on hold, likely drop. If you’re a fan of Gintama’s humor you’d probably enjoy, but not working for me.

    Planning to watch the rest of Release That Witch tonight. Tomorrow will see Reincarnated as a Slime: Tears of the Azure Sea at the movies & watch the My Hero Academia epilogue special on Crunchyroll.

    Decided to wait on Dorohedoro season 2 since at it’s current pace it will wrap up at the end of May (also may need to re-watch season 1 since it was 6 years ago 😅 )

    Letting my HiDive & Prime subscriptions lapse since their current season offerings don’t really appeal to me.

    Currently watching Witch Hat Atelier & latest seasons of Dr. Stone & Iruma-kun on CR. Will probably finish up Beastars & check out Dandelion on Netflix.

    Finished Golden Kamuy Final Season (though there will apparently be a movie or special to actually wrap up the story). Also finished Medalist season 2.

    Planning to watch Sentenced to Be a Hero & the 2nd cour of To Your Eternity season 3 over the weekend.
