Carryovers from previous season: Fruits Basket (2019); Kimetsu no Yaiba; Gegege no Kitaro. Still making up my mind about new series but currently most likely: To the Abandoned Sacred Beasts; Isekai Cheat Magician; Fire Force; Cop Craft And for something silly and a bit ecchi Dumbbell nan kilo moteru? (though the workout tutorials sound at least a bit legit)

You may like Killing Bites and Kakegurui. Also Juni Taisen: Zodiac Wars or Deadman Wonderland (though that one was never finished)

Isekai Cheat Magician - fairly standard start for an isekai, but the characters seem likable . Pretty sure I’ll stick with this one.

Granbelm - magical girls fighting using giant robots. Not actually good, but different so will probably give it a couple episodes. Could be similar to Mai Hime. Arifureta - basically an unlikable character ranting for a half hour. Don’t usually one-and-done a new series, but will make sn exception in this case.

I did, but I think I actually enjoyed the first cour more than the second. I’m definitely curious to learn more about the world outside the orphanage

I enjoyed the original Steins Gate series and movie very much. Steins Gate 0, not so much.

You can definitely tell it’s by the same guy who created Soul Eater. We’ve barely gotten a glimpse of the characters and the world they live in. Can’t wait to see how it develops.

Considering that one of my complaints when I first started watching this series was I was afraid it might get too cartoonish, I’m surprised at how much I enjoyed this week’s ep Suppose after the intensity of the multi episode arc it was a good change of pace and actually introduced a entertaining dynamic between the three main characters. No surprise that Inosuke didn’t become a demon slayer by the usual method. Nezuko’s reveal was pretty funny as well.

I actually finished it. Funny thing is my biggest complaint isn’t with the weird/disgusting/controversial aspects but how repetitive a lot of it was. It tends to suck you in though as each ep ends on a reveal about one of the characters that makes you curious to see how they elaborate on it. While the ending didn’t make the emotional impact on me that I had hoped, I’m still glad I saw it through. I totally understand a lot of people dropping it because I have some issues with it myself, but if you want something different from the norm and are patient & not too easily grossed out I think it’s a worthwhile experience. As a matter of comparison I would hold it up to PenguinDrum or Flip Flappers.

Seemed like there was a lot more going on this week than previous episodes. In regards to Momiji, I wonder if his dad told his mother about the Sohma curse, since having that strong a reaction would seem to indicate she had no clue it was even a possibility. Just goes to show the real curse isn’t the animal transformations, but how dysfunctional the family is. Always makes me smile how protective Uo & Hana are of Tohru. In regards to Kyo Finally, new cour means new OP/ED. While neither are as epic as the previous ones, both are cute. Especially the OP which seems more upbeat & optimistic.

I think the implication is there were 2 special episodes, but CR only got the rights to one of them.

Finished the special episode of Reincarnated as a Slime on CR. Plenty of laughs and fanservice (though not all the good kind :lol:). Very enjoyable. Kinda curious why it was listed as episode 2 though.

I think it’s Funimation only right now, but last season CR got access to most of their series after 3 or 4 weeks. There’s no guarantee but hope for the best.

Just finished the first episode of Cop Craft. Biggest thing I noticed was how hard it’s trying to replicate the feel of American police action/dramas with all the violence and profanity. Also accentuating the culture clash aspect with the female lead’s naivety and very rigid sense of justice. So far the fantasy aspect seems pretty forced, but hopefully they’ll correct that with some much needed world building later on. If they can manage that and some decent character growth, this could be pretty enjoyable. At least it’s got my interest for now.

@Seshi Yeah, forget everything I said about Arifureta. I just watched the first ep on my lunchbreak. Nothing even remotely likable about the MC and it was almost entirely just him rambling to himself. The parts about being looked down on and being mistreated sounded kinda like Naofumi, but can already tell they’re nothing alike. Poor writing and ugly CGI as well. Hopefully Cheat Magician will be more promising.

@The History Kid not sure if you’ve already seen them but CR put up the 2 Konosuba OVAs over the weekend

Some suggestions off the top of my head: Cowboy Bebop; Megalobox; Hakata Tonkatsu Ramens. Maybe Monster (the MCs life has a lot of promise at the beginning, but that ends very quickly). I’ll also mention Welcome to the NHK, though in that case a lot of the hardship is his doing, and it’s more of a dark comedy.
