As happy as I am to see an end to winter, I don't get that excited about spring. Around here it tends to be far too wet, turning anything that isn't paved into a mud pit. Plus the dampness makes it feel colder than the actual temperature. I don't usually get more active until summer. Though Autumn/Fall is my personal favorite of the seasons.
Almost forgot, one thing I do like about Spring: Opening Day & the start of baseball season

Actually I seem to remember a scene from Higurashi (When They Cry) that involved nails or tacks. I don't remember the details though
-
As far as something current, Subaru Mikazuki & Nana Oukami from My Roommate is a Cat make a perfectly adorkable couple

Afraid neither is ringing any bells.
The only giant carp I can think of is Pokemon . As far as the other one, the only suggestion I can think of is possibly Hellgirl. In both cases it's pretty much a blind guess, so don't put much stock in it. If you can think of any other details (time period, art style, character descriptions) it might give some better ideas.

I guess the whole ‘I don’t trust nobody’ thing is supposed to make Naofumi seem like an antihero or badass or something but personally it’s what annoys me the most. Yes, some people are jerks but others have been grateful or at least willing to give him the benefit if the doubt. It should be pretty obvious there’s a conspiracy at work and a division in the royal family. If he could stop acting tsundere and hear Melty out, he might learn what it is.

NEVER call a girl fat  As funny as the segments with Filo and Spear Guy were, my favorite was probably the conclusion Naofumi & Raphti jumped to when they couldn’t find Melty. Easy to see why Naofumi’ s developing a reputation as a lolicon though.

Hello, I'm excited to be here! Literally just finished watching the latest episode of MS100 and I am floored !!!
Welcome. Yeah, season 2 has primarily emphasized the feels, but looks like the over-the-top psychedelic fight sequences are about to return in a big way. Have to admit the animation for episode 5 set the bar pretty high though.

Both series are by ONE afterall.

Oh that's airing now? Mob season 2? I rarely watch new anime but that's one show where I make an exception
Currently on episode 9 of 13. New episodes on Mondays

Just saw an article on ANN saying One Punch Man season 2 will be a Hulu exclusive in the US

Baldr Force EXE came out in 2006 - 2007. I just finished re-watching the closing moments and it does have a computer virus taking the form of a little girl who keeps calling the MC "big brother"

I also seem to remember the "rape" scene you were talking about, but it took place in cyberspace.
The series is streaming on Funimation's site. Might be worth checking it out.

So the girl with the wings turned out not to be what I was expecting (a bit too similar to Millim IMO). Some interesting information on Demon Lord Leon too. And the scenes of Ragna frolicking with the kids were just too cute

Also, this way I don't have to deal with cliffhangers.
I was definitely on edge waiting for episode 9 of Mob Psycho 100 season 2. Normally I watch Slime first on Mondays, but not this week

Is it better to watch multiple shows at once?
It really depends on the individual, but the type of show can have an impact as well. Slice of Life and comedies don't usually have much of an over reaching storyline and I personally find it more enjoyable to to have those little half-hour oasis a time or two a week then bingeing them.
If a series has a complex story or a lot of different characters' POV, it can be easier to follow if you watch it all in a short period of time. The only two series on my list that really seem to fall in that category for me are Boogiepop & Yamato 2202.

Another possibility: Baldr Force EXE

Parts of what you're describing sound like A.I.C.O. Incarnation, but not all of it
Only other thing I can think of is King of Thorn

I agree that I'm liking it better now than in the beginning. Currently it's probably my #2 of the season, though it's pretty much neck&neck with Reincarnated as a Slime. Shield Hero has more potential IMO though.

Genre: Slice-of-Life, Subgenre: Iyashikei (healing)
Characteristics: low conflict/drama. calm. overall sense of wellbeing
Examples: My Roommate is a Cat, Yuru Camp, Aria, Natsume’s Book of Friends, Flying Witch
While I certainly enjoy exciting anime series, IRL I prefer things to be calm. I’m not really an ambitious person, don’t crave fame or fortune. I have a hard time envisioning myself as a hero or villain. Same goes for a “romantic lead”, and even with harem series there’s usually only one (or 2 at the most) characters that have any sort of appeal for me.
My Roommate is a Cat is probably the series I can best identify with at present. I see a lot of simillar traits with the MC and even in his living conditions, both my parents having passed recently and living alone except with a dog instead of a cat . The main differences in this anime world being that there’s the sense that everything will work out allright, which is something I struggle with IRL.

The explanation I’ve seen offered on Filo’s behavior is that she is more of an “animal” than Raphtalia, making it harder for her to suppress her instincts. For example, her hatred of dragons is actually a natural trait of her species and is hardwired into the primal part of her brain

BTW - speaking of that bath scene - what's up with all those other, much smaller slimes in there with them that seem to be clustering around Rimuru?
Don't know the official answer but my best guesses:
a) they're the slime equivalent of rubber duckies
b) Rimuru underwent cytokinesis
c) some wild slimes decided to crash the party (like those red face snow monkeys)

He certainly dosn’t seem to miss his old life any, though he’s used his knowledge of otaku culture to his benefit at times.
The thing that gets to me though is that he got all excited about meeting female elves for the first time in that one ep. But now he’s hanging out in a hot spring with nekkid Shion, Millim & ogre priestess and doesn’t even seem to notice. He’s definitely not a normal “guy” anymore

Weird/Strange Movies You Like?

I tend to like Guillermo del Toro's films, which tend to be pretty surreal (favorites include: Pan's Labyrinth, The Devil's Backbone & the original Hellboy). There's been talk of him wanting to do a live-action adaption of Naoki Urasawa's Monster for years.
One thing that's pretty messed up about my taste in movies is that I actually prefer the American versions of The Ring (the first one anyway) and Let Me In (Let the Right One In)
I also liked the Ginger Snaps movies
