Hope this gets picked up for US streaming, as Star Blazers (the Americanized version of Space  Battleship Yamato) was my intro to anime and I enjoyed the two previous remakes (2199 & 2202)

Even though I burned out on the Dragonball franchise quite some time ago, there’s no denying the  unparalleled influence it had on shonen anime. And am actually curious to check out the upcoming Sand Land anime. As @Otaking66lives mentioned, his distinctive character designs also impacted the video game industry with his work on the Dragon Quest franchise & Chronotrigger (my all-time favorite JRPG).

Put on hold after ep 12 because I let my Hulu subscription lapse in favor of Netflix. Planning to come back to it once the season ends. The world building definitely has some interesting potential.

Just finished the 2nd ep of Ninja Kamui. While the story & characterizations are bare bones, when it comes to fight choreography & animation quality, it delivers what JJK2  frequently lacked.

Hopefully you haven’t already seen some of these & you find something enjoyable

I started that one as well since the “Villainess” sounded like she might be a genderbent version of the MC for Otome Game Sekai wa Mob ni Kibishii Sekai desu which I enjoyed. But as you mentioned she turned out to be a kuudere whereas he enjoyed hamming things up. Shelved Villainess after 4 eps & like yourself, not sure if I’ll resume.

Honestly this has been the weakest batch of seasonals since I started streaming 6 or 7 years ago. The best things airing are all carryovers from last season (Frieren, Apothecary Diaries, Shangri La Frontier & Ragna Crimson). Though Himesama "Goumon" no Jikan desu has been a pleasant surprise.

I saw Azumanga Daioh listed as one of your favorites. It will always be the first anime to come to mind when someone mentions the SoL genre. Also School Rumble & Yuru (Laidback)Camp. Maybe try the manga Yotsuba, because it’s by the same mangaka as Azumanga Daioh.
