There’s no stopping The Rumbling while the skeleton’s are the most common, there’s a house I drive past on my commute that has what looks like an Ent with a jack o’lantern head that’s the same size (guessing around 15’) in their yard

I’m definitely not ready for winter And if you’re buying Halloween candy in September, it’s not for Trick or Treaters
-
I’ve seen some folks had Halloween decorations up as soon as school started back up, so I’m not early alright? If anything I’m late

Glad to hear. Currently 13 eps available, new eps on Thursdays here in the US

Since you seem to use IMDB as your reference site: https://m.imdb.com/title/tt22249034/?ref_=fn_al_tt_10 It’s more shounen so the violence isn’t as graphically detailed as Hell’s Paradise, Dororo, etc. You might enjoy this as well https://m.imdb.com/title/tt25534100/?ref_=fn_al_tt_2 That’s the version I was talking about. As stated I didn’t really get into it but did remind me of Hell’s Paradise.

There’s a sequel movie Battle of Unato, though for some reason Netflix split it into 3 “episodes”

For those who are fans of dubbed retro anime, CR has added: Mononoke tv series (2007), Gunbuster OVA (1988-89), Angel Cop OVA (1989), Cyber City Oedo 808 OVA (1990-91)

Welcome Sadly I too have lost a number of online homes as forums seem to be something of a dying breed. I still remain somewhat active here though. Hope you find things to interest you here & decide to stick around.

A bit late, but this season’s contenders Zenia from Level 1 Demon Lord & One Room Hero Flay from Am I Actually the Strongest Oratoria Belkam from Am I Actually the Strongest

@Bulleje76 this will probably make you happy, even though expected release date is unknown https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2023-09-24/the-world-finest-assassin-gets-reincarnated-in-a-different-world-as-an-aristocrat-anime-gets-2nd-/.202754 And for the record, I actually thought it was one of the better isekai harems.

Finished season 2 of Tokyo Revengers (Christmas Showdown) & have mixed feelings. The fight with Taiju & Black Dragon dragged on way too long, wasn’t actually interesting & pushed the limits of credibility for a series where characters aren’t supposed to have super powers (except for the time travel trope). But the final 4 eps dealing with the aftermath & setting up the next arc were actually decent, so will probably give the new season a chance when it starts in a couple weeks. Will finish The Duke of Death & his Maid season 2 and the 1st half of Mushoku Tensei 2 tomorrow.

From this season maybe try the Ruroni Kenshin remake. Not sure if you’d like Undead Girl Murder Farce or not, there’s action but also a lot of talking since it’s a detective/mystery series. Another option is the Blade of the Immortal remake from 2019-2020 https://myanimelist.net/anime/39806/Mugen_no_Juunin__Immortal It wasn’t really my thing, but you enjoyed Hell’s Paradise more than I did so it might be up your alley.

Some older anime movies will be screening in US theaters over the next several months

Went ahead and took a chance on A Haunting in Venice & found it reasonably enjoyable. Less grandiose than the previous recent Poirot remakes, so had more of the same vibe as the old PBS Mystery series I have fond memories of. A nice lowkey early start to the Halloween season.

Was honestly considering not to bother since most folks here don’t seem interested in watching series while they’re airing. Anyway, here’s what’s scheduled for the season https://www.livechart.me/fall-2023/tv As to what I plan to watch, lots of sequels (Dr. Stone, Spy x Family, , Goblin Slayer, Dead Mount Death Play, Ancient Magus Bride, Shield Hero, Eminence in Shadow, Faraway Paladin, Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent, Girlfriend Girlfriend) . JJK’s Shibuya Arc, Helck & Ruroni Kenshin will all carryover. Plus we finally get Attack on Titan grand finale in November. The Spy x Family movie and Reincarnated as a Slime OVA probably won’t be available in the states until next year. As far as new stuff, I usually need to watch a couple eps before I decide if I’m interested. Pluto has an edge based on Naoki Urusawa’s reputation & Frieren seems to be getting a lot of hype over on MAL. Also kinda curious about Shy. And maybe try to find time for live action One Piece, new Castlevania & Scott Pilgrim on Netflix

For those with MAL accounts, they’ve added some statistics tabs that give insight into how you score series & your genre preferences. Kinda interesting.

Currently, sonewhere in the 50 - 100 range. I tend to watch seasonals primarily, 15 - 25 per season, but some are single cour, others are double or split. In addition, I’ll also generally watch around a dozen anime movies or older series combined in a year. As far as types, my MAL stats indicate Action, Fantasy & Comedy are my top tags. Personal observation is that I tend to like series with a supernatural angle to them.

Not a furry, but not automatically offended by anthropomorphic characters either. Currently enjoying Sacrificial Princess & The King of Beasts and The Masterful Cat is Depressed Again Today

CR has started listing it’s Fall 2023 roster https://www.crunchyroll.com/news/seasonal-lineup/2023/9/20/fall-anime-2023-crunchyroll

As far as action goes, it comes close to Demon Slayer. But I feel it relies too much on blood, gore & shock value at the expense of characterization & writing. I still plan on checking out season 2 if/when there is one though. I would recommend Dororo as something similar but superior in those regards (plus it’s complete)if you haven’t already seen it (it’s from 2019 though) https://myanimelist.net/anime/37520/Dororo
